Of course, I know that turning $60 into $1,800 is a very ambitious goal. The main purpose of this challenge is to see how far I can actually get while sticking to my rules and maintaining proper bankroll discipline.

if I were in your shoes, I would track monthly ROI, yield, number of bet, average odds and CLV instead of making that $120/$240/$480 milestone the only measurement of success or failure. so even if my bankroll isn't hit $120 within November, I'll know if I'm actually being any better bettor or just getting any good run of variance.

anyway, I will follow your challenge. $60 to $1800 is still impressive. but to me it would be more impressive if you can show evidence of your actual edge after 500+ bets on same discipline. Good luck mate!

From time to time I always see gambling challenges like this.. but from most of what I've seen, most of them end tragically and some even stop updating their threads and forget them as if they never made a promise. So, this time I don't want to have high expectations.. but good luck to you, and regardless of the outcome later, I just hope you'll keep updating this thread because I'm just curious about the final result.

I appreciate your challenge, but I think you should make it clear that this is a challenge purely to entertainment and that, in everyday life, nobody should do anything similar. Why? ... cause its way too insane (and maybe you could even call it irresponsible) double your profits over investment and not take the any profits.

It would be prudent if the $1,800 were reached without reinvesting 100% of the amount into bets... that would be the most prudent thing to do, but obviously that would make the challenge even more difficult to achieve.

Anyway, boring sermon, but I think it is valid to make it clear that a bettor in their everyday life should not do what you are proposing.

I have also tried this personally in the past, and documented it as well, mine wasn't for as long as this, It's usually a 7-15 days journey for me and I might have succeeded in reaching day 5 and 6 a few times with around 1.5x odds or thereabout, it's just the pressure as the days goes by that ends up ruining it, but still it's always a fun journey.

I hope you're able to fulfil the goal, it would have been better if you had kept this top self moderated not to have it spiral out of control, or better still you can lock the thread after few days of updating your monthly progress to allow limited derailing of the thread and repetition of how everyone wants to you succeed.

Wow, it's been a while since I've seen a "blog" like this. Back in the first decade of the 21st century, it was commonplace; everyone wanted to keep a log of their bets. It was very popular because it helped you keep track of your wagers, and having additional comments or consultations with other people always helps, although that's not the case here, because back then I did it with poker.

Good luck with it. I've managed to double my deposits several times, and on other occasions even five times, but that's not the important thing. What's really interesting is how quickly you achieve it.

It's because that is a big goal to achieved. Not sure what the odds are, but getting to higher bets will curtail huge risk on our end. And you need extreme cases of luck to be able to get to your goal.

It could be, but if he is aiming for thousands of dollars, it's not that fun anymore. It's more that you want to win big.

If the OP just takes this challenge as entertainment, then it is a different matter. But it is not right to always see the challenge as just entertainment of losing money. At least he has set a reasonable period to achieve that, 9 months; and strategy. Not like the rest marathonists here with all-in in every bet and risking with ~2.00 odds all the time kind of strategy. The problem he could face is lack of events to bet. With playing only 2% of bankroll a day and goal to double bankroll in a month, I cant imagine how many bets he should not only place, but also win.

This is harsh. Praying for him to fail when he recently started. Keeping the target is not a challenge for him, because he sounds determined. Well, the challenge should be not to lose in the process.

That is only his entire bankroll, it doesn’t necessarily mean he will bet all of it during his journey. He mentioned in the OP that his plan is to use only 2% of his bankroll per bet, so if his bankroll grows, that 2% will also increase.

That’s already a very conservative approach. If he were risking a fixed 2% of the original bankroll each time, it would take 50 straight losses to lose the whole amount. And if he recalculates the 2% based on his remaining bankroll after every bet, the risk is even lower.

We can watch op try though, there's no harm In that. I like seeing from time to time gamblers create these kind of challenges because it helps to motivate those of us who also gambles that it's not impossible to have a defined target even if we know it's quite difficult. Ive tried something like this before but with a bigger bankroll. The problem is that it's gambling and I lost the money unfortunately. It's quite difficult to keep to your rules in gambling compared because ones you find your self losing too much you just lose hope on the target and want to risk it all. It's different from trading though and since the op didn't specify anything about trading, we should leave him be and watch how it goes..

First of all, I would say that you are not chasing aggressively because of the strategy you are using to carefully split the days that the bets would be placed but regardless of that it is still a rollover which makes it risky. I'm curious to know if the first bet you placed on the first of September was successful. I don't think it is going to end well but you can try, you are not the first that have tried such a strategy, there's nothing you are doing now that others haven't thought of.

Another thing to consider is the fact that it's just times  30 which isn't really much value but winning in betting most times doesn't have anything to do with if the odds is high or low, at the end of the day anything can happen, you might end up winning or losing. As long as your stake or bankroll is an affordable amount you can lose there's nothing wrong in giving it a try.

No side is safe both gambling and trading are risky,  you just have to stick with what work for you, if you're getting it in gambling stay gambling,  if trading is giving you the desire profit also stick with it, I choose gambling over trading because in gambling everyone have same opportunity,  with low stske you can generate millions Ober night if your luck shine, but in trading you need good capital before you will make huge sum of money. 

Op has a plan for themselves and has promised to update us monthly on his achievement, let's watch and see if he will be consist. This is one area in gambling I flown at, there is not need to be consistent in gambling,  setting a $1800 goal is not a goal for me, people are wining that in a day. I won't encourage anyone to set such goal in gambling. Let's stop putting ourselves to unnecessary pressure.

The same experience here but something tells me this time things will be different with this particular challenge because from how things are looking we will not get another dead thread but an active one with replies on how things are going. I wish him success as we will be hoping that he can achieve something even though he does not get to his full targets but at least he gets something very reasonable that he will not consider his whole attempt a failure. I do not like to bring my gambling challenges to the public to avoid pressure but if he can gamble well under pressure then no problem entertaining us.

For me it would be ideal you update it every week to know your progress, of course if you don’t mind I will also ask for you to be including the games that you are betting on and your options so we could also track the winning progress as well. Because most time you could ran out of funds and you may deposit additional funds without us knowing that you have lost all the initial amount deposited on the gambling site that you were using to accomplish your marathon.

You have a point though, at least, the OP wouldn't just come from no where to tell us he is still going when for real we don't know. Weekly will be better with a screenshot of the games he played and how they turned out, of course with a name we recognize that is related to his account. With that, we will be sure and keep accurate track with him.

Anyways, it's gambling and am not expecting it to be a must win for him. Anything can happen. It's just predictions and he may be lucky or not. But it will really be surprising to as the OP come out with a positive result. The journey is far, and it's not gonna be easy. This will keep him always betting either cover up loses or increase winnings which I think it's not too good for a healthy gambling habit. All the same, good luck to him.

All I can wish also is the best of luck but what I would have loved to know is if the betting marathon was on specifically just sports betting or on casino games or a mix of any of the betting games available with same strict discipline to reach the goal intended.

I can't say this would be an easy feat because it ain't trading where a particular strategy would be profitable, this is gambling on a site against the house edge and other variables that may try to influence emotional decisions and expectations.
