I understand the fact that there's always a huge room for AI improvement, and that every year AI becomes more developed and useful in different angles of life. But AI replacing the jobs of medical practitioners is something that I don't think will be easily conquered by AI. AI is just a tool, it can help perform surgeries and operations but it will never replace the special roles of doctors and nurses, or the dentists and pharmacies.

However, AI can make their jobs more efficient and effective, but in every AI procedure, these medical professionals will always be present, even though they won't perform the whole operation. I know its quite scary for us humans, but time will definitely come that AI will be a big part of the jobs of medical professionals.

You are mistaken. Machine learning diagnosis was already better than most doctors and that was many years ago. So if the machine can do better diagnosis and better suggestion of medicine and treatments than doctors, why would we need the doctor? Machines or AI do not need to be perfect, they just need to be better than humans and we are going fast into that direction. Nobody can say when exactly this is going to be, but any kind of denial of this process is just wrong. Those jobs are not hard at all to replace correctly.

You are mistaking AI-enabled tools from the current generations with actual AI and robots. An AI tool such as an AI toothbrush will not replace a dentist, but a robot that does dentistry better than most dentist will. Once we have robots that are skilled like that we are going to see emerge new business models of how services are provided, but in those cases there will be almost no new jobs created it will only be about replacing jobs.

That is how they are going to do it in the last stage of this, robots fixing and making more robots. As these technologies advance I do not see a need for most humans in that production process, it will be mostly just the owners and some managers that own the whole operation. But this kind of future is dangerous and we need to see how we can change the current way of life into a compatible way so that humans don't suffer, but instead thrive.

As long as the AI is still being talked, there will still be discussions about it anywhere including in this forum, and TBH, having some conversations about it is fine. I mean users here will learn more about AI as many talk about it, right? I agree with what you said though that IA will not take ALL of the jobs, and nobody has even claimed it, but what many are saying is that there will be jobs that will be taken by AI. What are those? Probably the jobs those tasks that are "routinary and repetitive".

Like you, I don't even want to trust my life with some robots out there so I don't think that those on the medical fields will be replaced by bots. I don't like it, and so does the majority of the people. For me, AI will be used in different ways to make the human more efficient in what they're doing, not taking their jobs from them. Toothbrush that has an AI with it? Kind of funny, right? I mean that's how advance our thinking is right now when it comes to AI that even a mere toothbrush could make those dentists out there jobless, and I'm not surprised by it. Will I use that thing though? Probably no.

I'm still leaning towards the fact that there will be jobs that will be taken by AI, but we're not there yet still, OR there's a chance that it might not happen at all. I've seen huge companies laying off their employees just so that they reduce the cost, and they'll just rely on AI to do it. Ending? They ended up hiring humans again to do the job that an AI is supposed to do.

Actually AI isn't bad, but I do think we're really past it. I think early 2000s we already hearing that technology will be taking over and we overestimated all of it, right now isn't different. I'm fine with it but I don't really think all of those jobs will be taken over, probably not in this century. It's just people speculating the worst case scenario, people fear what they don't understand and that's basically the future. Those people who fear it are actually the people who's not seeing it firsthand or has little to no nothing about it.

AI was created specifically with the aim of replacing humans, not with the aim of becoming yet another tool for humans. Currently, the level of technological development has not yet reached its peak. By the middle of this century, robots will change the world. People will lose their jobs and means of subsistence. The population will continue to decline. I have seen cases where machines are running medical functions for example surgery in a hospital.
I have seen where a machine is running service in a hotel, the machine was created to serve people food and drink in the hotel’s restaurant.
I have also seen AI teaching people in schools.

With all these functions that AI or machines are doing, as time goes on you will not be seeing jobs anymore because AI or machines are doing the jobs more better than human so people that have companies or businesses will always prefer to hire or buy machine or AI to work for them than employing human.

I know how bad AI can be for people, I get pissed how some people used them to make useless videos, the voices are horrible and the representation are poor but there are some work that AI has done that are incredible. That’s not true. Professionals in the medical field don’t believe that. Robotic assisted surgery has been in existence since 2019 and doctors have never been worried about losing their jobs. There is more to care and patient recovery than just diagnosis or fixing a broken bone, people want to feel safe and reassured - that (empathy) is something that AI can never mimic.
