There are lots of reasons to be motivated. If not for anything, looking back and realising that you could invest in bitcoin with the little capital you have, instead of waiting to make alot of money to be able to invest in gold, real estate and other capital intensive assets. That feeing should motivate anyone to be serious with what ever approach he is adopting to invest in bitcoin.

I'm addition to this benefit, they get to control their assets by themselves and will face no restrictions except they are using third party platforms to store their bitcoins. Decentralization is a very key feature bitcoin offers. Everyone is getting interested in bitcoin, that's a big motivation to keep moving .

Well, decentralization is undoubtedly a great feature of Bitcoin, and it should also serve as a motivation for its use, but are people really utilizing it these days? I don't think so. Most people are more into centralized platforms and services than using self-custody or non-custodial systems such as wallets, because they believe they can trust centralized exchanges and services more, mainly because they believe they can more easily lose access to their assets if they keep them in self-custodial services but that's not true, the security of your funds depends on how serious you are about the security itself.

I think the recent coldcard attack and incident has become a huge setback for this in general, because even those who were starting to believe that self-custody is better and safer, and most us would also recommend the same thing to everyone who is new, but after this incident, people now think that even self-custodial services are not safe if your funds can be stolen from inside your hardware wallet. However, things will get better over time, hopefully.

I think most people have the same motivation, joining Bitcoin holding for earning good amount of money. Although they also claim to be interested in the technology and its decentralization concept, they must also want to earn profits. It is quite reasonable because holding Bitcoin for around 3-4 years will potentially earn good profits. Moreover, the profits in Bitcoin can be categorized as one of the most significant returns. Well, I don't think holding Bitcoin is a kind of saving, it is an investment. If we want to have saving, we can hold fiats in bank accounts.
