Why do people invest in Bitcoin?

Bitcoin investment does not require too much capital to start up, and for most low income earners they find it more convenient to invest in bitcoin with the little amount of discretionary income available to them. Instead of looking for huge amount of cash to start up an investment, they choose to only make use of the little money they can afford and invest with it in bitcoin, it also gives them the space to be able to buy bitcoin and hodl whenever they are able to get a discretionary income especially since the DCA strategy allows them to do so. So it’s easy to say that most people invest in bitcoin because it doesn’t require them too much stress of looking for a huge amount of money to use and start investing.

This could be one of the reasons people tend to invest into Bitcoin. However, don't forget that Bitcoin isn't the only investment you can start with a small amount of money.  Many stock, ETFs, and other investments can also be bought with very little capital, especially now that fractional shares exist.

For me, people select Bitcoin rather than some other assets due to the long term upside.  Bitcoin has the potential to deliver much bigger returns than many other assets, and that's the main reason people go for it.

Well possibly other members must have already said do your own research. I will keep mine simple people invest in Bitcoin due to inflation of fiat currency, easy transactions from overseas, and also for personal security/decentralization, and so many more. Its potential is unlimited because the technology keeps evolving. Only 17 years of existence, and almost everyone around the globe has heard about Bitcoin though not everyone has adopted it yet because most folks don't believe in it, Most of them who have invested in a shitcoin because of hype ended up calling the entire crypto space a scam, while some still feel it's complicated because, unlike fiat currency that is a unit of account, Bitcoin isn't for that we still need fiat currency to determine its value. My best advice for a newbie is for you to invest based on your standards. If you are looking for a quick profit then you will probably end up selling at a loss. And lastly stay away from influencers online. That's all.....

There are lots of reasons why people have invested in bitcoin and it is worth knowing that, there is difference in adopting bitcoin and investing bitcoin.
Let me explain further, people can adopt bitcoin for their regular daily transactions without having to invest in it for holding purposes but rather for transactional purposes while investing simply means that, one would be hold b the coin over a period of time either for longer time or short term but these set of people are not interested in spending bitcoin daily but just focused on buying and accumulating for several reasons but one major reason why people hold is to get a reasonable return on their investment over a period of time which is one thing bitcoin has proven to offer .

I agree that the exponential growth of bitcoin won't be happening now.
But it is still going to continue to grow and those gains won't be the same as before but they're still gains.
We haven't seen the peak again and the potential highest peak might have not come yet. A million they say, it's only a matter of time.
Maybe few cycles or less than a decade.

It definitely still has the potential to hit $1M, but even that would only be a bit over 12x from where we are now and it would probably take more than one cycle to get there.

I dont want to let down some people, but that's simply the fact. It is very unlikely that Bitcoin can keep doing 10x in single cycle as it did before, just like the days of 100x-1000x returns are pretty much gone. Given the market cap of Bitcoin, which is nearing $2T, it is not feasible to expect such tremendous returns from those early days.

The potential is there but if there are those predictions who says that it will reach $1M and giving specific time, that won't do.
We know how volatile Bitcoin is and we have to embrace the realistic approach of predicting.
But that's the essence for them when they predict, they have to give high numbers almost on immediate action for the sake of clout.
We all believe that $1M is going to happen but not as soon as possible, it has to go through for a few cycles still.

You shouldn't care about why others are investing instead be more concerned about why you're investing and if you aren't then focus on why you aren't investing and that'll teach you better because others opinion don't really matter but only yours.

Why do you find Bitcoin fascinating, is it because of it's monetary advantage or self custody and privacy qualities, others can tell you their reasons and it doesn't relate with yours but still that doesn't mean you shouldn't be investing because this could've been your only chance to get the fulfilment you need but because you're listening to what others have to say, you miss out on the oppynity of a lifetime.

If you want to help yourself then focus on yourself and the same goes for all beginners here, your concern shouldn't only be how to accumulate Bitcoin and protecting them from scammers.

Exactly, no matter what our reasons of investing in bitcoin is when we hold for long period of time then we might eventually see benefits from it because the price of it isn’t stagnant and bitcoin value increases in long period of time so our holdings increases in value.

Opinions on Bitcoin as an investment differ.  Most Investors invest on Bitcoin for potential financial growth because Bitcoin offers high return potential and it has emerged as a primary digital assets for Investors that are seeking for long-term financial growth due to its unique structural properties and expenditure adoption, which has a historical of dramatic price increases that attract many investors that are looking for the opportunity for significant high returns of financial profit.

The Bitcoin market is completely unregulated and no one can ever say what will happen in the market. So even if a person is successful in holding it for a long time, no one can say that he will make a lot of profit by investing. If we look from the past to the present, we will see that every investor has been successful so far and it is expected that in the future we will see the price of Bitcoin increasing by a lot.

Although it is still the best asset to fight against inflation, but maybe in the future we will see every person using it to fight inflation. People have different different reasons for investing in bitcoin, but self custody is one major factor that gave bitcoin the edge that made most people to invest in bitcoin. Hedge against inflation is also an important reason why investors are turning to bitcoin, but nothing beats self custody. After everything people have been through in the centralized fiat system, when the opportunity of self custody came, it was the breakthrough in the financial sector that most people has been yawning for decades, so it was very easy to make the switch to bitcoin.
