If institutions hold billions in bitcoin waiting for the right time to sell, is it a better adoption than widespread every day usage?
One thing you should know about institutional investors is that they are diehard sellers. They hold the key to the success of many global assets in the financial world, and we can rightly call them the pillars of most of them. Bitcoin's own can't be an issue, as they are dependable holders who don't sell anyhow.

Quote
By institutional Involvement I meant; Institutional investors, ETFs, companies holding bitcoin, banks in bitcoin;
While,
By everyday utility I meant; people using bitcoin for payments, casinos accepting bitcoin, remittances, cross-border payments etc.
Is this even a thing of debate? Long-term holders/investors hold roughly 70–75% of Bitcoin’s circulating supply, while roughly 25–30% is held by short-term holders and other actively moving coins. The equation has been for long and has not changed anything southwards.

A lot of people have not invested in Bitcoin and in the future more people will invest in Bitcoin, this means that in the future the price of Bitcoin is going to grow because bitcoin will become more valuable, if anyone is investing in Bitcoin right now, in the future the person is going to make good profit and yes those who are buying Bitcoin are doing it with the intention of investment.
Financial independence is what a lot of people are looking for and for you to get that without interference from the government

Bitcoin is gradually becoming the number one choice to invests that's because it is good hedge against inflation. The world is turning to bitcoin so we should  also expect alot more of people to invest and hold bitcoin as a store of value. However there's no guarantee that holding bitcoin for the future means you will make huge profits in the future as we don't know what the future holds rather, the hope that we have that the bitcoin price will go up in the future is based on bitcoin potentials. So the idea that we are going to make good profits if we can hold bitcoin for the future are just speculations as we can't be sure of it.

If we're talking about uncertainty in the future, that applies to every investment and asset, not just Bitcoin. Nobody can guarantee stock, gold or even bank deposit will give the return we expect in the future.

If there is one thing that's certain, maybe it's death. Other than that, nothing is really certain when it comes to the future.

If we believe gold and stocks will still be around and give us returns in the future, then I don't see why we should doubt Bitcoin.
