I’m still a beginner in Bitcoin and trying to understand how people make their decisions How do you decide when it’s the right time to buy, hold, or sell Bitcoin? Do you mainly look at the price and charts, or are there other things you consider before making a decision?

It works the same as with any other asset in the world.
If you have some experience in investing you could apply your techniques here.
Ultimately there's a saying ''buy when there's blood on the streets''... Regarding Bitcoin it means buy when there's a massive contraction, people are selling at loss and walking away, proclaiming it is going to zero/much lower.
You could also apply technical analysis on high timeframe charts - that's actually a good idea if you don't really know where to start because there are good books on it as well as other educational material like Youtube videos.
But after all, it's more about conviction than anything else - i.e. if someone believes BTC is going to $1 million and plans to sell there, it doesn't really matter whether they enter the asset at $70,000 or $50,000.

Yes, if you are planning to buy, then you should buy when the price is low, i.e. during the bear market. And so when we go into the bull run, then that is the best time to sell. Although selling is subjective, as there could be some events in your life that you need to sell some or all of it because you needed money for some emergency (this happen to me before). But in any case, it's better to really go and invest in one full cycle, or at least 4 years and see how your investment goes. Remember though that there is no one formula that really works for everyone. Each one of us are very different, so just make the best out of your investment and just be optimistic that if ever there will be a time for you to sell, then you should be in the profit side.

Bitcoin is volatile, so there is no way you can accurately time the market. Since bitcoin isn't like the many other shitcoins out there, you can buy it at anytime of your choosing to be honest, or you just apply the DCA strategy to guide your purchases.
You do not expect anyone to tell you when you sell or how long to hodl your coins, that is your own personal decision and based on circumstances and events that happen in your life. Personally, i hodl bitcoin for the long term, and that's because i have extra sources of income in real life to take care of my needs. If you invest in bitcoin with most of your funds and you do not have a steady income stream, you'd struggle to hodl it for too long, so when to sell or how long one hodls is relative.

I’m still a beginner in Bitcoin and trying to understand how people make their decisions How do you decide when it’s the right time to buy, hold, or sell Bitcoin? Do you mainly look at the price and charts, or are there other things you consider before making a decision?
We decide when to buy, hold and sell Bitcoin based on what we want to do because in Bitcoin we have folks that do hold Bitcoin for long term ( investors) and we also have folks that do hold for short period of time ( traders) and inside these traders we have different category of traders, we have the ones that hold trade a day, few minutes and those that hold for a week and more. So I believe this answers your question right because you should know which of these you want to do but I don't recommend newbie to trade Bitcoin because of its volatility.

If there is no formula than investing for at least 4 years is not going to work for everyone as some people can come right in when the market is about to bounce back and they inevst them ride the wave up to a new all time high and make lots of profits. Investing should be done in the way you like and not according to anyone because of the same reason that what favours others might not favour you like you said but holding has always been one strategy that works very well for all those that do as it is supposed to be done without selling in between the times you are suppose to be holding. To make decisions on when to buy, hold or sell depends on what you want personally.

I put a cap on its weight. If it goes too low, I buy. If it goes too high, i trim. I pretty much do the same thing for all my assets. It is called "having a permanent" portfolio. I rarely abandon a position for good. I usually hodl them for years. Say I got some btc and its current weight is somewhere around 6%... (that's a made up number, it is not mine) If btc's weight in my portfolio goes as low as 3%, below 4%, I start adding... If it goes above 10%, then I start trimming. That way I keep making money mo matter what happens to btc, but again, like I said, these are not my brackets, not exactly. But you got the idea hopefully.

If you are new to the Bitcoin industry, it is essential to learn about how the system works before investing. Investing in Bitcoin involves some level of risk because the price is volatile. We might not know when the price will drop or rise to suit your predictions. Since I am a long-time investor, I don't look at charts all the time. I am applying the DCA stractegy to accumulate Bitcoin. I use a part of my income periodically to buy Bitcoin.

Before you can make decisions in bitcoin investment, it is important to understand how it goes. anytime you invest, you can face the challenges and know how to deal with them. Bitcoin doesn’t have an actual day to buy. You can invest anytime you are capable of buying, because bitcoin is volatile and you can’t predict the outcome. As a newbie in bitcoin, you should always try to make research about bitcoin and learn things. And to start investing in bitcoin, you can use the DCA method. That can really help you a lot and minimize your risk when keeping bitcoin for the long term.

First of all, you need to be clear about which path you’re on, whether you’re buying for the long term (as an investor) or just to make a short term profit (as a trader) as both require different approaches. Let’s assume you’re an investor. This is certainly easier for beginners, to start, you only need a basic understanding of Bitcoin and discretionary funds. After that, you don’t need to worry about today’s, tomorrow’s or next month’s prices, because your focus is long term. So, once you have the funds available, you can make a purchase right away. To take profits, you can plan for several years, perhaps 4-10 years, which increases your chances of maximizing your returns.

It's simply "Buy the Rumor, Sell the News" (BTRSTN), that's what you can do when you want to trade in crypto. But there is a lot that must be researched or checked in more detail to determine when to sell and buy. Look directly at technical and fundamental analysis so that you will know how and where the crypto market will move. Because now the crypto market is not easy to predict and that makes it more difficult because of policies that are suddenly in favor or even against crypto.
More narratives are being created regarding the price of Bitcoin and how crypto will develop, but I always stick to "Buy the Rumor, Sell the News" (BTRSTN). For the choice of whether to hold or not it depends on each person's strategy, because holding for the long term is an investment that must be made consistently.

I’m still a beginner in Bitcoin and trying to understand how people make their decisions How do you decide when it’s the right time to buy, hold, or sell Bitcoin? Do you mainly look at the price and charts, or are there other things you consider before making a decision?
Understanding bitcoin can help you decide to invest in Bitcoin and how to buy bitcoin. Bitcoin is volatile, and when investing in it, one needs to hodl for a long time because it is a long-term investment. There is no perfect time to buy bitcoin as long as you are investing long-term in bitcoin. If you are interested in investing in Bitcoin, you don't have to worry about the price, considering if it is not a good time for you. There is no perfect time to buy bitcoin; every time is a good time to buy bitcoin. Understanding bitcoin will enable you to make good decisions about everything that has to do with bitcoin, and it will also help you develop a good mindset about the volatility of bitcoin and how you can take advantage of it.

Looking at the charts mostly are working for the day traders. But if you're a long term investor, it won't matter because all you're going to think of is the higher price when you should sell. While historical charts can also help to make you decide to buy is by realizing that it has gone that far and it's now more expensive. And with this, it stops potential buyers in doing it if they think that it's quite expensive even it's not since your vision is long term. or are there other things you consider before making a decision?
Yes, as long as money is on hand there's no need to prolong the decision. I'd buy it right away because I might spend it on food and other stuff.

Actually if you wants to purchase bitcoin, theirs no specific time or conducive time to purchase bitcoin, because the price is rotational and it changes price at any point of time...It's obvious that as a beginner who wants to venture into bitcoin buying, Selling and holding, you need to make a research, to know when to buy and to sell....it's necessary to make a research for that...because it's through the outcome of your research will give you the courage, hope to proceed for the journey... Basically, people do emphasize that the right time to purchase bitcoin is when it's on the dip, so if you're a beginner and you're fully aware of the risks involve for the investment, i will advice you to purchase on dip, and also you can follow your charts to buy if you do really understand the chart very well....because it's when you're convinced very well about the price is when you will purchase....

How people make their decisions doesn't mean you'll also be doing the same decision perhaps you can learn from them or tweak something. There's no right time on all, it's just your feeling and thoughts that you have to buy or hold it because you think it will go up or sell something because you think that it will go down. Of course you'll be thinking that's the right time but you'll know the real outcome after that because we could always go wrong. I think if you're trading you'll look at all of these, it's a no-brainer stuff.

Intuition, experience, and knowledge. Your knowledge and experience in investing will greatly help you in making decisions. Now experience differs because I assume that you're a beginner, and this is the reason why there's a thing called "THE INTERNET" because you could learn things online that will help you make better decisions especially on that one. How do I decide? I just know that we are in a bear market right now so it's the right time to accumulate Bitcoins for the long run then after that, I'll be holding it for years then when the bull market comes, I'll sell it all. Rinse and repeat. I look at the price, and the charts as well, and analyzing the markets help me as well. You could do the same as well and make better decisions. As for intuition, I rarely use it because I always rely on charts. Charts don't lie.

Yes, it's the best way and strategy to used in Bitcoin market. Although if I'm not mistaken, DCA is used in stocks, but applicable to Bitcoin because we operate on cycle. Maybe others decide base on their capacity to buy and how much discretionary funds they have at a given point. But if you wanted to be a investors that doesn't rely on charts or graphs, then using DCA is the best strategy. No emotions involved, you can step aside money every week or whatever your schedule fits to be able to accumulate Bitcoin overtime.

How many decide this is the same way you decide you need something and make plans to purchase it, simple. Bitcoin purchase isn't different from any other thing that requires plan and funds because you can't use your last funds to buy it and then fold your hands and wait for it to start yielding profit. I always try to tell people whenever I'm talking about Bitcoin that it's not a criteria to own it just cause Mr A does but rather you decided to join the community because you want to. Investing in Bitcoin isn't a walk in the park and without proper guidance and research, you'd end losing more than you planned which could in turn make you view it like Haram or even regret ever involving yourself in it.

First of all, I would suggest you to try to learn more about Bitcoin. There is no fixed time to invest in Bitcoin, the main thing is how long you can keep the investment. If your plan is long-term or you plan to hodl for one cycle or two cycles, then you can buy Bitcoin at any time. Personally I try to buy in the bear market using the DCA strategy and try to sell in the bull run, meaning I aim to hodl for one cycle. There was a golden opportunity to buy Bitcoin a few days ago, I don't know if I will get that opportunity again. So some people have mentioned the DCA strategy above, so you can continue to invest in the DCA strategy with a long-term plan. Finally, I would say do your own research and decide.
