Basically, selling products of high quality and standard is one good way to sustain a business. Customers are very picky about the products they use. The business owner will have to give quality products at an affordable price or sell inferior products at a low price. The option to sell quality products at an affordable price is highly appreciated because that is a strategy that has worked for many businesses, even if sometimes quality products are expensive to buy.
However, a business alone cannot survive in the market for long periods through its quality goods or services at low prices. Apart from the maintenance of the quality of the product, the type of after sale service given to the buyer also matters. Like if there are two stores where the same product is sold, with one being slightly more expensive but having good after sale services, most buyers will opt for such a store.

Ofcourse, we know it's not going to be easy to know for sure or have detailed knowledge about the quality of what we sell or promote , but we can use the little we know especially as it relates to potential harm to make amend rather than giving excuses why things should remain the way they are, which most likely are for selfish reasons, such as:  I have bills to pay, I need to feed my family, I need to survive, etc. Is it OK to survive by harming, cheating, deceiving other people? What makes those who do such things different from scammers or thieves who cheat and rob others to survive?

Some products are not meant for scamming. But if any product is being sold to cheat people, then I would blame the victim rather than the individual who created the fake products online. Like this forum, we believe that people who create scams websites or products, will be caught if they do. Many people have failed to do their own research about particular things they want to buy, I just feel like they are rushing because they don’t want to miss the opportunity or something. Taking time to learn about what you want to buy is the best way to stay safe.

If anyone is creating fake products to cheat people, then what makes them different from criminals? Using your family name or your talents to scam people is not a good idea. Does the person know how those they are trying to scam make their money? They have no idea the challenges they faced before making that money. We need to consider the situations of others before doing anything that would harm them.

Selling of fake things for consumption is on the rise and they dwell more where the government of those countries don’t regulate them, when they don’t have an active body fighting against those that are doing that. Bitcoin is just a medium of payment, their could be little to none that can be done as regards to that even when bitcoin is being used to as a medium of payment for those services.

It is the work of the person wanting ti buy something that will determine more the legitimacy of what they want to buy. There are many signs that could give you a persuasive indication that the product you want to buy is genuine and not fake. People who sell fake products don’t use them, when you see them not using their own products, it indicates a strong case of a fake product. This could further reduce being scammed of a fake product.

Regulation doesn't completely stop people from marketing bad products. It does reduce it but can not eliminate it. With or without regulation, those with bad intent can still find a way to do it. Buyers have a role to play by doing due deligence before buying but I can not blame them. I mean if there is no bad product in the market in the first place, there's no need for buyers to be skeptical when buying. The blame should be on the producers that cut corners to produce substandard products. Bitcoin have no role to play in preventing this things. As long as demand and greed still exists, people will always find a way to make profit.

Snip
Basically, everyone wants their product to sell and also wants their product to be loved by many people. So, logically, if we are sellers, we obviously have to be honest about whatever we sell. Because if we lie about the product we are selling, it will definitely backfire and come back to us. That's why I think we all know this, because you have to be able to distinguish between fraudsters and also people who are selling or doing business. Because people who are basically fraudsters, even at a glance, we can already tell which direction they are going and promoting their products. Because fraudsters usually carry out their actions by luring customers with unreasonable things, such as profits, or prices that are too low for the product they are selling. So from that motive, we should know that the person is a fraud. And regarding whether we sell to deceive or not, I think most people sell honestly, because why would cheat, that is clearly very bad.

Bitcoin is not to be blame in this scenario but the regulations and those that involved in fraudulent activities are the ones slowing things down. The government agencies are not also helping matters, they're just relenting in terms of carrying out their roles, they need to do better if you ask me. On the other hand, buyers who are interesting in patronizing products should also calm down and make their own research before going ahead to buy products because there's vast numbers of fake products and nobody want to be victims or fake products. Do you know it hurts to use your hard earned money to carter for fake products?

Ofcourse, we know it's not going to be easy to know for sure or have detailed knowledge about the quality of what we sell or promote ,

Personally as a consumer, it is a green flag for me when I see a marketer or a producer making use of their particular product that they market or produce because when a marketer or producer makes use of their products, it is a strong indication that the product is genuine, as it is useful for them as well.
Black in Beauty movie, the board members knows that their hair cream causes Cancer, they never use it while the CEO advises someone never to use their products that it causes cancer-A physical business scenario.

This is true, but a digital product like Bitcoin, VPN, and others do not causes chaos only a user uses it for something illegal. A scammer buying VPN from a digital business point, you gotta blame the vendor?

It's up to the buyer what the product is used for., positive or negative.

However, for those who are desperate and need money to support their families, any sense of personal integrity might be sacrificed even if it means resorting to deception by selling poor quality goods. I understand that the OP is discussing the ideals of commerce, but the reality on the ground is that if you want your items to sell, you often have to cover up or hide their flaws. You cannot always guarantee the quality of the products especially since you aren't the manufacturer so, as a seller you end up doing whatever it takes to ensure the items sell and turn a profit.
That said, this does not mean I am condoning fraud, rather, I am discussing the realities on the ground, which do not always align with what might be considered an ideal scenario for implementation.

Well to me it all comes down to human nature nothing else. It's like telling me you bought a product worth 1 million using your entire capital, and then you later found out that what you bought wasn't really the original, but it would be hard for regular folks / customers to know. Wouldn't you sell it or you will just dump it and allow your entire capital to waste? Though there is another option, which is returning the product instead which means it all comes down to where you purchase your items from as a businessman or woman. So yeah, going with what you said, the person will certainly lose customers if they decide to do something like that and it could cost them their business reputation, and if it becomes something harmful to the body they will be prosecuted for it.That said when it comes to Bitcoin, I think stuff like that might end up making it less decentralized because there would have to be someone in charge of it ,that way every payment has to go through that person first. Though it's might sound less risky but it certainly way more risky then you can imagine so yeah that's all...

A decentralized, evidence-based reputation system sounds great on paper, until you remember how easily humans game things. People already buy and sell accounts and fake Trust ratings on this very board.

Math fixes the money, but it doesn't fix human nature.

We really are a kind of a "learning from mistakes species". Eventually the system gets improved because nobody likes getting gamed. Statistics are useful for identifying the problem but not the solution as you said. We cannot really know what will work until we try it for a trial run. I try to be more optimistic even though I do want to agree with you. People game each other and that is human nature...

What makes those who do such things different from scammers or thieves who cheat and rob others to survive?

This has becomes necessary at this time Bitcoiners are working hard to further develop/grow a circular economy where products/services will be exchanged or swapped for bitcoins. There probably won't be government in charge to regulate things, but we could ensure a high degree of quality by including features like evidence-based reputation system, evidence-based product reviews, trustlessness to check and balance one another otherwise very few things will be safe for consumption.
We can never know if something is really issue-free. First, they created a term for an issue, which is AML, then gave it so much importance and made a big fuss about it. Then new AML checkers came into being, other than the ones that authorities use. These are open and less powerful (probably).

Now, brother, I have a query for you. How exactly do we measure the quality of a product? Let's say milk. Someone I knew used to sell it. He said whenever he sold the purest form of milk without adding any water, the milk would never sell. They don't buy it because of its thickness and taste. Now imagine you created synthetic milk that passed every regulatory check that the authorities carry out. Is that milk/exchange/AML score haha fine? Like, is its quality good?

Now let's say the quality of real milk is pure, but those regulators and authorities check its quality by putting their meters in it and saying the quality is bad. Now what? Whom are we really trusting? So we can't trust a reputation-based system. We can only trust evidence-based systems, and by evidence, I mean real evidence, not pictures or results from these authorities saying, "Check here, this is the evidence that the milk/exchange's coins are of bad quality."

Promoting fake products for the sake of survival or selfish reasons is absolutely very bad, I know that some of these people that do this may not be aware as they might only be hired to promote, and sell their products. There are times when certain products will be sold to you even with a very high price, but the product will end up being a substandard one after buying with good amount of money. However it is important that every company promoting any product should be properly licensed, and products should be monitored for quality control, and with this measures promoting fake products will be highly minimized.

It is rampant and happens in every country, there are people who are willing to cheat others just for them to get that sale and profit. Start it out with products that are luxury and expensive and yet, people are buying and paying for the premium one. And the problem starts with those sellers who are fooling the poor buyers and telling they have the genuine copy even it is a fake one. With social media bragging's popularity which has become a norm, socialites who are trying to impress others are choosing that but they're prone to these type of scams.
