Ofcourse, we know it's not going to be easy to know for sure or have detailed knowledge about the quality of what we sell or promote , but we can use the little we know especially as it relates to potential harm to make amend rather than giving excuses why things should remain the way they are, which most likely are for selfish reasons, such as: I have bills to pay, I need to feed my family, I need to survive, etc. Is it OK to survive by harming, cheating, deceiving other people? What makes those who do such things different from scammers or thieves who cheat and rob others to survive?
You think like those who have integrity, but I tell you my brother, over 95% of people doesn't have it, and I tell you for free again that they are after the money and not the safety of the consumer. Although they are in categories, and those products or services that will not cause an immediate harm to you, or the harm the advertisers/influencers do not know about are the commonest. Can you blame them entirely? I doubt that because both the buyers and sellers have a shared blame in that.
Some are also out of control of the marketers, but a choice, and a good example is gambling. You are responsible for it, so long as you are an adult, it's fine. Now, the cruelty starts when you know that the product/service is bad/evil/harmful, but still advertised it for the monetary gain. That shows the marketer himself is evil.
