This is not a screenplay - these are the facts, which could detemine the whole narative sooner then most think.

🚩 6,900,000 BTC (1/3 of total cap) keys are publicly visible on-chain for 17 years, some using P2PK with nothing hides the lock, and can't be moved to safety.

🚩 Attacker clocks are ticking fast with high edge AI modles exposing vonrubilities in minutes without any knowlegede required (instead of days only by top experts), and quantom computing advances rapidly, threshold to break the signature (remember this mark): roughly 1,200 logical qubits. QuEra has already run Shor's algorithm on logical qubits.

🚩 The first minute will look like nothing, i.e. yesterday - twelve wallets from Mar-2010 woke after sixteen years, 1 BTC moved first - a test, then 600 more - a quantum harvest would begin with similar transaction.

🚩 BTC defence clock on the other hand is stuck: BIP-360 was merged in last February but not yet activated, BIP-361 is informative only without a date not vote. Defenders earliest shield overlap with attackers earliest window by five years - the attackers side with the hardware gets rapidly accelerated by AI while the defenders side that needs consensus does not.

🚩 3,000,000,000 USD a year are stolen today, mostly by human engeeniring, not math - Bybit lost 1,500,000,000 via interface hack and models now scan code for the kind of entropy flaw that already exposed millions of keys twice. At 3-5x theft rate, stolen BTC supply match minning supply - "harder than gold" theory at risk of dying years before any qubit is involved.

I concur.
Same old FUD routinely spewed here by newbs who spent too much time browsing without truly understanding what they've 'learned' nor getting the full context of it.  Roll Eyes

Agree, while a full scale hack is not possible today, the combination of two technologies you mentioned is accelerating risks faster than researchers previously anticipated. But, developers are actively designing quantum resistant upgrades. The leading proposal, BIP-360, aims to implement new quantum proof signature tools and hide public keys entirely from quantum visibility.

We should be careful about what we post so that we don't end up constituting fud India minds of order investors, as this will make no difference to what random people are saying about the Bitcoin network and how you have believed the network to be subjective under AI or quantum attack. You should not talk much about the vulnerabilities because this can only come from us, not from the Bitcoin network.

the title of this topic is somewhat missleading because I don't see any "collapse" for btc.
most of these facts are already well known (likewise public key exposed). at this point the problem would be even for ALL addresses that would try to make a transaction - mempool. this would the real issue.

for the rest has not changed nothing. there is always a "competition" for your coins...don't take single events has something that we really to be worried, the 600 btc moved doesn't mean anything in this topic. it's just a transaction thats all Wink

Yay! I'm scared. I should probably sell off my BTC since the great collapse is impending. The thing with all these newbies is that they prefer to gain attention for the wrong or funny reasons. I appreciate the warning op, but I think I'd pass, thank you very much.

The first line was pretty funny because of its paradox. It says "public keys are publicly visible so they are at risk". What did you expect buddy? In public key cryptography, the public key has to be public by design otherwise it won't work.

I think you should have bought bitcoin when it was stuck in the $60k range in an accumulation phase and you should avoid shorting it in the future too. It almost never crash the way you hope for.

The technical term, Public key, says a lot, as such keys must be public, it's very simple to understand.

The market never rises in a way we hope as our taking profit target.

The market never crashes deeply to a price we wait for but it's not only this. People also do another bad practice, for example 1 year ago they hoped for price at $60,000 to buy but several months ago, with price around $60,000 they did not buy but actually changed their plans and move their target price to lower like $50,000 or $40,000.

Very possibly if price crashes to $50k or $40k, they will wait at other prices about -15% or -20% below.

By moving down their price target again and again, they will never feel confident enough to buy.

I read the topic title and thought it was going to contain some information that are unknown to many of us but unfortunately, it's almost everything we've been reading about quantum computing and it's related threats. This topic is geared towards creating FUD than discussing about the future risks of quantum computing. Few exposed old addresses doesn't automatically mean that BTC is about to collapse. We know that Technology changes and we also know that Bitcoin can change with it if developers have enough time to prepare.

If one wishes, it is possible to compromise an individual or an exchange in various ways; however, a mathematical algorithm can only be cracked via brute force—a method that is currently prohibitively expensive and could yield zero profit. If you think it’s that easy, then go ahead and claim that money. Any asset will eventually be worth zero, but we do not know when that will happen.

There's no way this shit was not written by ai with a little touch of humanizer and intentionally wrong spellings to avoid detection. Well, this your first post so I'll advice you avoid using ai if you want to survive here.

The quantum hype is unnecessary. Paper work and reality is never the same. Let quantum computer keep winning in theory while bitcoin continue thriving in reality. Until there is an evidence of a practical quantum computers capable of displaying the attributes that endangers bitcoin, there should be no cause for alarm.

You know, when I was a newbie, I mostly focused on the bad news and kept thinking BTC was going to collapse for one reason or another. But my mindset has completely changed now that I’ve learned more about Bitcoin.

I definitely recommend learning more about it too.

The Internet is like a free world where every one is free to post what ever they think or what ever their opinion is concerning any thing or asset.
As an investor yourself, it is solely your responsibility to know what to believe and what not to believe. If you believe nonsense and allow such to determine or interfere in your decision making, what ever the out come becomes is also your responsibility, you can't even hold the poster accountable because he or she didn't force you to believe him or her.

So this is something I think every investors should take note of, and also very important is for us to arm ourselves with knowledge, so we always know what (on the Internet) to believe and what not to, when you have good knowledge in a subject, no one will deceive or cheat you in that subject.

Your mindset changed because you were never one of those sadists. The only things they are focused on and want to see are bad news relating to the bitcoin collapse, the government banning bitcoin and whatever that will paint bitcoin red, no matter the amount of information you give them access to they will always be reading from the back side of the book, but those who where misinformed during their early stage are the once which are subject to quick change on how they negatively view bitcoin

The title of the Op is first discouraging with a caption that can create false Fud on the bitcoin network and can manipulate enthusiasts from using or investing in bitcoin.
The fact that the implementation of bitcoin is made an open source doesn't necessarily mean that the network can be broken just because the source code is made private.
The case of the quantum computer being a threat to break the bitcoin protocol is still a speculation and the bitcoin core isn't that vulnerable for an entity to deliberately lay an enforcement of changing the system just because it's made an open source.
As for the moved bitcoin, I don't know how it had got something to do about the collapsed of bitcoin other wise, the decentralization of the bitcoin network remains a resistance to be regulated. Not even when the bitcoin core is made and open source.

Sometimes you may have something to say but use the wrong title for it, and that way you portray an entirely different image of your view.

I don't like how it sounds about saying bitcoin collapse because we all know how secure the network is with blockchain technology and how Bitcoin has always been consistent over time. We should be careful not to create a wrong impression in other people's minds with what we may be saying regarding Bitcoin when trying to express what the possible market performance or expectation is in the future.

So OP your main purpose of coming on here and creating a new account is to drop this FUD? What are you expecting by passing this on here? People should start selling their Bitcoin? Like I don't get it.

If you feel like you have some powerful AI that can steal Bitcoin then proceed, we don't need this FUD on here, I'm open to you stealing my Bitcoin and good luck with that, spend my Bitcoin I give you the call, just go ahead.

The entropy issue and the Bybit getting hacked doesn't call for Bitcoin to collapse, it's not the first time that something like that happened and it's probably not going to be the last, people who can't take responsibility will have to learn the hard way.

Daily FUD with some technical nonsense is back.

🚩 6,900,000 BTC (1/3 of total cap) keys are publicly visible on-chain for 17 years, some using P2PK with nothing hides the lock, and can't be moved to safety.

Public key isn't lock and people could move such Bitcoin to address type without exposed public key.

BIP-360 was merged in last February but not yet activated

BIP 360 status is still in draft. It's not merged in way you try to emphasize.

At first:
I thought so according to his post because being a newbie and making such a comment means that he is advising to sell Bitcoin and recover from the loss.
