Any idea where I can find more information on this "Blake2B"? The name is too generic with too many similar names. I'd like to find a block explorer or even Electrum clone (for instance to see if a replay occurs or not).
The price is up again, so selling becomes more interesting.

This is their Bitcoin.org copycat:

https://bitcoin-blake2b.org

And this is their mempool.space copycat:

https://mempool.guide

Basically they are forking all popular Bitcoin software to modify the version to work with B2B instead of BTC.

Btw they are using ticker XBT which is quite silly but the whole project should die slowly anyway so it should not be too big of a problem.

Information such as what? The no-KYC exchange that has listed it is in here: https://neoxa.exchange/trade/BTCB2_BTC.

I should create a guide on how to sell the BTCB2 coins, because it's a bit tricky. I sold mine, but when I tried to move my BTC to a brand new address, they were replayed on the Knots chain, so it's not as simple as just "moving your BTC once". An easy way to do it is to simply join a Wasabi Wallet coinjoin, and your coins will most certainly gain replay protection, because at least one input from the coinjoin has gained replay protection.

I used Shrike (a Sparrow fork). I don't think there's an Electrum fork.

Someone wrote a utility to do it. https://github.com/smolcars/bcashjr-wallet
No idea if it's trustworthy or not but as of now nobody has been screaming that their coins have been stolen.

The other option is you use the knots client and I send you some blake coins to an address you PM me and you create a TX with them so it would not be replayed on the real BTC notwork.

I don't want to coinjoin my Bitcoin, that'll only raise questions in the future. I was thinking of getting some dust that doesn't exist on the Fork chain, probably from an exchange.

Thanks, I'll look into this.

I always make sure to move my Bitcoin to safety before I enter any keys in a Forkcoin wallet.

Won't they also gain the nonsense that centralized entities refer to as "taint"?

Knots, bip110, blake , blake2b, they are all the same they still don't want to stick to one name because they claim to be the real Bitcoin!

I don't want to coinjoin my Bitcoin, that'll only raise questions in the future. I was thinking of getting some dust that doesn't exist on the Fork chain, probably from an exchange.

That was my concern before, not sure why I would taint my coins and why I would even pull them for cold storage at all to do this again for a couple hundred dollars, risking a lot in terms of security. So you have two choices
- either spend once your Bitcoins from one wallet to another still in your control in a way that is not allowed on their blockchain
- get some unspendable change but be careful with exchanges, some pull coins out of dormant cold wallets, and their tx are sometimes still broadcasted over knots

Knots chain, Lukecoin and BTCB2 are all the same.

You can do that. You can also just coinjoin 20k sats, and consolidate them along with your BTC, so they all gain replay protection without "raising questions".

An easy way to do it is to simply join a Wasabi Wallet coinjoin, and your coins will most certainly gain replay protection, because at least one input from the coinjoin has gained replay protection.

If you're buying this moronic notion that I had never any troubles with, you can just do what I told Loyce above. Just pass a tiny nearly dust amount into a coinjoin and use that in one transaction with your other BTC. If you're still afraid they might flag you for being a terrorist, you can just move your BTC in a transaction with an OP_RETURN message with more than 83 bytes.  (That's invalid on Knots chain.)

Luckily for us, our KYC/AML'ed centralized exchanges don't subscribe to the bullcrap called taint that other CEXes use to steal their users' money... yet. Cheesy

In any case the OP_RETURN approach is the best in my opinion, the only problem I have now is writing the code to sign txs, connect to a Luke-node and push the tx for me. The current price after the pump is starting to become tempting enough for me to waste that time.

That's why I recommend Wasabi. You just move $10 worth of BTC, you coinjoin, and then just consolidate. Alternatively, Electrum is one good option for OP_RETURN.

Absolutely. When I saw that it reached 0.01 BTC, I stopped being lazy, because you never know when these shitcoins go to zero.

BTW, there may be another hard fork in 3 weeks by Paul Sztorc: https://www.kucoin.com/news/flash/ecx-hard-fork-delayed-to-three-phase-launch-final-version-set-for-october-31. At least this is not claimed to be the real Bitcoin.  Cheesy
