No cycle is the same as past cycles and there are many differences from driving factors to how the market moves in each cycle. Differences can be in times and in prices from bottom to all time high and when these prices are reached.

Realistically, with time, Bitcoin market will become more matured, and bigger in market cap and trading volume, so its price will become less volatile. It will have smaller corrections from all time highs to bottoms, and smaller ROIs from a bottom to a new all time high between two cycles or from all time high to all time high of two consecutive cycles.

Past cycles are for references with some helpful information but never decide what will happen in a next market cycle.

But bitcoin price fell in 2022 from $69000 to $15500 before the end of 2022. It increased from $15500 December 2022 to $126000in in 2025. Bitcoin price may not added much to you, but do you also know that the lowest volatility was in this period which was only slightly more than 50%. Many people like less volatile assets that retain a store of value.

This is the reasons why DCA is really your friend especially in how Bitcoin prices move recently and if you are believer long term.
The drawdowns are the real story, not just the ATH numbers. I already lived through those 80%+ dumps before, so this ~37% off the top still feel milder compare to old cycles, but yeah past cycles are only reference, not a copy paste for next one. I just keep DCA and hold long term, because timing every cycle perfectly is hard for me.

On the contrary, Bitcoin as we go along, is going to be less volatile as it's previous cycles. So we might not see a bottom price of 90% from its all time high. However, I don't think that we might seen the lowest low in this bear market.

Sooner or later, or maybe before the end of the year, the price will go on a skid to $50k and that could be the bottom. But it's really hard to see what's going to happen, there were even some school of thoughts that we might be in a supercycle.

That's true, and more reason why Bitcoin is now becoming discouraging to people, especially the new ones and those who missed the initial opportunities to accumulate and gain so much wealth from it.

Today, it feels like a scrap, but the patient ones would still gain tangibly from it, especially if they can be smart about it and not think that holding their Bitcoin forever is the only way to invest in it. Bitcoin of today is now so large in price, and by virtue, expensive, which makes the old insane insane appreciation in price not to be feasible again.

I will always say it, "the law of diminishing returns" is real, and Bitcoin is certainly not immune to it.

Of course we should not also leave untouched in talk about how Bitcoin price flows in the case that market price volatilities sticks to two phases of up and down trends. And as so on, price interchanges unstable while the driving forces of volatilities determine which trend it flows at its unpredictable timelines.

While beginners should be made notable, the 4 years cycle is not a profiled to be traditional but it seems it had been adopted to keep repeatedly since the market had also been following the 4 pattern since the inception Bitcoin began to be traded which also gives Speculators the undoubted moments of seeing another ATH in the year 2028 after the 2025 bullish event.

Anyway, what you say is the truth. The only problem is that it feels like an attack on Bitcoin. You mentioned the all-time high and how much percentage it lost over the last year. But didn't even mention how it grew from cents to tens of thousands of dollars.

Imagine explaining that to a new investor. Will it really be a negative effect to him, or will it be a positive? Because as I read it, it's an opportunity to make big money in a short span of time. 15 years, with what percentage gain? Can you even gain that much investing in a bank? Savings?

Actually I read the Op and tried understanding what he meant by all that but I've very little clues of what he's saying. I think the nature of his post is why you suddenly point out about his new being here because the contexts of the post seem to lack proper constructions for easy understanding of the information he's trying to pass.
Maybe you know better that's why you could figure that there're constructive posts that details better than this one.
If I may ask, are we really talking about bitcoin volatility here or what? Although I understand that talking relatively to historical performance and the future outputs of bitcoin prices and Ath may involve volatility.
Op better need to do more readings to acquire some good experience in the forum before opening relative discussions like he's passing the community information. Instead, posts that has to do with questions that should encourage his learning should be expected.

You don't have to throw all the blame to the OP because this kind situation do happened most times within the forum, due to the majority of the newbies lack proper channels of communication on how to go about the forum and i sensing that OP might be aware of some kind things about Bitcoin price and he just created the thread to see people reaction and to add up to his own idea or ways of reasoning, so think he is doing things right because most times a newbie will just create a thread, the reason behind the creation of such a thread, is for him to gain more knowledge from what people has told him before now and those reply people drop under the thread, will make him learn more things and understand as well, so it might be that he understands fast when he peruse through forum, so i think we should all will encourage a newbie when we see one, in order for him to learn more.

It didn't age well isn't it, because at the start of this week, Bitcoin surge on to $85k-$86k. Although it looks like we have encountered a resistance already. As for the drawdown from it's peak, it's becoming less volatile I guess.

So we might have seen the lowest low in this bear market at $57k already. And if that is correct, then there will be no massive or one leg down before the start of the bull run. Doesn't matter if there will be some news that seems to be negative. The market has matured enough not to be swayed by this kind of news.

Yes, its volatility gets lesser as time passes by and when new cycles get in.

So we might have seen the lowest low in this bear market at $57k already. And if that is correct, then there will be no massive or one leg down before the start of the bull run. Doesn't matter if there will be some news that seems to be negative. The market has matured enough not to be swayed by this kind of news.

I think that if a negative news is there, there will be a bit of pull back but it won't be as big as the last bear markets that we've been.

October is drawing nigh and the last quarter is about to kick in, we might still see a lot of things happening until the last day of December.
