I think Hunter Biden knew his memecoin is going to crash heavily and he came up with an idea that will protect him from facing backlash from the people that invested in his memecoin, which is, he don't want anybody to buy his coin. Hunter Biden should know that we aren't kids we knew the game he played. Almost everyone investing in memecoin knows that it is a 50-50 chance to make profit from memecoins, so even if Hunter Biden didn't add a disclaimer before launching his memecoin I don't think he should be held responsible for anyone who invested in $LAPTOP and lost his or her money.
He knew that the project was going to crash, he wanted to protect his reputation by making the statement so that no one will hold him responsible for the crash. But should he even be the one to blame? I think every other person that is into crypto know how risky it is to invest in meme coins particularly now that the crypto market is not stable, they should have themselves to be blamed for not making research before investing; if they would have made profit from the investment, no one will here from them, and they will hype the project and claim they have made the right choice in their investment.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/hunter-biden-s-laptop/

According to Coinmarketcap's charts, the coin has reached 222$ (with a market cap of 77B  Cheesy) before crashing to 1.20$ in the span of a couple of hours.

You would think that by now, people have already learned to not trust memecoins, especially ones launched by known people.
This is fucking unbelievable to see a project that worth 77 billion dollars to crash to the deepest level undoubtedly.
I have always warn my friends to use their head when investing in memecoins. Memecoins has no respect and in a second, everything can go to zero. There will be lot of people that will loss their entire investments after they may be thinking of waiting a little longer before they will take profit. Cryptocurrency is for those people that have the mind to invest, emotional people have to stay away from the crypto market if they don't want to be traumatized in the saddest manner.

The price of any meme token tends toward zero. I wrote this many years ago while researching the first projects of this kind.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5274841
While major buyers of the Trump token might have secured at least a meeting with the U.S. President, buyers of meme tokens will end up with nothing but losses. After Trump's presidential term ends, his scam token will also go under. Smiley

Let's not forget about Trump's other project, World Liberty Financial. It will also fail once his term ends, even though it's not really a "meme" coin. I wouldn't say that "any meme token tends towards zero", because Dogecoin is still worth a few cents (USD). It's the only "meme" coin that will stand the test of time (due to being the oldest one ever created). We now have nearly every "meme" coin you can imagine. If you manage to buy low and sell high once it skyrockets, you'd be in luck. The thing is that most "memes" are built on top of existing blockchain networks. They don't have their own, independent blockchain network. You can see the amount of effort developers are putting on "meme" coins these days. It's virtually none.

What's next? A "meme" coin about Gavin Newsom? You can bet fools will be lining up to buy it after launch. I'd stay with BTC and serious altcoins than something that's pure gamble.

Exactly. Never trust anyone who endorses a meme token. As always, meme tokens carry extremely high risk—regardless of who is associated with them. People really should have learned this lesson by now. Even $Trump didn't last in the long run. Moreover this token. But the crash here is absolutely brutal.

What's next? A "meme" coin about Gavin Newsom? You can bet fools will be lining up to buy it after launch. I'd stay with BTC and serious altcoins than something that's pure gamble.
I am certain that if they launch another meme coin, plenty of people will still buy it. They will undoubtedly be hoping for huge profits and looking to cash in quickly. But who knows? We have no idea if the coin will even last a single day. Yet, unfortunately, no matter how often we talk about the need for caution regarding meme coins, there will still be a steady stream of victims.

For people with even a modicum of influence, meme coins are a real goldmine, since there will always be plenty of people in the market driven by greed, FOMO, and the desire to make a quick profit. In this case, the result for most people is entirely to be expected: investing in meme coins always ends the same way, with a loss of their investment.

It always takes some time for price discovery to happen, so of course it’s going to crash 99% if you’re using the price in the moments after launch as a benchmark. The token still had enough demand to keep its market cap above $100 million, which is impressive nonetheless. That being said, this is going to follow the same trajectory as TRUMP and MELANIA, which is down only.

But I think it's very difficult to go back, they have taken advantage of this rugpull project, a drop of more than -95% it always ends in a bad story, the issue of coins with events like this most of the supply is owned by a handful of people, in fact they also gave it to Wintermute and it has been sold 466,255 coin at an average price of $4.7 and with a profit of approximately $2m, I think on Trump coins it is much better and we feel the process although the same is moving quickly, but at least not immediately into worthless Ashes. lol

The mcap is still fairly large but what is the power? is there someone who thinks "it's time to buy" when it has already experienced such a crazy decline.

Maybe their team is still learning.  Grin
Their mistake is trusting the wrong market makers, both Wintermute and GSR failed inexplicably to seed the pool at the beginning of launch which caused the price to go up very high and dumped not too long after. From the news that are revolving around, GSR received 15 million tokens and at launch day, the pool wasn't seeded properly, Hunter Biden said market maker only seeded with $5000 from this source, 3 market maker and all of them dumping the tokens.

It isn't surprising that the $LAPTOP token crashed 99% not long after and right now only have $46 million market cap left, from valued above blackrock to lesser than solana shitcoins. Another meme coin from well known person another rugpull.

The answer is either it was a mistake, stupidity or indeed on purpose, we do not know what kind of background, are you sure what they reveal to the public?
Actually aya still feel doubt with it all, although it must accept that it's all the mechanism like that makes them fail.

Let's be honest this is good for the market, where well-known figures will not always be the center of community hype control, with many of these disappointments that we have received should be a learning and awareness for the community about what kind of background to believe in this industry, so as not to be easily lulled by the interests of such figures.
