~snip~ I mean that would be somewhat ok if it was a physical card, but for a virtual card this is a nonsensical fee.
Are you looking for reliability and quality or cheap things that disappear before you actually start using them? Why do you think someone would give you a physical NO KYC card for $60 a year? $5 might buy me a beer, but obviously that's an amount that means a lot somewhere. The one my reply was about is a virtual card. $5 a month is awfully high price for a virtual card. Speaking of reliability, I think it's a new service so cannot really say how reliable it is. Four years ago I had a virtual card issued (no kyc). It cost me $20 upfront and 0 monthly or yearly fees. It was good but I stopped using it just because didn't need it. I just checked it: it expires in 13 days, had a few bucks on there. Decided to donate them to the VLC player app' devs - still works perfectly. So no, the reliability doesn't necessarily come with a high price.

Obviously no one will bother to check what it is, it's not a new service because it's been around for about a year. In addition, with this card, money can be withdrawn from ATMs if they support NFC payments. $5 is considered cheap for most people in developed countries, but some will rather buy a virtual card that is "free" and then pay a top-up of 5%+ and of course a 2-3% FX fee. However, everyone has the right to choose, there are dozens (if not hundreds) of virtual cards that can be topped up with cryptocurrencies and which are also promoted as being KYC-free.

Those are pretty high fees and top up requirements, there's alot of services out there with only a 1% top up fee and no minimum required top up amount.

The situation was different four years ago as there were more no KYC options available. There is more regulation now, which makes it harder to provide such services and usually means higher costs. Btw, could you share the name of that no KYC card that is still working after four years? I am genuinely asking, as I've been on the lookout for a reliable and affordable way to spend crypto for quite some time.

You have a link for the no-KYC card with the low fees?

Of course, it's BitFree, I wrote about it in here already ( https://www.bitfree.us/) Though the website now claims they require KYC and AML checks for everything, I can still issue a new card in the app (mine expires this month) and they still don't ask me for any KYC so I don't know what to say here. Guess it's worth to download the app and check. Currently the cheapest virtual card is showing at $15 issuance fee.

In my signature you have two solutions, both tested by me for some time, whether you need cash or want to pay online/POS, I don't think there's anything better at the moment. Of course, it all comes down to whether you want to pay for premium service and take the risk that the same services may stop providing service at any time in the future. Maybe I'll open my own topic and write something about the experience for those who are more interested.

Tbh, not gonna bother with it since it explicitly says on their website that KYC/AML is needed. I know about Freedomia, we talked about it in the past and I am actually quite close to trying it now that Shitcoins Club ATMs stopped working in Croatia few months ago due regulations and I believe they will have mandatory KYC when/if they come back. Maybe I'll open my own topic and write something about the experience for those who are more interested.
Not a bad idea, as I would like to hear more about the other card as well.

But I can also imagine the website just being a facade in order to avoid unnecessary attention... (yeah, they always seemed *that* shady, although they flawlessly operate for 5+ years so idk). Anyway, I decided to contact the support to ask if what they promised 4 years ago when I paid $20 to issue my virtual card (lifetime service, renewal of the card for free every time) still stands. If so, they will issue a new virtual card for me for free + we will see if they ask me to KYC this time. I will report in here later. UPD: I contacted the support (it operates via Telegram) and about an hour later received a laconic reply "new card issued". Wasn't asked for KYC or a payment, just like that.

Not a bad idea, as I would like to hear more about the other card as well. The second card is the right thing for those who need cash, and it also comes with a separate virtual card so everything is covered. On the other hand, such a service is not exactly cheap, but for me personally, it is not too expensive considering what you get. There has been a member selling no-kyc cards on the forum for years, and I think they now cost around 1350 EUR for one year, which is extremely expensive.

Dunno, it doesn't make much sense to me to openly claim that KYC is mandatory and then not actually enforce it. That way, people who are interested in noKYC cards wouldn't even bother trying them. I don't see any Telegram contact listed on their website, only email. Imo, its not too expensive as long as you use it on the regular basis. But if you need noKYC card to pay something $10 once or twice per month, then maybe its not worth it.

My theory is that over the many years they've been operating they accumulated enough clients and now simply live off of their fees. Perhaps at this point scaling the business would bring more problems and unnecessary attention from the regulators. I don't see any Telegram contact listed on their website, only email.
In the mobile app when you click the "help" icon it automatically opens a telegram chat with a support agent. I don't know what happens when one doesn't have Telegram app on their phone though, maybe they suggest another way.

Exactly, for some it simply doesn't make sense to pay $60 for a virtual card and then use it very rarely, for me it's super convenient, especially if everything works and the support is excellent whenever something goes wrong. By the way, all those services that have/don't have KYC have always been completely unacceptable to me - it's similar to online casinos that let you make a deposit and lose money as much as you want, and when you win something and request a withdrawal, they immediately ask for KYC.

I’ve been using Nocturne for a while and so far my experience has been good. I was looking for a no-KYC crypto card that was easy to use and it has worked well for my needs. Of course, it’s always worth checking the fees and supported countries before signing up, but it might be worth looking into if you’re searching for an alternative.

no KYC or optional KYC? i found this on their website. AML screening and sanctioned funds
--snip--
A transfer flagged by screening may be held while the originator is asked to complete verification with the processor. Held funds are not credited until screening clears.
A held transfer cannot be returned while verification is pending: reversal toward the sending address becomes possible only once the processor’s review concludes. This applies solely to transfers flagged as high-risk or tainted; ordinary payments are never held.
If verification is declined or fails, the transfer may be returned toward the sending address per the processor’s policy (network fees may be deducted), or otherwise handled as required by law. Where a credit was already issued for such a transfer, we may reverse it.

The lists are not right. Some have full, some a light version of KYC. Remember before KYC you have to do a KYC, know who you forward sensitive data to, its law
Now the KYC free cards have been placed on BitMixList ( bitmixlist.org/cards) and it only shows the cards with no KYC by default. Also the V2 cards table already has a revised draft on my machine, I hope to upload it today as it is a series of BBcode tables, but it will probably be V3 after this.

Is making that comparison right though? I mean using card that doesn't belong to your name is probably illegal and the issuer has the ability to take it down anytime, unlike when bank close your account without prior notice. At the very least the public will probably support your case if the second one happens. Makes me remember some bailouts in my country too. Anyway, getting one in my region still feels difficult. Especially if we're looking for a physical card. Using a card that is not your own amounts to illigality, so i think that if someone is trying to sell a card that has been issued to him back, to others the best thing to do is to shut it down. Because because it not morally.

So your say it is illegal to use cash as it does not belong to you. Quadzillion company cards in use and how many wifes have used the husbands card?
