Isaac "Pitbull" Cruz will defend his title against Nestor Bravo this weekend, September 19.
This would be an exciting fight as we all knew Pitbull who is always aggressive in his all fights.
I'll be watching this because there is a chance that if Pitbull will win this one, he could have a shot at Ryan Garcia as the latter was saying in one of his interviews that he love to be back in the ring this December or January against Pitbull Cruz.

As for the odds, Pitbull is the heavy favorite of this matchup.

So this weekend already? How come we miss this fight? Although there are really a lot of good fights in August and September that we might have forgotten about it. In any case, Pitbull Cruz is the outstanding favorite so this could be an easy fight for him and might scored a knockout as we all know the style of Pitbull. Just go and pure aggressiveness and all out offense.

I'm just surprised though that Cruz is defending his interim WBC title. Why not go against Dalton Smith, the regular champion in WBC?

It looks to me this should be a very entertaining matchup. Pitbull Cruz is known for bringing nonstop pressure and aggression, so Bravo will have his hands full if Cruz is able to dictate the pace.

I’m also interested in what this fight could mean for Cruz’s next move. If he gets the win, a potential matchup with Ryan Garcia would definitely be something most fans would like to watch, me inclusive. Garcia vs. Pitbull would have plenty of storylines and fireworks, especially given their history.

The match will be very interesting but my problem with it is that Isaac Cruz odd is too small which is just 1.15 on the gambling site that OP took the odd from. This is the reason I prefer matches that the two fighters will be good fighters that their odds will be close to or more 2. I do not think I can bet on such small odd.

That means he is the overwhelming odds favorite base on boxing punters. And it's easy because he is the champion and he had a lot of experience, big puncher as compare to Nestor Bravo who is not even rank in the top 10, but number 83.

So this is just obvious a get busy fight for Pitbull. But as far as a Ryan Garcia rematch, I don't think we might see it for now. Ryan is too busy with so many fights in the line like Teo Lopez or Haney.

Pitbull might be good to fight Shakur as they are both in the 140 lbs, and champions.

Nestor Bravo is what would be considered a no-hoper, which is why the odds are so lopsided. Dalton Smith is the current WBC Champion, although we know Shakur is the top guy in the division. He would still be champion if it wasn’t for having a dispute with the WBC. Cruz and Smith might be paper champions but I would still like to see them meet each other to see who is better and reduce the amount of titles.

Cruz should beat Bravo fairly convincingly, even if he is one dimensional and hasn’t looked that great since beating Rolly.

This more like a promotional fight for Bravo. This why how i dislike PBC who is not even searching an elite name for their fighter to fight, but they only focus on how to make the fighters under them get more popularity. Bravo and Pitbull is under the same promoter (PBC). IYKWIM.

Despite height advantage of Nestor, it might not be enough to stop the Pitbull from landing heavy body shots on him as we have seen with elite boxers like Mike Tyson beating down those taller than him. So height advantage is practically useless without technique or aggression and that's why Pitbull is the better favorite here.

After that Valenzuela loss, Pitbull bounces back with 2 wins and a draw against Lamont Roach so i think he is back on the groove and already got the confidence that a fighter needed in a fight. Watching videos of opponent to study his moves is one thing and facing him in the ring come fight night is another and it would be a different scenario but it helps a little though but not entirely.

I would like Pitbull to win this one but via decision so i'm placing a bet on him on that option.

In an interview he said he is not minding right now the callout of Garcia to fight him as he is focused on his fight this weekend and will talk things later when the fight is done and him being the winner.

You can try and make the risk on how long the fight will goes or how Pitbull will win (TKO/KO or decision), and I agree with you that the 1.15 odds isn't that attractive. I don't want to put any bet on these kind of bets as well.

The odds shows just how one-sided of a match this will be, and TBH this is a good warm-up for Cruz for possibly a title fight against whoever he want to face. Maybe he'll try to get that WBC super lightweight title against Dalton Smith, or maybe he'll go up in Welterweight where he could face the best of the best on that division.

It depends on what weight class they will meet at. Pitbull might not win, but I don't think he will get knocked out easily because he is very durable. The problem is he is not really a technical boxer, so if Garcia can control the distance and avoid getting dragged into a brawl, I don't see how Pitbull can win.

Still, I would definitely watch that fight. It has the potential to be another big one, almost like David vs Goliath in terms of style and physical advantage.

If you are heavy handed, there's always that chance of landing that one punch that could turn the fight around in Pitbull's favor but that would defend on the situation if Ryan Garcia would be careless. Let us remember that Pitbull Cruz has defeated Rolly Romero via technical knockout while Rolly Romero defeated Ryan Garcia. I hate to compare but i just say that Pitbull has this puncher's chance of defeating Garcia.

On the idea if Pitbull will accept the challenge, i think if the money is right then this will be a go. In boxing money talks and this could be the biggest purse that Pitbull will receive in his career.

I will probably just wait for the update or the result of this fight. Regardless, I think it will be a win by Pitbull, it a question on how it will end. For a rematch for Garcia, yes, why not, if the money is right then Cruz can have it.

The only problem is that Ryan has so many names to fight with, and so with that Pitbull will have to fall in line.

I don't think there's a rematch because they haven't fought each other yet. I double-checked Pitbull's record on BoxRec and I didn't see Ryan Garcia listed as one of his previous opponents. His 3 losses were against Jose Valenzuela, Gervonta Davis, and Luis Montano Alvarez. He currently has a record of 28 wins and 3 losses.

Sometimes a fighter can surprise us, and if that happens it could ruin Cruz's plan to fight Ryan Garcia. Hopefully it won't happen because that would also ruin the matchup many of us are already expecting to see.
