I'm waiting for XRP to finally explode. Trading it is getting easy: Bitcoin drops 1%, it drops 10%; Bitcoin rises 1%, XRP rises 10%. It's become quite predictable...

It is worth distinguishing three concepts that often get conflated in news reports: the XRP Ledger is the blockchain network; XRP is the network's native asset; and Ripple is a private company that builds products on the network and holds a large portion of the XRP supply, but does not own the protocol.

Do you have any strategy or expectations regarding it? I’d like to know.

Here is more information about it: https://criptoview.net/en/xrp-origem-evolucao-futuro/

This is no more true. Bitcoin and XRP are rising and falling in a way ripple only increases more a little.

Bitcoin was at $57800 when ripple was $1.
Bitcoin increased to $82280 when ripple increased to $1.69.
That is 1.41x for bitcoin
1.6x for ripple.

So XRP does not increase 10% when bitcoin increase 1%.

You certainly have a point... I’m not talking about historical figures or precise percentages. What I mean is that, right now, executing short-term trades based on price fluctuations relative to Bitcoin is much more predictable.

When most people buy altcoins, they only look at the dollar price and assume the altcoin is rising significantly on its own merit; in reality, however, the altcoin's price is surging in dollar terms simply because the price of Bitcoin is rising. This implies that if the price of Bitcoin doesn't go up, neither does the altcoin's price indicating a lack of genuine interest in that altcoin. We need only look at the XRP/BTC chart, for example:

Six years have passed, and the price of XRP relative to Bitcoin has only fallen with no signs of rising; in fact, it is in a position where it could drop even further. Meanwhile, over that same six year period, Bitcoin’s price has seen significant ups and downs but currently sits well above where it was six years ago. Ultimately, this means that between buying XRP and Bitcoin, buying Bitcoin is the far more reliable choice. For instance, those who bought Bitcoin when it dropped to $62,000 and sold at $82,000 made a solid profit around 30%, which is an excellent return. If one were to buy again during a major dip and sell when the price recovers, the potential profit would be even greater, all while maintaining a safer position than if they had bought XRP.

I guess it's because of the information and analysis that you are getting from this your website that made you say that if Bitcoin drops by -1% then XRP will drop by -10%, right? Because when I checked the website yesterday after you created the thread, I saw the same information but that's not actually accurate when you do the calculation yourself.

Executing short term trades on XRP might seem predictable as you say but I doesn't mean that every prediction you make will really go as you thought it would, I see price still disobeying market structures and looking so manipulative. XRP is the pair I trade almost every week and yet I enter some positions that move against my direction despite that I am following the trend, not that such is not expected to happen but I am just saying that, don't be deceived, apply your risk management while taking a trade, don't think that because it's easily predicable means it's going to go in your direction.

So XRP does not increase 10% when bitcoin increase 1%.

You're not wrong. But we're still in a bear market, so saying that it's not true anymore is kinda too early.

I don't know what the future gonna look like, since that depends on XRP's development and strategy. But if we look at the last bull market, XRP went from $0.4 to $3.6 between 7/2024 and 7/2025. So OP wasn't completely wrong either when he said XRP can move much harder and could give better returns than Bitcoin.

To be fair, altcoin moving harder and potentially giving better returns than Bitcoin is pretty normal since they're smaller and more risky. But not every altcoin can do that.

It's not always like that, it's just a temporary market reaction, in general when bitcoin goes up almost all altcoins also follow it, and you have to know that we already know everything.
I would like to ask how many trials you have done to make sure that, that when bitcoin goes up 1% then XRP will go up 10%, this happens very rarely, and this is not a definite pattern (only sometimes).
Do not speculate excessively so that you have a way to outsmart the uncertain probabilities, I think just look, if you already have a good thesis about the phenomenon you find, then you can make a strategy that might be suitable for you to use in maximizing the profits you can take from the market.

If XRP moved ten times more than bitcoin, that means the marketcap of XRP will be up to $800 million. Only coin that I think can get there is ethereum but I doubt it. XRP is not going above up to that price.

That is even when bitcoin did not increase. If bitcoin price increase to $150000, that means XRP need to get over $1 trillion and around $1.5 trillion. This is not going to happen.

It's been long I saw a post praising XRP and detailing huge expectations from it. Well I don't want to discourage you because I know that XRP have continued to disappoint people who never believed in it and say it as shitcoin but it is still very important to control your expectations and also invest wisely. You should not invest what you cannot afford to lose because XRP is centralised and assets like that can be very risky to hold for long. Remember the case of Luna and act wisely.

It hasn't been talked about or got much attention for a while because of the legal problems with the SEC that lasted almost 5 years. But now the lawsuit is over.

I agree that centralized altcoins like XRP are risky, but gotta point out that it has been around since 2012, it's not some new coin.

It can still be called a shitcoin because of its centralization, but it still did around 10x in the last cycle. Wouldn't be surprising if someone buys it in this bear market and gets a similar return in the next cycle.  High returns come with high risk tho, and OP should keep that in mind.

I agree that centralized altcoins like XRP are risky, but gotta point out that it has been around since 2012, it's not some new coin.

It can still be called a shitcoin because of its centralization,
Going by this logic, can we equally call Ethereum, SOL, BNB, shitcoins because of their centralized nature? If we can’t classify these Altcoins I mentioned as shitcoins then I don’t think XRP should be considered as shitcoin. The coin has been around for years now. It survived a prolonged legal battle and as of today it is trading above a dollar. For me the centralized nature of a coin shouldn’t make it be classified as shitcoin, because some of the Altcoins we celebrate today are also centralized. Or is it that all centralized coins are regarded shitcoins?
