I do not want to discuss your specific country here; I think such a discussion is more productive in a local board.

But, yes, corruption is a universal problrm.  Im not saying that every country has bad leaders, but corruption is present in almost every government in the world to some extent.  Its impact, however, is not the same.  In rich countries, it is usually polished up.  It looks like legal lobbying, tax loopholes, or politicians cutting deals for big corporations. In poorer countries, its just blatant. Money gets pulled straight out of the public budget, and you feel it every day because basic stuff just fails.

The line between a functional and a dysfunctional country is not drawn by the mere presence of corruption, but by whether the system provides enough for ordinary people to survive and build a decent life.

I found the way that you proposed this thread a bit strange because you are asking if your country is not offering these things how would you feel in the world that we live in. I would ask you two questions in return. Which countries are the ones that are providing good healthcare, road, electricity and things like that in proportion to the money that is taken away from the citizens? There would be very few countries that qualify, and probably not a single one that is developing. So much money is stolen through corruption and spent in inefficient ways that the proportion is very often terrible. Things abroad are not as good as they seem, many people in the developed world are living in tough circumstances and have to save money with extreme measures like buying low quality groceries or rarely going out to have dinner in a restaurant. Very few people live very good in such places, you have to get a very high paying job or at least own your own apartment or home because rent takes a huge amount of money.

This hits differently. Our country now are in worst condition! (Maybe due to the Current Government Administration), yes theres updated tax collected from workers, employers and even businesses. But the money well spent by the Politicians prolly on their own interest. Where do I live? From the Philippines.

Even my own countrymen will justify what I said that those youve mentioned services or should the people get arent happening for real. At least majorly doesnt get the help its needed. If I can leave in here and be a citizen to other worthy country I will cause theres no hope when the Government is abusing your countrymen.

BTW, our peso value keeps decreasing its value we rather hold bitcoin or even USD for the matter. This speaks how bad the economy we have at the moment.

What you said, it happens to a country where the leadership are not corrupt...A good country that's developed, make a provision of employment opportunity in order to sustain average citizens..But so many undeveloped countries doesn't create job opportunities to her citizens....

You have my point and that is what I am actually looking to have people talk about, if we take for instance our country Nigeria you would see that we have a very bad Governance and our leaders doesn't care about developing our country instead they preferred going to abroad to have a better life while leaving people in our country to suffer.
Truth be told, everyone loves their country but due to bad governance and leadership we often see people leaving their countries to another just to have a better life over there and possible they are offering good employment with a better paying offers.

I don't know the country that the OP belongs to, maybe he is from one of the civilised countries. Some countries are facing hardship, not just as a result of inflation, I think the best word for this is wickedness. Because if not because of wickedness why on earth will the leaders take their children to abroad for them to study, when we have qualified and certified teachers within the country. What is killing our leaders is that, they don't want their families to suffer, and they are intentionally causing problems to other people's family. They don't want the children of the less privileged people to get what their children are getting. Why can't they provide the social amenities that are required, so that we benefit together.

Our leaders do not believe in their own government and that's why they are sending their children abroad for education, treatment and other things. So this clearly show that they know how terrible the system is, in terms of education, and treatment and that's why they are not risking it. If they provide the equipments at are needed they will never have doubts about our educational system and health system

Well if your country does not provide you with the necessary things  that will make life comfortable for you then you have no choice than to find means to make life better for yourself. A developed country can do all that but not a developing country. The facts is that we don't have the power to chose which country we will be Born to, but we find ourselves in anyone. So If we are from the developed, we can only benefit from it. But if not so then we either adapt the system or find solution elsewhere. Collecting more taxes does not solve any problems, it makes the population more poor. If they wanted to collect taxes they can focus on the rich, but besides that the issue is not with tax collection. Enough money is being collected and actually there is not even a need to focus too much on tax evaders. The biggest issue is corruption and inefficient use of the money that is already being collected. I see this in data with many countries, so it is a consistent problem that just appears in different ways. Some countries hide better their corruptions by making it legal, like how some provide all kinds of tax benefits to the rich. That way it is all legal on paper and if analyzed by some corruption framework they will get a good score, it is just a trick that developed countries use. This problem is present in all countries of the world, it just looks different.

It is a famous saying here, that if you want peace, then wait for death. Although people who are rich, they can't have any issues because the rich and elites class has always made their own societies and small communities where the rates of houses are normally starting from millions.

In my country, thousands have left to make a good living, they are going all over the world where they can earn better, but they make one wrong mistake, they never plan to prepare their life there, they always want to go back, so they send money back, they don't save.

The things that are asked about the feeling is not good for me to discuss because the answer must not be much different and the explanation must also be reptitive.
Surely everyone who wants a better life they will choose to live in a country where they can live with decent facilities, there are only a few who can and there are many who do not, we know this.

But certainly wherever your country is now, you must have more money, because only then you will be able to enjoy better facilities and life without caring about developing or developed countries, so instead of thinking about such things, it is better to think about how you can get more income for your life, getting the attention of a government that is aware of its responsibility is difficult, so, stop hoping in my opinion, and demand yourself to be able to live better.

Well, we have everything you mentioned. The point is, the quality of the services above isn't good. We pay expensive tributes (150 worked days of the year are solely to pay tributes) and receive roads without maintenance, a public healthcare system which doesn't supply everyone in need, besides progressive taxes over solar energy production by the government (yes, here they tax even the electricity you make from the sun).

I feel bad and insufficient about this situation. It's a corrupt country which makes a lot of money from taxes, but its purpose is to attend the interests of the supreme court ministers, the politicians and the big businessmen. Everyone else is just used by this system to feed it.

I think that's what every country's government is doing, they taxed those who have stable and high compensated jobs while exempt those who are jobless. The only problem is that despite of the huge amount of taxes collected, once there is corrupt government officials, the funding for public services, infrastructures and government operations will definitely be compromised. Thus, the people are left suffering while those corrupt officials are living in luxury. No wonder why most of those fresh graduates are going abroad and build their life and career there.

Migration isn't the answer at times but instead looking for something that you can do in your country is better than looking for low quality jobs abroad. At this point ,instead of depending on the govenwmmt all the time, it's time we use our entrepreneur mindsets to help our economy. No government is perfect but at least some of them are trying their best to make the life of their citizens good but my country is different. The government aren't doing anything and although they keep on saying the economy is progressing but it's been over 4 yes they came into power and I haven't seen much changes but policies are getting signed everyday. The economy in the country is bad and even migration is difficult because of the visa ban  so that isn't an option that much.

Because of exposure from the internet and the media, it is not difficult noticing that there are specific amenities and provisions lacking in your country by the government, and it is normal to have the desire to experience it hence relocation.

If you are in one of these countries where conditions are lacking, help yourself as much as you can in whatever way you can as you know the government is not coming to help you, stop complaining because that will not help.

- people struggle to find jobs in the real world
- salaries are low while demands are high
- taxes are steep and frequently rising
- the cost of goods is high and out of sync with the minimum wage
- yet, public services are subpar, roads are often in disrepair, corruption is rampant, and healthcare and education aren't even government priorities. All this while there is an expectation to be a "good citizen" despite such dire conditions.

I know every country has its pros and cons. But economically speaking. well, things are pretty bad in my country. Personally, I’m very fortunate and deeply grateful. I get it all to cryptocurrency. In developed countries of the world, the government provides a better life for its citizens, where improved health care and roads help citizens in all areas. The government only takes a certain amount of tax from them and instead provides a better life for its citizens, although we can only see this in developed countries such as Europe and America. However, in African countries, there are no such facilities at all, especially there is no improved life system, and they are economically weak in all areas. Even if the government wants to, it will not be able to easily eliminate such deficiencies, rather the citizens have many problems, there are no improved health care, roads and electricity, which do not provide better housing for the citizens. If the government of a country whose economic position is developed has a good attitude, they can organize and develop their country properly. And in countries where the economic position of the country is terribly weak, it is not possible to get anything good, the citizens only have to go through an undeveloped life system.e]

I live in a country ravaged by war, so... none of these things are available in my country: no job opportunities, no quality healthcare, no paved roads, poor electricity, even worse internet, high prices and rampant government corruption.

Therefore, the natural feeling for me and most people in this country  is a desire to emigrate and live in another country that offers a dignified and comfortable life. Especially young people who wish to launch their careers but find no job opportunities or the necessary tools to start their own ventures.

I know what you mean. If life for a person is limited when it comes to health facilities, power supplies, road infrastructure, and employment, it is quite reasonable that they may seek out the brighter side where the other part may lie. The idea that you are paying taxes would probably be much easier to swallow if one could see where these funds are going and if the government, in fact, is supplying people, with services that are much overdue.

Leaving the country is a very attractive option and may well enhance an individual's way of life considerably, but there is a flipside also: moving from home involves a lot of hassle too. After all, everyone is just seeking the same things a settled, trouble-free, peaceful life, the opportunities that a person can really use, and being able to look forward to, at least, a reasonably good future for themselves.

I think that it is very easy to know how helpful an economy is to their ordinary citizens with the number of people who wants to migrate to other countries so the total number of immigrants of any country spread throughout developed countries will show you the level of their economy. Many underdeveloped economies are not helpful to their citizens who would feel that they deserve better and will prompt them to seek for a better life with their families outside their country.

In underdeveloped and developing countries their governments hardly provide them with basic amenities like steady electricity supply, clean running water, good roads, security of lives and properties, these are things that ordinary people enjoy in developed countries but you have to be very rich to enjoy them in underdeveloped countries. If your government cannot put food on your table they should atleast play their own parts but due to massive corruption they will not so ordinary citizens will look for ways to leave their countries to where things are well planned.

Those who leave their country to seek greener pastures in developing nations are not finding life easy. They face discrimination, cultural shock, racism, health problems, unemployment, and many more. The only reason why I would move to another country is insecurity. I would rather remain in my country and seek ways to increase my income.

There are alternative sources of electricity, like solar energy. Good hospitals are available, but they are expensive. There is also a poor road network in my country. However, buying strong vehicles could limit these problems.

I am aware that many people cannot afford these basic needs because of a corrupt government. For me, I prefer to remain in my country and not move to a place where I would be treated inhumanely.
