Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, I believe that the biggest strength of Bitcoin is it's utilities, the decentralised and proof of work is why I am so into the innovation, I would have no use for Bitcoin if it's not a store of value.
Some people will say that using Bitcoin for everyday transactions is where it fell off for them, like a old friend of mine likes to say but I always like it when I say it's not a must to use Bitcoin as money.
The option is just there, it's really not a must, some people will still find credit cards and PayPal options as better meanwhile I hate most of these centralised medium of payments, I want Bitcoin to win in this area too but it's never created to win in such area.

I believe, when it comes to Bitcoin's value, one thing that isn't considered anymore, once it's boiled down to price, is settlement itself. The recipient and sender need not rely on each other if they use a different payment processor or bank to verify the transaction and settle the Bitcoin. That property can be beneficial even when the price starts to be constant. Indeed, a stable price may draw some investors away from Bitcoin as an investment and towards using it as a settlement network. Now the question was whether Bitcoin could be viable to make everyday payments, while still maintaining its decentralization and security.
A major feature of Bitcoin is that it can settle transactions without relying entirely on a third party. Transactions are verified and settled according to the rules of the network. How effective Bitcoin will be in everyday purchases will not only depend on decentralization or security. Transaction speed, fees, user convenience, and price fluctuations are also important. Users want to make payments quickly and easily for small, everyday transactions. Whether Bitcoin will remain just an investment asset in the future or will be used more as a means of settling transactions will depend largely on user needs and technological developments over time.

Yes, I would still consider bitcoin valuable because as you said, I am behind the strengths and not just behind the monetary value. Bitcoins have given us the ability to make cross border payments in just a few clicks which was almost impossible in the early 20s'. Bitcoins have also opened various doors to earn a better living especially for unemployed individuals. I can't even compare bitcoins to the traditional financial systems because that is no match. I would always prefer bitcoins over fiat even if I can't use them for my daily expenses.
Those are the real challenges but they are solvable. If those challenges can be eradicated, bitcoins would just become perfect. We can't expect everything to be perfect so those challenges do not really bother me. I feel the positive outcomes are way bigger than these challenges.

So I'm curious what others think: If Bitcoin’s price stayed exactly where it is for the next 10 years, would you still consider Bitcoin valuable? Why or why not?
Bro first of all what you are saying is not possible but unfortunately if it happens i will still consider Bitcoin valuable even if the price stayed the same for 10 years because i did not choose Bitcoin only because i expect the number to go higher. For me the bigger value is having an asset that i can hold and transfer without needing a bank or any central authority or entity to approve it because for profits there are many other options available but bitcoin is freedom that is why i like it my relation with bitcoin is emotional even if i take a loss i do not mind because money comes and goes. What matters to me is that this decentralized gem does not lose its value or purpose.

BTC has many strengths and advantages, as you said, because it's a decentralized asset. Its advantages stem from its limited supply, among other things. However, most people currently want to buy BTC because it sees its price constantly rising and constantly breaking new ATHs. I don't think there's anything wrong with that, as the continued rise indicates a growing adoption rate.
Personally, I buy and invest in BTC to seek profit and also to protect my money from inflation, as the BTC price is constantly breaking new ATHs. Imagine if the BTC price didn't constantly rise and didn't break new ATHs, could BTC be considered inflation-proof when held long-term? Personally, if the BTC price didn't fluctuate and didn't constantly break new ATHs, I wouldn't invest in BTC because I'm looking for profit. In my opinion, the most important thing is to enjoy the BTC you have and enjoy your long-term investment in BTC. but to be honest, I still don't know enough about this so please understand if there are mistakes.
If you are only looking profits then yes, you might not always be with bitcoins because there would be times where the price would stick to the bottom for months or maybe years. I am sure you would prefer unloading your bag and exiting the market until you find a better entry level again. But for the rest, they believe in bitcoins. These people would continue holding bitcoins even if they are on the rock bottom or stay there for years. I am one of these people and believe in the long term future. Bitcoin's are breaking ATH after a few years gap. This will continue in future but there would be a time when it might take forever to break ATH. Just try and believe in the benefits bitcoin offers at that time so you could consider holding at least a smaller chunk which you could afford to lose.

In the German subforum I had started a thread to collect reasons to support Bitcoin other than the price. Actually a very similar premise to this thread Eure besten Argumente für Bitcoin - außer der Preisentwicklung ("Your best arguments in favour of Bitcoin - except the price") Some of the best posts I remember are, apart from the often mentioned advantages like censorship resistance, limited supply, ability to create an account which can't be canceled by a bank, and independence from governments: - BTC has advanced the science about consensus mechanisms, - it is a kind of democracy for money, where all users can bring in their own ideas to advance the protocol, - it has a "healthy" influence on other forms of money, including fiat: its existence as a competitor ensures people do not depend entirely on fiat, and thus fiat has lost its monopoly - it is the first truly global form of money, available for every citizen of all countries. Feel free to translate the thread, there are lots of other interesting arguments

Well, there have already been quite a lot of replies on your thread and I am pretty obvious that everyone has tried to give you a better response. I won’t say much more but will try to elobrate little general...... It’s human nature that no one does something without a purpose like if something haven't any purpose then simply we will ignore it....So, if we neglect the price quality of Bitcoin then I think people would consider it merely as a tech tool because the price is gives people the opportunity to make a profit and that the reasons why people (institutional/retails) are just compete with each other to adopt it...... Let me add one more thing we all know that Bitcoin Tx is drive on miner and to be honest if miners didn't didn't grab their rewards then simply they will let on spare mode like they will never ever verified your Tx without any rewards. So price is a big factor.....

From everything you mentioned, it’s actually already answered where Bitcoin’s strength lies because the main value of Bitcoin is in its fundamentals with a fixed supply, a decentralized network and resistance to censorship.
So as long as Bitcoin remains like this it will continue to be the most unique asset, even considered a financially sovereign asset. People will still be interested in Bitcoin even if its price fluctuates or stagnates, because basically, price is just one market indicator, not the only measure of value we get from Bitcoin. Sure, challenges like the ones you mentioned regarding scalability and privacy do exist, but as long as the network keeps running properly, Bitcoin fluctuating or stagnant price doesn’t erase the uniqueness that attracts people to it.
If the price of Bitcoin stagnates it might be serious challenge to some persons while those who understand decentralization and security might still consider Bitcoin. If we should be real about while Bitcoin is gaining adoption, it is not even because of bitcoin being decentralized. People just like the fact that Bitcoin is a valuable asset and this is what drives them crazy about bitcoin. Lets look at the shitcoins ,it is possible that people understands it is not a reliable asset but people just like the fact that some money can be made from them while they last. As for bitcoin their are different reason why people considers it as asset; value and decentralization, and if value is no more those who are interested to be in control of their money will still stick to it.

If Bitcoin’s price stayed exactly where it is for the next 10 years, would you still consider Bitcoin valuable? Why or why not?
Of course, in my personal assessment of the value of Bitcoin, I actually see it from the resilience of the system that Bitcoin itself has, you definitely know that Bitcoin has been around in the world community for 17 years, many governments, authorities, companies who want to control or block Bitcoin, but for the current month there are among those who have succeeded in doing so, unlike other types of cryptocurrencies, once the crash is over, Bitcoin is not. What makes Bitcoin even more valuable is the decentralization of the network, limited supply in contrast to other digital currencies, the supply can be tweaked and hundreds of billions of coins can be created, while Bitcoin is absolute for supply, this situation clearly proves that there is no policy whatsoever that can hinder Bitcoin, including central banks and so on. This means that the price of Bitcoin has no effect, what is valuable is as I said above, even if 20 years from now Bitcoin will still be valuable.

Bitcoin has had a long history enough to debunk fuds such as Bitcoin is a Ponzi scam. No Ponzi scam can maintain its success in 17 years and throughout many market cycles including many bearish years. Ponzi scams can succeed during early times but when things change, capital withdrawn out of the Ponzi ecosystem, money flow broken, and the whole scam Ponzi ecosystem will collapse very quickly. Bitcoin market has faced with many bear markets, many bearish years but it has come back very strongly, even made many new all time highs. Bitcoin has been bullish since 2009 but there is a more bullish future. Gold already went through that development phase a long time ago and Bitcoin has been on its own development and expansive phase. The bullish case for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin’s value doesnt come from its price surges and numbers on the chart but its true vakue comes from it’s qualities that no other thing can provide, it is a decentralised coin, has a fixed supply and has no physical shape, and i think these qualities are what make bitcoin valuable. Only a person that uses bitcoin as a tool to multiply his wealth will see its value in the price otherwise the true value of bitcoin is in its main core characteristics.
