Nope that's not the point by the op, op didn't say his friend lost 10 btc. Op was trying to point out scam situations by saying "imagine if 10 BTC is stole from a father who has kept it for years hoping to pass on it on as inheritance as much as possible", that wasn't about his friend. Such kind of scam situations can cause such a father health problem that can take him closer to ancestors if care isn't taken.

From OP explanation it is clear to see that OP’s friend is rather frustrated of not getting rich quick and it’s not even hard to see that someone with this mentality has actually gamble in lots of shit coins and calling them investments but I strongly doubts that if he has actually invested in bitcoin that he would have actually been fed up talking about losses, so first of all OP’s friend has to look into himself and probably think what he has done wrong or has been doing wrong and not totally blame it on investment.

As for scamming people I need to talk about the repercussions of it because he should be able to know that too but my advice is scamming isn’t even a small business to dive into, your friend need to be a tech savvy and also need tools that means spending money on resources I think it will be best he divert that to making it legally

Op's friend might have been drowning in a lot fo thought on his to either get revenge or male quick money like those scammers does. You know that's how it normally starts, first the thoughts comes in then you begin to have options.

Scammers will not have a good end, the laws of karma are real. You might get away today but tomorrow it all comes back knocking. They don't always have a good ending like in the fairy tales we all know.

What else if not to sympathise with him. 10 BTC is a whole lot for him to lose it to scammers and what will even make him feel more pain is when he is seeing the price of bitcoin rising higher which if his bitcoins was still intact he would have been extremely happy. If the price of bitcoin gets to $100k that means he lost $1M, i understand his pain because sometimes just a little mistake can become disastrous. It would have been better if you had shared how your friend got scammed so that other people here can be at alert and also take caution. The rate at which people are losing their crypto assets is on the increase and it's very bad.

Yes, I do have an advice for your friend, and it is for him to focus more on improving his knowledge and understanding instead of thinking about profits all the time. There is absolutely no way a person can convince me that an investor can lose money in this market if they are patient, have a lot of selt-control, and have invested their money in the right assets. If your friend had invested in Bitcoin, he would never lose any money if he kept holding his assets because we all know that even if Bitcoin drops in value for the short-term, it will always recover and even those who had invested at the peak will also make some profits when the time comes, so it's all about being patient and waiting for the right time.

Nope, no advice will do any good for him, because he has lost his holdings from which he must have hoped a lot, that's why we should not attach our feelings to the money instead we should focus on our targets, on our skills so we can stand up again after falling down. People lose money even in fiat although the chances of recovery are higher in fiat but still the risk is almost the same, people lose their wealth, even people lose their properties to some lawsuit, their businesses etc.

There have been plenty of cases reported on this and those people did not stop, they kept on going, they all said at one point that the show must go on.

It can't be stopped until you are not ready and those who have this vibe, they might spend some time in remorse but eventually they have to do something, work, earn, accumulate and invest again. His money was stolen, but the majority here lost it to the other traders by selling at the wrong time.

Losing an amount that can leave you devastated is something I'm still trying to comprehend, especially when you as the victim happen to be the initiator probably due to silly mistakes or whatever. I know mistakes are inevitable, but does it cost that much to actually accumulate peacefully and not end up getting scam after interacting with something else?. I'm not exactly sure of how private people keep things, especially in today's world where most things either end up on the internet or other people's ears.

Well, I'm not exactly sure of how your friend lost his holdings, but the thing is, he just has to accept reality and move on. I guess we've all lost something important and maybe costly at some point. If he/she still has a paying job, then there's still an interest in continuing, then they can actually do that. I also have a friend who sold most of his holdings but never thought of doing this. Maybe he has put all in to crypto and then only to incur with losses. But that's a wrong mindset he's got there, ask him if he wants to be a criminal. Yet on that path, you don't want to be with him and he can on his own way. Could he even think of what food he's going to feed his family from scamming people and other investors hard earned money? I guess so if that's the kind of thinking that he's got there. Just give him an advise that he shouldn't do it, and you have already done what you have to do to help him.

So it is natural for him to be angry. However he can actually turn this negative experience into an opportunity to earn money.

Your friend likely possesses significant experience with cryptocurrency. He can put that experience to good use. He could create blog & online course to teach other.
This will facilitate him to transmit his knowledge with others while also forming new source of earning.
He could form local or online group to assist newcomer with crypto security and investment strategy. This would help enhance his leadership and networking skill. Additionally he could analyze market data to produce report or insight that are valuable to average trader. He could also leverage his experience by coaching new investors.

Becoming a scammer is not solution. He might manage to make lot of money quickly that way.

Inability to cope with pain of losing capital results in misdirected attempt to escape from reality. Not dealing with the markets anymore is an understandable response in this situation, whereas resorting to criminal activity is due to hatred, which causes terrible damage to human soul.

Professional help of psychiatrist is needed before the criminals hurt any other innocent people because ability to trick others numbs the feeling of guilt.

Don't put all your eggs in a single basket. Invest in bitcoin, invest in other assets as well outside crypto, that way when one fails, you still have other assets that are working in progress.
