I don't use duelbits online casino but I am very sure that there are many people using that online casino in this forum, I was scrolling through x minutes back and I saw this.

I hope Duelbits will be able to absorb the loss. Stake and Metawin were exploited in the past, but they continue rendering gambling service after the hack. I hope Duelbits will also continue the same. Most gambling funds are on cold wallet and not online wallet. Possible only the online wallet will be hacked if this is true.

This is terrifying if its confirmed to be a hack. I hate when casinos are hacked because those are people's deposits that are being stolen and that makes a reputable casino appear bad. I will wait for official announcement from Duelbits. I just hope it is not what it seems to be because we cannot lose one of the best casino in this forum to hackers.

Once Duelbits confirmed the unauthorized access and took the platform offline, it became clear that this wasn’t just speculation. Now the biggest question is whether the hackers got access to customer funds, hot wallets, or any critical parts of the platform.
And once again, this is a good reminder of why I prefer not to keep large amounts of money in a casino balance. Even with a large and well-known platform, there’s always a risk of a hack, and that’s something the gambler has absolutely no control over.

Duelbits updates show that they are going to relaunch and stay on; they have a good reputation and standing in the gambling industry, and they will not waste the many years of work it took to reach their current status. I also agree that they should upgrade their security.

As a rule of thumb, it would take years to build-up the trust and reputation of a gambling casino and only take seconds or minutes to ruin it.

Duelbits is the perfect representation of a casino that has established its name throughout the forum. It has been operating for years now and it also has a designated signature campaign that has been consistently paying its users for years now.

I do assume that they would take this loss but they will try their best to restore and maintain their goodwill and reputation they have built. I mean, it would be a waste to completely go out of business with a massive loss such as this one. They still have their name and reputation that they can maximize to acquire and attract new and potential gamblers in the future.

A lot of people are starting to panic that they still have some funds in their accounts, and now Duelbit has gone offline to investigate the whole thing. It has been a while since I heard any news about a casino or a gambling platform being hacked.

Some on X are currently criticising Duelbit for not being generous enough with their bug bounties, and if they were more generous, someone would have reported it to them. I actually want to see their response to the whole hack and how they handle it. It is actually very sad to see tho.

We can only hope, if Duelbits.com experiences a hack attack, I hope they can be held responsible if a user loses their balance.
But if everything can still be controlled, of course there are things that Duelbits.com must do for its users, hopefully they are safe.

Usually that's what online casinos do, when they detect suspicious things such as hacker attacks, shutting them down, that's a step to prevent access for hackers, hopefully user funds that are involved during Duelbit on-line users can be resolved without losing their money.

If you have funds on Duelbit just don't panic if you cannot access the site because they have gone offline to enable them investigate the security incident that have affected the site. I hope that they can overcome the loss and move on with their business here and outside the forum. However, Duelbit is a big casino and it wouldn't take them much time to come back online. Scammers are targeting these big companies nowadays.

That sucks.  $7 million dollars is no small loss.  I hope that duelbits is able to absorb it without effecting their customers.  I assume they had a cold storage reserve and for an operation the size of duelbits I assume that a few million dollars won't destroy their business.  Still, if you are a cautious person, this is the type of situation where you withdraw your funds and give yourself a little reset.  I have no reason to suspect funds are at risk, but I've been through too many of these events to sit patiently and hope for the best.

It's not even surprising me. It seem they don't learn from their mistake in the past. So i guess this is just another PKC hack like what happened to them a few years ago. Nevertheless, if they have lots of reserved funds, it will be easy to reimburse all of their players, but the same case is happening two times.

I'm wondering whether this will affect the trust to them or not. This must be an awareness for the crypto casino to also focus on how to strengthening their security. I hope the case will be resolved asap, and still waiting for the confirmation that is not yet coming.

I have now see that post and a confirmation of the hack from Joe. This is a bad thing for all of use that love that casino and I hope they are able to pull through this difficult time. They actually confirmed that user funds is safe which is one lovely thing about them, they take responsibility and do their best to protect the interest of their users. Already confirmed to be a hack, and for over 7 million dollars according to information I have seen on Twitter and also here on the forum.
If I had to guess, I would say this is the doing of North Korean hackers.
They are well-known for targeting crypto casinos and it is suspected there are they one's behind the hack which Stake suffered several months ago.

Gratefully, it seem funds of people are safe or at least that is what the management of the casino is saying.
I assume the management of the casino is going to take this loss to their pocket in order for people to continue to have faith in them and continue to gamble on duelbits...

I really hope so. Gambling sites supposed to have most of their money on a cold wallet, I expect the gambling site customers to be protected. A good gambling site supposed not to shutdown because of hack if the gambling site is well managed. I hope the gambling site will be opened very soon so that people will continue to gamble. Duelbits is one of the best gambling sites that I know, I hope they will be able to dust this of their cloth.

The rate of exploits and hacks this year has been really alarming. The vulnerabilities on these sites need to be checked thoroughly because this is no longer something that can be taken lightly. Hackers seem to have found ways to exploit these bridges and gain access to the online wallets of different sites. I hope Duelbits is able to absorb the loss. This shouldn't be a reason for them to go out of business. They have already built a reputation in the gambling industry, and that gives them something to build on. They just need to stay strong during these difficult times. The site is currently down, and I hope they are able to fix the issue and get it back online soon. That could also help reduce some of the tension and uncertainty growing online.

If they are smart enough and the management of the casino is not a disaster, then I would expecting Duelbits to have the bulk of their money safe in a cold wallet, this hack was likely conducted against one of their hot wallets which was kept funded in order to offer automated withdrawals for their customers.
Even if there has been hacks in the past against casinos and bookies, this is the first time I have been the casino deciding the best course of action is to temporarily to shut down their own webpage ... It is rather strange and even counter productive if you asked me.
It would be better for them to keep their casino up, so people can be reassured their funds and their accounts are okey. Shutting down the casino while they investigate could create some unwanted FUD on their gamblers.

I think Joe also confirmed no users funds were tempered with, but regardless, it is a very ugly situation for the company. I hope they will be able to find out the possible cause of this hack. I didn't even know casinos had such amount of crypto in their hot wallet, I mean why so? The only reason I could think of is the demand for instant automated withdrawal, i.e good payout speed but I fill this amount is way too much to be stored in a hot wallet.
