There is no reason to dream about future for their comeback, their time is up.

Duelbits have been hacked before, and they came back, am sure Duelbits are still going to come back, they just went off due to what just happened, they definitely trying to figure things out first, which I believe any casino that experience a major  hack is going to do. You don’t expect them to be hacked without pausing their operation for that moment. Duelbits will have to take their security more serious, the hack is just becoming so much which doesn’t make sense.

But they are being transparent about the situation which is a good sign and they already announced that users funds are safe with them means they will cover the 7 million from their own loss.

Any crypto platform can be potentially hacked that is why we should not leave any balance left those wallet even if they are a completely trusted one.

The way they ended the business really shows that they are running away from something that is after them. I remember Bitsler in the good old days, but after some years their activity in the forum dwindled until they tried to make a comeback around last year, if I recall well.

You are making a point here because they really have not tell the community their reasons for shutting down at this point in time. Could it be that they are dodging something or what?  This sudden decision looks strange though but with time the truth will come out.
As for data privacy, nobody can guarantee that again since we have seen big organisations being hacked and data breached with no remedy for such attack privacy can no longer be guaranteed anymore. So if anyone is doing a KYC with any organisation, they are doing such at their own risk.

Founder Joe has already injected over $7 million to refill their hot wallet. This move that has been verified on chain. Although Duelbits has fallen victim to hack in past but they have never allowed the financial impact to affect their customer.

Their transparency and integrity have impressed me. In fact, my trust in the founder Joe, has actually grown even more. I am now waiting for the site to go fully live.

However everyone should learn lesson from this incident.
No matter how trusted or transparent any casino may be, one should never treat their hot wallet as personal deposit vault.

The size of a casino can actually give it some sort of advantage and more resources to handle security risks and incidents like this one, but that doesn’t necessarily mean every customer is actually protected you know.  I believe what matters more is whether they would have provisions of handling or taking care of affected funds and also whether their security measures would prevent the incident from occurring again in the future. After a hack, it’s crucial for the company to be transparent in all their dealings as this is just as important as having enough money to cover the losses.

Regaining trust by "Duelbits" crypto casino is one thing that is never an issue at all, because this casino have been in the industry for years and have built strong and loyal audience all this  years. So for the fact that the casino had a major security breach which lead to losing $7million, which lead to it shutting down it's platform right away, because it is very possible that If the casino never knew how successful  money was been withdrawn from such platform, shutting down was the perfect solution to this situation.

This duelbit hack is a very big shock and one of the largest I have come across so far concerning casino hacks, stake, and metawin figures, which are not close to this. I just hope duelbit will be able to resolve this and start up their 2.0 version.

Bitsler.io I thought they had a similar shutdown in December last year, which was 2025, due to regulatory compliance, or was that particular shutdown just on some countries and this one a total close-down?, anyways shutdown might not be what players want but it’s better than the casino being hacked and sweeper dried.

It was a wise decision if you ask me.

Let's say they keep their operation going. After the whole hack, they simply inject $7 million back into their wallet and resume operations. What do you think would happen if there are still loopholes for hackers to exploit again? They would simply just be giving more money to the hackers, so if the reason they went offline for now is to look deeply into the issue and see where they can tighten their security, then it is a good move. As for the reputation, don't worry nothing is going to happen to it at all. If they are able to pull this off, well, they may be able to use it to get some sort of traction for their site.

RIP to Bitsler. It was one of my favourite casinos back in the day. I didn't play much there, as I'm a fan of sports betting by default. I don't know what really happened, but it could be that these new-age casinos put them out of business, and they really should have gone big and included sports betting very early on as the gambling space is super competitive.

And I hope this shouldn’t have a significant impact on them. I hope they will thoroughly check all their security measures using artificial intelligence before returning to the online platform. This is not always true, the casino in this case is being very transparent about it. Many services and platforms get hacked in different extents all the time and when possible they try to hide it from the public. When a platform is very lucrative because it has a lot of money they are being targeted all the time and that is normal, it matters more how they handle the situation around the hack and what happens afterwards. They have dealt with the past hack well and they will do it this time too.

We can congratulate Duelbits on being back online. Their hot wallets have been replenished, so everyone can log into their profiles, change their passwords, and check their balance: does it match their pre-hack balance?

I'm not saying they need to disclose all of their finances. They shouldn't. However, it would make more sense if they disclose the ones that matter like an insurance fund. one thing is certain, they can not hide for ever, definitely there luck will over one day and they will be caught and will suffer for their acts. I just hope this doesn't cause the casino to go down or even affect customers payout.

I am pretty sure that only fraction of them are getting caught. There are SO many hacks of casinos, smart contracts, DEXes and CEXes that amount of total value stolen is unreal. And people who get repercussions is a very short list compared to that. It's hard for me to believe that people stealing 7 million these days are ever getting caught, when that's basically peanuts these days.

AML laws are stricter, so they might get caught if they don't know anything about money laundering, but it's not like some of the most notorious hackers even care if they get caught, because they are working under orders of North Korea or some other already sanctioned country.

People are really pointing fingers at the Curacao licence saga, that information in the hands of hackers and a few to the public is uncovering a lot of things concerning casino owners and their linked involvement in other things. If that actually contributed to their reason for closure, then they are trying to exit the market before whatever they consider a bigger danger will hit them.

I only heard about duelbits, I'm surprised that bitsler faced worse. Although I'm am not too familiar with the casino to some coser levels, but it's always bad to hear of casinos closing in this forum, generally all casinos that are active or was once fully active are legitimate because the bad ones are always tagged red, so basically it's not a situation where they will just want to scam individuals and close down, they all are legitimate casinos with goals, and hearing of anyone closing is truly heartbreaking because it's likely something bad that made them close down.
