It’s very sad I hope everyone gets their money back somehow and that Duelbits comes back stronger. I’m sure they’ll handle this situation well.
No customer lost anything through the Duelbits hack. They are also up and running again, their hot wallet has been topped up and players can now deposit, play and withdraw smoothly on the website. They have also announced that they are launching Duelbits 2.0 soon, i know it is sad they just lost a lot of money a couple of days ago, but i am glad they are back and it looks like interesting times ahead for them. It might not look like any damage was done at first, but I think it will take them quite a bit of time to recover still, as a player, I’d like to see Duelbits come out of this okay. And, of course, it’s a good thing that no players lost their funds. In any case, this serves as a wake-up call for all casinos to examine this issue and their own vulnerabilities so that such situations happen less frequently in the future though I wouldn't say they can be eliminated entirely, since bad actors are constantly devising new schemes and looking for vulnerabilities to exploit, especially when targeting casinos with deep pockets.

I don't see changes as bad, that is, for me, not just bad. Of course it always depends on how you adapt, i don't know if you get what i mean. If you are a person or a company or a casino that adapts easily and flexibly, it is no problem for you.
If you are an entity that prefers to live on income then no.
Sorry I really do not understand what you mean. I’ve read your response over and over again, and I’ve not been able to pick out any meaningful points from it or figure out how what you’re saying correlates to everything that I’ve just said. You are speaking of adaptation, and I’m kinda confused here, adapting to what exactly? If you don’t mind, you can further elaborate on the point you’re trying to make so I can understand you better. Thanks

Platform which stores crypto are lucrative target for attackers. We have seen it on exchanges and casinos. Gambling sites might not be as rich and profitable to keep up with exchange level securities but they should at least keep most of their funds on cold wallet so hacking of their hot wallet won't make them go out of business. Security is an ever running race of cat and mouse and every of such attacks technicality should be released in public so other sites could patch if they have same problem. But we can't also rule out the chances of false attacks by the casinos itself in order to embezzle the user funds.

The main idea is to double down on their security systems and make sure their cold-wallet storage is completely secure. Many of these hacks are targeted, and as long as there is any possibility of their wallets being online and connected to their platforms, attackers will always look for loopholes to steal from them.In my opinion, they should avoid keeping all their assets in hot wallets and instead have fixed periods for transferring funds from their cold storage to their hot wallets. This could help reduce the chances of hackers gaining access to their funds. This year alone, we have seen so many attacks on popular platforms, and I don't think they will stop there.

There is a lot going on in the online gambling and crypto exchange space, and I believe that everyone should be careful to stay safe. Days ago Bistler announced that their service would be shut down, but we have heard of many crypto exchanges that have shut down their services weeks ago, and now it’s Casinobet.com that will be shutting down their service this Thursday, but the crazy thing is that they didn’t announce this on their socials while they were posting about their service on X, and the announcement of the closing of their service is only posting on their website as showing above. A notice has been issued to shut down another casino. Since moderator have deleted the quoted thread, you (the OP) can add the name of this casino to your thread. My concern is, when OG player like Bitsler announced their discontinuation, it follows some proper process by providing very clear deadline and notice for user to withdraw their fund. However, what Casinobet.com is doing cannot be described as responsible behavior in any way. This company and its owner should not be trusted, imo.

As I had mentioned in a different thread, unfortunately with the rise of AI, attacks on platforms especially lucrative ones like crypto casinos have become much easier. It's even offered as a service on the dark web for anyone to exploit. As long as these casinos don't spend serious money on 24/7 monitoring, robust defense systems and proper incident response, they are going to keep losing. It's now more important than ever to have a massive security and defense budget to safeguard assets. Another thing that is highly recommended is getting cybercrime insurance to cover at least some of the losses when they inevitably happen.

It's a shame that attacks on casinos like these are still happening. Dulebtis is a casino that has always maintained good management; it's one of the few casinos I've trusted. But after this hack, I see that the casino is still fighting and is online. I think it can move forward and things will turn out well for them, but they need to hire many security agents so this doesn't happen again. Obviously, things are more delicate now. I wouldn't want such a prominent casino to have to close because of criminal thugs.

Nevertheless, Duelbits managed to recover from this incident, although 7,000,000 is a rather substantial sum, but they’ve been back online for several days now. And I don’t see any mass complaints from users about their deposits disappearing without a trace. Also, Delbits stated that they have already prepared 8,000,000 for immediate payouts, just as Bitget did - to immediately replenish users’ wallets with funds while they investigate the potential incident, so that users wouldn’t worry. And this is a very correct tactic from a moral point of view and maintaining one’s reputation.

I don't see changes as bad, that is, for me, not just bad. What changes are you referring to? Of course it always depends on how you adapt, i don't know if you get what i mean. No, I seriously don't get anything. Infact, this is as confusing as it gets. If you are a person or a company or a casino that adapts easily and flexibly, it is no problem for you.
If you are an entity that prefers to live on income then no. Man, this is terrible. Shouldn't this be reported as an off topic/ thread derailing comment? I am truly sorry to hear such unpleasant news, and I hope there won't be any similar issues in the future. Sometimes, seeing a casino disappear for one reason, or another feels like losing a friend; a feeling I have experienced myself. By the way, I believe that well-known sites with solid reputations will certainly take responsibility should any issues arise; they will likely strive to uphold their standing by continuing to provide good service to their users. The same applies to sites that act responsibly by notifying them, even if they are forced to shut down operations.

I certainly understood that Duelbits would gradually recover from an incident like that, but the fact that they are ready to pay out to their users immediately and have put up such a significant sum demonstrates just how committed they are to continuing their gambling services and upholding their reputation. I’m also pleased that this crypto casino is part of our forum community; even though I don’t play there myself, I know they’ve run one of the forum’s longest-standing signature campaigns, and I have a lot of respect for them for that. Perhaps, given these actions, I’ll sign up and give it a try just to show my support.

Well, I am not an active user of Duelbits, so I am not sure how much of high-stakes gambling they have on their casino, but because of the side of their platform of the website and the amount of gamblers they also have, I assume that even if most of their gamblers were rather small, they could still recover that money out of small bets and wager anyways. In the end, the important thing for casinos is the total volume of bets and gambling wager per unit of time, regardless of the size of the pocket of their gamblers individually.
Either am I, but I strongly believe they have what it takes to cover for whatever loss and such platform don’t backdown easily or close from attacks at they have immunity like financial systems backing them up. Perhaps they have a good market base that can keep generating huge returns daily and will recover their losses within a short period of time. Honestly, there are just a handful of casinos which could have taken his hit and continue to operate as if nothing happened. A lot of them, including numbers which advertise here on the forum.

There could actually be some truth in what you said, but we also need to understand that an old casino simply surviving a hack doesn’t automatically make it safer and more reliable, just as being a new casino doesn’t automatically make one unsafe. I think the most important thing here is what the casino has actually managed to learn from the incident and whether the lessons they’ve actually learned is enough for them to take notable steps towards a measurable security improvement so as to offer their users some level of confidence that such unprecedented breach would not happen again, because if a platform’s security system is always being compromised by hackers, it’ll only be a matter of time before they go bankrupt because they can’t keep taking responsibility for those losses forever, and this can actually make people lose confidence in that platform. Recovery is one thing, but how they try to prevent such problem from happening again is what most users often tend to watch closely.
Yes it does, it seems that you might be mistaken with this claim. We have described that what matters is the response to the hack, and not the hack itself. So when a casino has a good response to a hack and moves on with a proper recovery, it makes it more reliable than a casino that has not had any public hacks. You must understand why this is otherwise you risk losing funds on casinos that have not proven themselves. For a casino that was never hacked in a big way, you don't know what will happen with it or what the owners will do when it gets hacked. They might decide to abandon it completely and you might lose money if you were caught in the hack. It is a big unknown with situations like that. But Duelbits has been hacked several times now and has responded properly and recovered accordingly from the hacks. With that they have proven to be safer and more reliable. Safer does not mean from hacks overall, that is another thing but it means safer for the user directly.

Yes, it is very sad that a famous casino platform like Duelbits has been hacked. In fact, when a casino platform is hacked like this, the popularity and credibility of the unique casino platform also decreases. However, casino platform owners should always be vigilant and move forward with maximum security. There is nothing to regret about Bitsler being closed because the team members can take any decision considering the advantages and disadvantages of a casino platform. However, since they have given a lot of time, I have no more complaints about this casino platform.

The main idea is to double down on their security systems and make sure their cold-wallet storage is completely secure. Many of these hacks are targeted, and as long as there is any possibility of their wallets being online and connected to their platforms, attackers will always look for loopholes to steal from them.
Doubling down for how long…? You know, it’s not like there is any casino that isn’t aware of what threats there can be about their security. It’s much more easier to assume their is a team behind this but, when you are always about using a system and it’s not being found faulty or broken at some point, you begin to get the idea that it’s relatively too safe and wouldn’t be prepared for any surprises. That’s where the attackers would always come in to prove you wrong. They would keep testing the system, tugging and pulling until they would find some fault and once they do, the losses tells the rest of the story.

I don't remember any decentralized casino took off as any of the traditional ones, despite knowing all the risks and even hacks. People are still going with the reputation for sure, this might be a short term fall on Duelbits but they will manage to regain their userbase for sure.
I just wish people don't use exchanges as any kind of wallet and keep any balances left in there, just wipe it down when the current session ends and make a new deposit whenever you want to comeback. Because casinos are supporting many cryptos and multiple chains so withdrawal fee will not be an issue anymore.
You have a point and the reason why decentralized casino don't take over is due to their limited gaming services, while some are yet to gain the trust of online gamblers, but I am not talking about a takeover that will happen this year or next year because Rome is not built in a day. I am talking about the power shift that could happen when people have had enough of data breaches and hacking attacks on centralized gambling platforms. Aside from people not using centralized exchanges as a wallet, we shouldn't use centralized gambling platforms as a wallet either, or any other centralized platform. Most of them which claims to be decentralized gambling platforms are not completely decentralized, they may not require direct deposit and let us connect our wallet or something like that but it is always a shady one as far as I have checked. And we will not have a wide range of games on such platforms, users mostly prefer the popular games from prgmatic play and similar but it is not available in decentralized ones and also we can't be sure about their randomness of results. Yes, limited available games with game selection that's usually weak on decentralized gambling platforms is a drawback for some gamblers, and also the shady gaming service of some decentralized casinos, but we also have gambling platforms that aren't decentralized which often make gamblers feel shady. Provably fair is nice; it's a nice theory in this area, but a lot of gamblers seem to prefer the big name slots and live dealers they're used to. That said, the truth still stands that every time something like the Duelbits hot wallet hack or Bitsler happened, it will still pushed some gamblers into at least taking a peek at the alternatives.

I'm so glad Duelbits is back and has recovered. It's not easy, and Duelbits is a casino that needs to come back strong. Some casinos have incredible longevity when they do things right, when they have good intentions. All of this helps them move forward faster. Recovering from a robbery like that takes real courage. If I lose $5 and I'm already crying, that amount is too much. I'm so happy for Duelbits and that everything has been resolved. Hard work and more hard work is what builds up companies.
