What is VargaMesh?

VargaMesh (VMESH) is an independent Bitcoin-style UTXO blockchain using SHA-256d Proof-of-Work, ASERT difficulty adjustment and AuxPoW merged-mining support.

VMESH is the native cryptocurrency of the VargaMesh blockchain.

VMESH is not a token on Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana or another smart-contract platform.

The VargaMesh Mainnet is already operational and can be independently inspected through public infrastructure, open-source node software and the VargaMesh blockchain explorer.

VargaMesh is being developed around a simple principle:

Build the infrastructure first and make it publicly inspectable.

The ecosystem already includes:

• Live independent VMESH Mainnet
• Open-source VargaMesh Core
• VargaMesh Desktop — Windows Full-Node GUI + Self-Custody Wallet
• SHA-256d mining
• AuxPoW merged mining
• BTC + VMESH Merged SOLO mining
• Public blockchain explorer
• Self-custody WebWallet
• Public node/network infrastructure
• Developer and blockchain APIs
• VargaProof on-chain proof-of-existence
• Public Testnet v1
• Testnet explorer
• Testnet wallet
• Testnet faucet

Important:

VargaMesh Desktop is currently pre-1.0 software.

Users should keep independent wallet backups and verify recipient addresses and transaction amounts before sending funds.

Mining

VargaMesh supports standard SHA-256d mining hardware and AuxPoW merged mining.

1. Direct VMESH Mining

Mining information and current public endpoints:

https://vargacoin.com/mining.html

Miner username:

Code:
YOUR_VMESH_ADDRESS.worker

2. BTC + VMESH Merged SOLO Mining

BTC + VMESH Merged SOLO mining is LIVE.

A compatible SHA-256d miner can use the same mining workload for:

• Bitcoin SOLO mining
• VargaMesh AuxPoW mining

No separate allocation of hashrate between BTC and VMESH is required.

Stratum:

Code:
stratum+tcp://mergedsolo.vargacoin.com:3950

Configuration:

Code:
URL:      stratum+tcp://mergedsolo.vargacoin.com:3950
Username: YOUR_BITCOIN_ADDRESS
Password: YOUR_VMESH_ADDRESS

The Bitcoin address identifies the BTC SOLO destination.

The VMESH address identifies the VargaMesh AuxPoW destination.

This is intended for SHA-256d ASIC miners such as Bitaxe and other compatible hardware.

No Premine / Issuance

VargaMesh has no spendable premine.

The genesis output is unspendable.

The monetary schedule is defined by consensus:

• Initial subsidy: 25 VMESH
• Halving: every 1,051,200 blocks
• Maximum supply: 52,560,000 VMESH
• Coinbase maturity: 100 blocks

Coins enter circulation through Proof-of-Work mining rewards.

Pool fees are operational pool policy and are not part of the VargaMesh consensus-level monetary schedule.

VargaMesh Core

VargaMesh Core is the open-source reference node implementation.

Mainnet is the default network.

Code:
vargameshd
vargamesh-cli getblockchaininfo

Public Testnet:

Code:
vargameshd -testnet
vargamesh-cli -testnet getblockchaininfo

Source:

https://github.com/ati1993de/vargamesh-core

Releases:

https://github.com/ati1993de/vargamesh-core/releases

Users who prefer a graphical Windows environment can instead use VargaMesh Desktop, which runs the local Core node automatically.

Wallet Options

VargaMesh currently provides multiple ways to interact with VMESH.

VargaMesh Desktop

Recommended Windows graphical full-node wallet.

Download v0.3.2

Runs a real local VargaMesh Core full node and provides wallet management through a Windows GUI.

WebWallet

https://vargacoin.com/wallet.html

Self-custody browser-based wallet functionality is also available.

VargaProof

VargaMesh also includes VargaProof, an on-chain proof-of-existence system.

A file can be hashed locally using SHA-256.

Only the cryptographic digest is anchored in a VargaMesh transaction using an OP_RETURN commitment.

The actual file is not stored on the blockchain.

This allows a user to later verify that a matching SHA-256 digest existed no later than the confirming VargaMesh block.

VargaProof is a technical proof-of-existence mechanism.

It does not by itself prove authorship, ownership or the truth of the underlying document.

Public Testnet v1

The VargaMesh Public Testnet is a completely separate development network intended for:

• wallet development
• node testing
• mining integration
• exchange/integration testing
• API development
• third-party software development

tVMESH has no monetary value.

⛏ VARGAMESH HOME MINING IS LIVE

Mine VMESH with your CPU or GPU — no ASIC required

https://homemining.vargacoin.com/

SHA-256d • PPLNS • CPU / GPU • 0% Pool Fee • No Registration

What is VargaMesh Home Mining?

VargaMesh Home Mining is a separate community mining environment designed specifically for CPU and GPU miners.

Not everyone owns a Bitaxe, WhatsMiner, Antminer or other SHA-256d ASIC.

The idea behind this pool is simple:

Anyone with a normal computer should be able to experiment with VargaMesh mining, submit real shares and participate in the network.

The pool therefore uses a mining setup intended for much lower-hashrate devices than the normal VMESH ASIC mining infrastructure.

No account or registration is required.

All you need is:

• A VMESH address
• A compatible SHA-256d CPU or GPU miner
• An Internet connection

Username: YOUR_VMESH_ADDRESS.worker
Password: x

Example:

Code:
-o stratum+tcp://homemining.vargacoin.com:3940
-u vm1YOUR_VMESH_ADDRESS.MyPC
-p x

CPU Mining

Yes — VMESH can be mined from this pool using a normal CPU.

For example, a SHA-256d compatible CPU miner can connect directly to the Home Mining Stratum server.

A simple Windows CPU-miner example is available directly from the Home Mining website.

You can choose how many CPU threads you want to use.

This means you do not necessarily need to run your CPU at 100%.

For example, you can dedicate only a few CPU cores to VMESH while continuing to use the computer normally.

This is intended primarily for experimentation, learning and community mining.

SHA-256d is an algorithm where dedicated ASIC hardware is dramatically faster than general-purpose CPUs.

VargaMesh Home Mining does not change that fact.

GPU Mining

GPU miners can also connect to the dedicated Home Mining pool using compatible SHA-256d software.

A Windows BFGMiner example configuration is available from:

https://homemining.vargacoin.com/

The pool is deliberately separated from the primary VMESH ASIC mining infrastructure so that lower-hashrate mining can be operated as its own community environment.

Important:

GPU mining SHA-256d should not be confused with modern GPU-oriented algorithms.

Modern SHA-256d ASICs are many orders of magnitude faster and more energy-efficient.

The purpose of VargaMesh Home Mining is therefore accessibility and experimentation, not a claim that CPU/GPU SHA-256d mining will outperform ASIC hardware.

Why a Separate Home Mining Pool?

The normal VargaMesh mining infrastructure also supports dedicated SHA-256d ASIC hardware.

But putting a small CPU miner and a multi-TH/s ASIC into exactly the same mining environment is not particularly useful for the home-mining experience.

VargaMesh Home Mining therefore provides a dedicated entry point for lower-hashrate hardware.

The goal is to make it possible to:

• Learn how Stratum mining works
• Mine using an existing desktop PC
• Experiment with SHA-256d
• See accepted shares from CPU/GPU hardware
• Monitor workers and hashrate
• Receive VMESH through PPLNS mining
• Participate without creating an account
• Start without purchasing specialized hardware

Which VargaMesh Pool Should I Use?

CPU / GPU:

Code:
homemining.vargacoin.com:3940

→ Dedicated VargaMesh Home Mining pool
→ PPLNS
→ Low-hashrate / CPU / GPU environment
→ 0% pool fee

Bitaxe / Antminer / WhatsMiner / Avalon / other SHA-256d ASIC:

Use the normal VargaMesh mining infrastructure instead:

https://vargacoin.com/mining.html

Want Bitcoin SOLO + VMESH AuxPoW at the same time with your ASIC?

Use the BTC + VMESH Merged SOLO pool:

Code:
stratum+tcp://mergedsolo.vargacoin.com:3950

Username:

Code:
YOUR_BITCOIN_ADDRESS

Password:

Code:
YOUR_VMESH_ADDRESS

The Home Mining pool is intentionally aimed at CPU/GPU miners — not high-hashrate ASIC hardware.

Live Pool Interface

The Home Mining portal provides public statistics without requiring an account.

Available pages include:

• Pool statistics
• Worker statistics
• Payments
• API
• Getting Started guide
• CPU Miner example
• GPU / BFGMiner example

Open the pool:

https://homemining.vargacoin.com/

A Small Home-Mining Experiment

This part of VargaMesh is intentionally a little different from large commercial mining pools.

You do not need a warehouse full of ASICs.

You can connect an old desktop, a gaming PC, a workstation or simply a few CPU cores and see how real SHA-256d mining works.

Will a CPU compete with a modern ASIC?

No.

Can a CPU or GPU submit real shares and participate in the VargaMesh Home Mining pool?

Yes.

That is exactly what this project is for.

Try It

If anyone here still has an old SHA-256d CPU/GPU miner, BFGMiner setup, gaming PC or spare machine:

give it a try.

I would especially be interested in seeing results from different hardware.

If you test it, feel free to post:

• CPU / GPU model
• Mining software
• Number of threads
• Hashrate
• Accepted share rate
• Operating system

Screenshots and test results are welcome.

VargaMesh Home Mining

CPU • GPU • SHA-256d • PPLNS • 0% Fee • No Registration

VargaMesh Android Wallet v0.3.0 Released

BIP39 Recovery • HD Wallets • Encrypted Backups • Desktop & Web Wallet Compatibility

The new VargaMesh Android Wallet v0.3.0 is now available.

This release is a major wallet update and brings the Android wallet in line with the VargaMesh Desktop Wallet and Web Wallet, especially regarding wallet recovery, HD wallet support and secure backups.

The new recovery system is now available across the VargaMesh wallet ecosystem:

  • Android Wallet
  • Desktop Wallet
  • Web Wallet

Users can now use modern BIP39 recovery phrases and deterministic HD wallet derivation instead of relying only on individual private-key/WIF backups.

What's new in Android Wallet v0.3.0

BIP39 Recovery Phrase support

  • Create wallets using 12 or 24 recovery words
  • Restore a wallet using its recovery phrase
  • Recovery-wallet functionality is now also available in the VargaMesh Desktop and Web Wallets

BIP32 HD Wallet support

VargaMesh uses the following standard derivation path:

Code:
m/84'/22093'/0'/0/0

This provides deterministic wallet recovery from the same recovery phrase.

Encrypted HD wallet storage

  • Recovery phrases are stored encrypted locally
  • AES-256-GCM encryption
  • PBKDF2-HMAC-SHA256 key derivation

Encrypted JSON wallet backups

  • Export your wallet as an encrypted .json backup
  • Restore the wallet later using the backup file and the correct wallet password
  • Provides an additional backup option alongside the BIP39 recovery phrase

Legacy wallet compatibility

  • Existing v0.2.x Android wallets continue to work
  • Existing users do not need to recreate their wallet
  • WIF/private-key import remains supported
  • Legacy wallets can continue to operate as before

Improved recovery controls

  • View your recovery phrase after entering the wallet password
  • Copy recovery words when required
  • Improved handling of sensitive clipboard data

Improved wallet security

  • Sensitive wallet data remains on the user's device
  • Transactions continue to be signed locally
  • Android cloud backup remains disabled for wallet secrets
  • Private keys and recovery phrases are never required by the VargaMesh network

Improved stability and performance

  • Heavy cryptographic operations are now processed outside the main UI thread
  • Improved error handling during wallet creation and recovery
  • Updated Android cryptographic and runtime dependencies
  • Additional release-build and packaging fixes

Unified recovery across VargaMesh wallets

The same modern wallet-recovery concept has now also been introduced into the VargaMesh Desktop Wallet and VargaMesh Web Wallet.

This means the VargaMesh wallet ecosystem now supports:

  • BIP39 recovery phrases
  • BIP32 hierarchical deterministic wallets
  • VargaMesh HD derivation path
  • Encrypted wallet backups
  • Legacy WIF/private-key compatibility

The goal is to provide users with a consistent recovery and backup experience across Android, Desktop and Web.

Existing Android users

You do not need to recreate your existing wallet.

Older Android wallets remain compatible with v0.3.0.

Existing legacy wallets can continue using their current private-key/WIF-based wallet, while newly created Recovery Wallets can use the new BIP39 recovery phrase system.

Important backup reminder

For a new Recovery Wallet, securely store your 12/24-word recovery phrase offline.

For an encrypted JSON backup you need:

Code:
Encrypted backup file
+
Correct wallet password

Never share any of the following with anyone:

  • Recovery phrase / seed words
  • Private key
  • WIF
  • Wallet password
  • Encrypted wallet backup file

Anyone who obtains your recovery phrase or private key may be able to control the associated funds.
