One of the biggest problems with the get rich quick mindset it makes people focus more on the results and outcomes rather than the actual process that produces the outcome. I like the example you gave OP,  because  the fact that someone is doing the right thing isn't a guarantee that they will get a good result.
Sometimes there are things that maybe beyond ones control. You may have a good plan , and along the way something may just crop up to derail the plans. I see this as part of life.
There will always be obstacle in achieving something great and how we respond to this obstacle will determine our outcome.This is also applicable in bitcoin investment, having a good plan after making research doesn't mean the market will turn out the way we want it .

Everything cannot go down the way you want it because you cannot control nature and things around you which is the reason why you don't need to get fustrated after putting all your best in a project and you get disappointed.
