I got this PM from a newbie,
ElectrumwalletTeamAssist, and it causes me to suspect he's trying to pose as a representative of the official Electrum team. He's not. The subject shares similarity with the title of a
thread pinned in the Electrum board, and the username itself is an obvious attempt to mislead those who may not know any better. The official representatives of Electrum on the forum are
ThomasV and
ghost43.
We have seen numerous attempts like this in the past years, especially when we are in a disoriented state like this. Every petty thief wants to take advantage of the recent hacks and we all need to be careful. You wouldn't fall for something like this, neither would I but I get it, that's exactly the point of making this post and leaving a tag on that moron.
Hundreds, millions of people's money have been stolen allegedly and the exchange/ casino involved have only given a feedback that assures the protection of the leftover. Years of hard work has been lost. The scars are still fresh and then another shows up with this. I wonder how many people they have reached out to already.
