Hype is more about new things like shitcoins, and more about low quality projects that want to shill theirs to attract capital from the community. Hype appears, comes and goes away then true value will be shown and with shitcoins, there are no values, prices will drop to $0.

Bitcoin is different, it has a long history as well as strong survival existence since 2009, and Bitcoin has pass through most challenging earliest years in its history. Bitcoin actually no longer needs hype to have and increase its adoption, which will become bigger with time and mostly done by community very naturally.

Multisig scripts and wallets can be used by everyone, and are not like privileges of governments, institutions or whales.

The newest use case for bitcoin has been happening already (I called it newest because bitcoin has no biggest event, after this another will take place so it’s just newest and not biggest) here on this board we’ve seen threads about loan and bitcoin collateral which people consider a good idea but I personally disagree agree with that as it’s going to compromise your privacy (if only people do care) by giving out a certain percentage of your investment as collateral is absolutely giving the total value to the public as estimation can be made on how much bitcoin you own by the percentage you put as collateral for stablecoin or fiat.

Perhaps. But you can t just be comparing bitcoin the the dollar or any fiat, they are fundamentally different it's like saying my land is money do it's the same thing as my local currency.
Look at gold for instance, look back at our history, it was money, yes, but it was also a precious metal used for ornamental purposes so if someone who doesn't know about it's value as as a luxury metal asks for it's use outside of buying and selling it will be wrong for you to just say gold is gold (money is money).

What did you mean as payment? Bitcoin can be used for paying for goods and services and it can be transferred to anyone you want to transfer it to so far you have the amount of bitcoin the person is expecting to receive.

If you mean staking, bitcoin is using PoW algorithm. So that is not possible with bitcoin. You can stake those altcoins that are pegged to bitcoin price.

Biggest use case for Bitcoin beyond holding will be hodling. Bitcoin is not the optimal choice for massive transactions because its block size limits us and its confirmation time on average is one block per 10 minutes, so, it's not really the best crypto currency for making transactions with its current form and Bitcoin developers are so conservative that I don't think it's gonna change.
Bitcoin is truly the only really decentralized currency in the world because we don't know its creator and will never know, so, that makes Bitcoin a good option to be a digital gold, i.e. the best currency for holding.

If you mean staking, bitcoin is using PoW algorithm. So that is not possible with bitcoin. You can stake those altcoins that are pegged to bitcoin price.

It's possible OP refer to staking approach that lock your own Bitcoin with locktime for certain duration. When it's locked, you may get altcoin as reward or voting right on certain altcoin network. But the APY rate is very low (below 1%) on platform such as Babylon, so it's not even worth to consider, unless you own tons of Bitcoin.

Bitcoin was created as a digital peer-to-peer means of transaction, although it became very valuable that required holding which is very necessary so asides that the biggest use case would been Bitcoin used as a mean of transaction cause Bitcoin is still money.

Even though people use it for self sovereignty storage, inflation hedge or store of value they all revolve around holding it therefore holding Bitcoin would forever remain the best option.

Over time the various uses of Bitcoin will continue to grow. And for me the most common use case outside of Bitcoin holding is payment and global settlement. I want any section related to Bitcoin in the future not to be weak, but to benefit more through Bitcoin integration. It could be in payment or liabilities or steps to take loans against Bitcoin. And the main basis for Bitcoin adoption in the future may be that people will use it naturally like fiat currency, without considering Bitcoin as a risky and negative related currency, but will be quite aware of Bitcoin fundamental policies.

Well Bitcoin has never been known for being hyped. The only hype that Bitcoin gets itself is that it will forever be the first cryptocurrency. I know what others may say, like its features and its use but saying those stuff in a way that can get other folks interested is hype. But the truth about Bitcoin since its early discovery or early stage, Bitcoin has continued to push on while proving all those who criticise it to be wrong. Best to say when it comes to hype, it's not about what a cryptocurrency offers, but about its reputation, values, and the trust that people put into it......

That said for me Bitcoin has different features so if you talked about what will make Bitcoin even more valuable, then that would be up to its users because Bitcoin isn't used for one particular thing so it all depends on what you choose to use it for.........

This is not entirely true.
"Hype" doesn't necessarily mean the project is low quality or a shitcoin.
There is hype around Bitcoin. The question is, is it worth the hype? Does it offer anything aside from the hype?
There is so much hype around Bitcoin, Trump used it to campaign. There are other politicians that have used Bitcoin to campaign. If there was no hype around it, they wouldn't use it. I believe the hype has even died down a little because there was a period where it was like if you don't know about Bitcoin, then you're not cool. That is hype. The difference between the hype of Bitcoin and shitcoins is that aside the hype, Bitcoin actually has something to offer, it is a unique creation, while those other projects are nothing with hype.

So far, however, this doesn't seem to reflect the reality. Out of the 20 million coins in circulation and after several years since the Lightning network went live, there's still only a few thousands of coins locked in channels today.

Having said that, I think the biggest use-case for Bitcoin beyond simply holding it is moving huge value in cross-border peer-to-peer transfers, not retail payments off-chain.

I believe Bitcoin is heavily used today to move big amounts of money across countries, avoiding powerful middlemen that charge high fees and could even freeze transactions and seize funds.

Bitcoin is still new and what we need is time for the world to generally understand what bitcoin is, with the time people becomes that comfortable with bitcoin the more we see them delving into bitcoin for investment or as a payment tools it was already for.

For now, the first is that it should be used as a decentralized payment system. And all the countries that are going to decide to use Bitcoin as a reserve to make strategies should recognize Bitcoin as their strategic reserve. And in the future, different countries of the world should accept Bitcoin as a strategic reserve.

There is some truth to this, but we should also not forget that many people in underdeveloped countries use Bitcoin as a currency because it is their only option since they do not have a bank account. The general impression is that Bitcoin is digital gold, but it is much more than that for those who know how to recognize its potential.

BTC as collateral for borrowing without selling. That’s the use case that actually changes behavior for holders. Lightning payments are next, but most “BTC DeFi/staking” right now is still wrapped, bridged, or federated with extra trust assumptions. Not really native yet.
