People likes reading articles online but never gambling and casino articles, you will be lucky if they read four lines before they quit, there is nothing to talk about in gambling articles, most of the times it's all lies been cooked up.

No one even trust reviews anymore because you can easily buy a high ranking reviews this days so people already found that out and that's why they don't trust articles and reviews anymore.

No, I don't read long term form articles specially for gambling sites. I mean gamblers is not built on that, LOL. We just want straight forward articles and it's about the gaming platform itself and games are being offered.

And after that, we gamblers might want to try it for the sake of experience. It's not that we are swayed by the positive reviews or articles, but we want to have the first hand feel on what this platform is, specially if it is a new one.
Except for gamblers who takes it as a job I believe that the majority of us wants do a quick analysis and place our bets so long form articles are like too much work for something that you're not even sure that you're going to make profit from after all the efforts. Besides there are too many things to read online and IMO the shorter and straight to the point an article is the better chances of readers not scrolling past it. Even during the process of registering in a casino I'm sure that majority of gamblers don't even read beyond a few lines before clicking "accept" which shows how a lot of people ignore long texts.

Considering that nowadays, most young people have very actively developed clip-based thinking, one should not even hope that someone will sit through a thirty-minute video. I doubt people will carefully read something that could be consumed in a quick video. Similarly, if we talk about those who still know how to read and are reading, then most likely most of the information on the sites will be copied works from AI. I say this as someone who reads regularly and enjoys reading this forum but has difficulty reading other information on other sites, seeing the dry speech of an artificial intelligence, which, to tell the truth, makes you feel sick.

Personally, I don't like reading long articles that are not very important. Especially those that claim to be indepth analysis of a brand or product because they are really SEO-friendly content and they know very well that 100% of people don't read the entire article properly. To me, such articles are like manuals for electronic devices that no one opens. Another thing is that I have serious doubts about the credibility of such analyses. For this information, genuine user reviews and basic information are the most important.

To be honest, nowadays people don't like reading much longer article about a gambling site because they feels it is too bulky or either wasting their time. They want an concise information that strictly speak about the gambling site and things that are involved, this is the reason why many people find it difficult to cope with gambling rules and regulation and many people often fall victim of some gambling site.
I can relate to the last point you made. I think they understood the shift in focus and the stress of reading a wall of text, which is why they made it compulsory to scroll all the way down and tick a few boxes that states "having read our terms and conditions, i hereby accept to comply" kind of notice before an account is registered. Social media is a full-time job nowadays and people find it very boring to read articles.  If they know these already, threads like this shouldn't be discussed unless it's a pool for voting.

That being said, some would still love to read.

Do you actually read long-form articles on gambling or iGaming websites?

Yes, I do read long-form article proved the article does not contain repeated words, and each paragraph has to be arranged in the right manner so that it doesn't look like a wall of text.

What kind of content makes sense in that format for you: deeper brand and product analysis, research and statistics, technology and market trends, interviews, company history — or do you think most users would rather stick to short news and reviews?

Personally, I like articles that contain pictorial diagrams. It explains more of the writeup, and I easily relate to them through imagination.

I have to admit, it's no for me. But that's not because text is long or indepth and i prefer shorter versions.
Reason is that i couldn't trust that they wouldn't have been done with AI or that they wouldn't be paid shilling.

That doesn't mean there's no market for something like this. Because trust and respect takes time.

If i knew that there was a site with team of real writers / experts and researchers that i could trust in and they would provide interesting content. I would totally redirect people in there to find reliable information about reputation or insights. I was recently looking for list of reviews of casinos located in EEA, and i didn't find anything i could trust.

When i can't even trust a casino that they are telling the truth about their location (which i need for tax purposes), i really doubt that review sites would have more motive to do deeper research about it.

Where do you personally draw the line between a genuinely useful in-depth article and just another SEO article written mainly for search engines?
That is the part I’m trying to understand before putting more effort into expanding this section.

Casinos and businesses should learn to have short write ups as reviews because this time around it is looking like most people are on the fast lane and trying to meet up with daily engagement and money. So to use minutes to read up reviews because you what to have such knowledge or gamble in that casino may not be easy. Most people will just concentrate on proven and reputable casinos. Even the aspect of videos these days, they should be short. Having a video of 30 or 40 seconds can pass the message widely because someone can decide to post such videos that they like on their WhatsApp status and that helps.

The twist is, perhaps people can be paid if they read reviews and videos depending on their length because I hear some online jobs exist like that where you watch company's videos and get paid.

Or they just want to play for fun, your view seems quite short-sighted to me.
Let's give another example that in my opinion fits perfectly, when sometimes you go to the cinema to see a film you have to put up with the advertisements and this makes you very angry.
Reading policies that are long is annoying.

I rarely read those types of posts because it's usually stuff that's already been shared, but if the topic piques my curiosity (VPNs, Sportsbooks, Rewards, etc.), then i'll give it a chance.

I'm more willing to read through a whole page when it's in short format, like some of the blog posts I see in casinos.

Where do you personally draw the line between a genuinely useful in-depth article and just another SEO article written mainly for search engines?
That is the part I’m trying to understand before putting more effort into expanding this section.
I don't mind if it's for search engines, but I usually draw the line when it's starting to feel like a chore to read.

I think you could get away with both if you can improve because i've read longer formats on other sites and reading can be a breeze once you know the sweet spot.

Naturally, no one wants to read through necessary rules and terms and conditions whether for a casino or any other establishment. The same applies to various articles it is likely not just a matter of laziness on the part of players, but rather the fact that everyone has limited time, especially when balancing family and work commitments. Consequently, our brains crave information that has been distilled down to the essentials the bottom line. Content needs to be concise faced with a wall of text, our immediate impulse is to close it or skip past it as quickly as possible such is the nature of modern life.

Not my thing I guess, unless it's a novel type of game to maximize something or to explain it to newbies, but it's still gambling tbh. Nothing change even if you read them and I'll be sure only a few weird ones will probably read it until the end or just skim on the page/s. Short news and reviews is worth it nowadays considering a lot has short attention span especially if we're talking about gambling.

Some time ago, we had a discussion here about whether gambling-related websites really need a separate news section. It turned into a pretty active thread, and opinions were mixed: some people care about fresh updates, while others mainly want reviews and the basic information they need.
Previous discussion about the news section:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5594813.0;all

Now I want to ask about something a bit different — long-form articles and more in-depth content.
The articles section on LuckAtlas has actually been there almost since the site launched. At first, I treated it more as a secondary section and only published there from time to time, because most of my attention was going into the site structure, reviews, bonuses, and other parts of the project.
Recently, I decided to take that section more seriously and develop it in a more systematic way. The idea is not just to publish short pieces to keep the section active, but to create more detailed articles where a topic can actually be explained properly, with enough context, facts, and detail that would not fit into a normal review or a short news post.
Articles section:
https://luckatlas.com/en/articles/

So I’m genuinely interested in how people here see this kind of content.
Do you actually read long-form articles on gambling or iGaming websites?
What kind of content makes sense in that format for you: deeper brand and product analysis, research and statistics, technology and market trends, interviews, company history — or do you think most users would rather stick to short news and reviews?
And there is another question I’m especially interested in:
Where do you personally draw the line between a genuinely useful in-depth article and just another SEO article written mainly for search engines?
That is the part I’m trying to understand before putting more effort into expanding this section.

Well, some people read the long article which are written by some poorly content people and some of it are not educative enough so I don't rely on them, nor the reviews moreso I prefer reading the news feeds. Some of us don't even have that luxury of time to start reading reviews and news feed after a hectic day and wants to have some fun to ease themselves, they just go ahead and play to have a little fun for themselves.

I think casinos should have a way to shorten their reviews so as to make people have interest in reading them except it's a platform that pays people for just watching and reading their articles online which is very common this days. Some people are just too lazy to even look at the articles and read, they are just out to play and have fun. Personally, once I see a long article that's not important to me I just flip through without reading so shortening it will be more easy and interesting to read.

As for me, I don't like to read long articles claiming to offer deep brand and product analysis. It seems they're articles written purely for SEO purposes. I don't even believe those who write them really know and understand what they're talking about. They probably didn't even try the services themselves. Perhaps many of such articles are coming from poorly paid content writers from faraway countries.

Even review sites are obviously just promoting affiliate links.

I'd rather focus on actual user reviews and short feedbacks, especially on forums and discussion sites.
If the review is not coming from someone who has actually used the casino then there is no way I'm going to even bother with reading it, there are paid reviews now, someone even posted about a service they were offering here on bitcointalk, you pay them and they give you product/service good reviews (I don't think it ended very well for them).
Infact it a find out that you are paying for false good reviews (people can pay for you to review their site and stuff, just like review campaigns as long as you are writing true and not just lying to make them look good) then I'm not even going to want to use your service.

Op should be able to understand what gamblers want. They search for or visit review sites to get reviews or ratings of a casino. I don't know if gamblers nowadays find it important to get such information. But long articles are clearly not appealing to gamblers. Of course, there will certainly be those interested in reading, but I am convinced that more gamblers will ignore it. Many gamblers will trust the words of friends based on their experiences at the casino more than reading long articles.

So I’m genuinely interested in how people here see this kind of content.
Do you actually read long-form articles on gambling or iGaming websites?
No, a ver long article looks like an essay is always becoming a terrible thing, and it's no longer relevant to be used for the marketing purpose these days.
What kind of content makes sense in that format for you: deeper brand and product analysis, research and statistics, technology and market trends, interviews, company history — or do you think most users would rather stick to short news and reviews?
A social proof from organic user is always preferable these days. So it must be a honest review from organic users.
And there is another question I’m especially interested in:
Where do you personally draw the line between a genuinely useful in-depth article and just another SEO article written mainly for search engines?
That is the part I’m trying to understand before putting more effort into expanding this section.
I'm so sorry but most of people generalize gambling review article as paid article. So you just need to stick to the other creative idea for this.

It is not just matter of laziness, value people place on their time is what matter more here. There is just too much info around these days, so people naturally choose content they can read quickly and immediately understand the main point. This is especially true for gamblers who come to a casino to have some fun, not to spend half an hour reading an article or several pages of terms and conditions.

Long-form content itself isn't problem. It becomes problem when writer take something simple and drag it out way longer than necessary just for SEO, ads or extra content.

I would go with the pool for voting because of something like this instead of wanting people to give their views. Of course, when registering a new gambling site one must fully go through those processes to accept it correctly that they are abiding to the rules and regulations, of course I am also a victim of this, thus this makes me to stop jumping from different gambling site as there are more works in trying to understand and read the terms of gambling site before one could start making use of them. If the person do not read then I do not they would understand what they are doing, for me I usually being selective at time to read the areas that I know is much important to me, especially for those casinos that often claims to be a no kyc casino. Because most at time when there is a big win they would definitely asked for source of funds in other to prove AML free.

Do gambling sites need long-form articles or are reviews and news enough?
In the world of the gambling business, the main thing that is quite important is building credibility and maintaining user interaction, meaning that every online casino really needs a combination of reviews/news and long articles, both of which are related to each other.

This means that reviews and news about gambling sites, one of the factors that complement each other, be it long articles, reviews and news, situations like this can automatically drive conversions directly and can also be a dynamic gambling site.
