100% agreed! I've also been doing a job for almost 10 years, dealing with constant tension, pressure, and an environment that doesn't suit me.
There is no doubt that a person can survive on a job because it provides a regular monthly income. However, I don't believe that a salary alone can always secure a family's financial future or create wealth for future generations. During Covid-19 pandemic, when many businesses were shut down, government jobs provided financial stability to many families. However, in normal circumstances, I believe that relying on a single source of income can limit the financial growth.
For example, here in Pakistan, even pursuing a PhD while working may not provide much financial benefit in some government departments. The additional allowance might be only PKR 5,000 per month, which may not even recover the cost of the degree before retirement. Similarly, some private employers may reject PhD holders because they are considered as overqualified, PhD graduates primarily find jobs in universities / academic institutions.
In my opinion, having a job alongside a business or another sources of income is a better approach to building financial security. A job can provide stability, while a well-planned business or investment can create opportunities for additional income and long-term growth.
I have also invested in the stock market alongside my job, and those investments have helped me significantly during difficult times. This experience has taught me the importance of diversified income sources rather than relying entirely on a monthly salary.

My first job as a university graduate was on a construction site as a labourer.  I had to work with people who were not at the same academic level as me. I engaged in that job for some time before I was fortunate to get the job I wanted.

One of the reasons for the high rate of crime is pride. People don't want to be humble enough to take jobs that are available. They prefer to engage in scams and other Internet fraud because they don't want to do available but low-paying jobs.
