As far as i know, bitcoin has been what it has been since we have come to know it and rather than thinking that bitcoin is changing, we can agree that the world and her economy is what is changing while bitcoin is just reacting to these change in a way that relates to it. I happen to have seen this image a long ago, I might not have been on this forum then, and it struck me in my mind like I had to do something. Show your villagers those late night motivational reels, and I am sure their minds will change or they will call you a traitor haha.

Sometimes I find these motivational images on social media and they are random to me, but I feel like they are made for me haha. Like they are relatable to my situation and I don't know how I come to see them, but this one I have saved since the first time I saw it, and I was not even a teen then.

I still sometimes visit these groups made for motivation on purpose to get some more motivation, and some points really help, like when we don't know if something is good for us but we are fearful, we are not ready to accept the change, instead we want to stay hidden, we don't want to use our bullets thinking we are outnumbered, that kind of quote helps the most, and we should never be stagnant about anything, even if we are sure or not sure about the outcomes, just do what we like and eventually we start loving it and can even make money out of it.

There are changes in some aspects of bitcoin but not the core functionality of bitcoin, yes we have forks mostly soft forks which have made bitcoin better but for anything like a hard fork to change the core principle of bitcoin? It is good that you draw your inspiration from Bitcoin's growth, however everyone have different beliefs in life, while you are so determined to keep moving forward, it's not everyone that have that same determination, some might have the dream to become something but they lack the self strength to chase after their dreams and because they find comfort in the current place they are, they will choose that stage over being stressed to go higher. The problem here is mindset. People living in urban areas have a different mindset from people in the rural areas. How many people in the rural areas are ready to accept development? In most cases, if you are keen on bringing development to them, they see you as a traitor and assume you want to challenge their tradition.

Introducing bitcoin to them is like bringing development to them but because they are already used to their traditional system, they will assume you want to scam them. They resit development directly or directly because it's different from what they know. If there's anything we need to change, their mindset should be the first target. Once we can change that mindset, we have open their eyes to embrace developments.

You are right because they are more exposed than those that are in rural area, they think to grow beyond the level they are.
Of course there is more competition in the urban area ranging from business and other things, people in the urban area want to do better cause they meet different classes of persons on a daily, the Rural dwellers ideology is the reason why there development in those areas will be the same with that of urban area, infact we can not be making such comparison, unless developers decides to come in.

Failing forward has always been the center of context for people who have got similar line of taught as this. they really do wish that even if they fail, it should be such that doesn't stagnate them, but gives them the motivation to pushing forward and ahead for their own good, even Bitcoin doesn't crash and stays at a point, it rather crashes and then later comes back to proceed or grow beyond the price it was at even before it ever crashed.

In view of your post OP, I personally think change is a constant thing in humans, as we grow we tend to change bur the magnitude of change comes different from a lot of people depending on opportunities available to them. Personally, I think the idea of businesses or Bitcoin being the way to profitable financial change doesn't sit well with me, they are lots of sectors and things people do that gives them better financial opportunities like the content creators, the Engineers and even the medical doctors, does that meant this people to change and grow? So it all boils down to individual choice
