What we see in Bitcoin's historical data are just patterns and experience but sometimes some people mistake that for a guaranteed script for next move forgetting that as adoption grows, activities and events change which in return effect some alterations to previous patterns. It's wrong analysis to assume that next cycle will follow the exact pattern of the previous, yes we know there'll be moment of uniformity in patterns but as activities change, there must be differences.

So while trying to predict every move using the analysis of past cycles, also try and develop enough patience and discipline to survive the unexpected.
Aside from the use of bitcoin historical data there would be nothing to guide our analysis with for speculative futuristic outcome, still on still, it doesn't mean it's something we can guarantee on but just like a compass the historical data guides the analysis.  Yes, there has being much development in the bitcoin ecosystem and then the changes in regulatory policies by the authority has also brings about certain dynamics in every new cycle but historical data can never be ignored as they help add clear view on a long term future speculation of bitcoin for the bitcoin investor even while expecting some unforeseen winds along the way.

The only data we have when it comes to volatile asset market like bitcoin is historical data. Everyone is depending on historical data to make analysis and give their speculation of the  future price of bitcoin. Nobody knows the future to know precisely what bitcoin price would be, whether you're trading or investing, use funds that doesn't scare you to use and bury that greed and impatient so you don't hit a rock bottom before you practically start.
-cut-
This is true about all technical analysis, even though with the 4 year cycle bitcoin somewhat relies on the halving being part of fundamental analysis.

And if there's a time in the future, when bitcoin won't break the next ATH within 4 year cycle, we shall be in even more uncharted waters. At such time, i wouldn't trust ANY predictions.

The journey to wealth creation is boring and long, in most times it takes over and over again with years of consistency to get to your plan target. Don't be deceived by anyone who comes to you and start blabbing about how good they know the market and what could happen next. If they know the market future and are good as they claim to be, why then are they not floating on wealth due to constant massive profits.
I agree, nobody can predict the market with complete accuracy. Historical data helps, but things can always change. I think the most important thing is to have a plan, manage your risk, and avoid making decisions based on greed or fear.
