I stumbled on this news about the SEC charging multiple entities for fraud schemes.

how much they scammed : $15 million
where they looked for victims : social media (Facebook, WhatsApp, etc)..

So this company Cryptoaiml and TSAI Pro with their related entities are into this. I remember i read a lot of posts about AI trading, so i thought maybe i will share it here to warn people who might fall victim to them.  so these guys ( scammers ) are looking for people in social media who are willing to invest and trade using AI > i dont know how they market it but AI trading looks very enticing to those who are not so mature when it comes to trading. i mean some would just use other services to make easy money as these companies promise good returns, though they are not totally called a Ponzi scheme but hmmm.. still scammers.

And another thing they faked their SEC certificate, and of course anyone who would see that and would not do due diligence will believe that they are legit and since it has to do with a registered company with the SEC in the US, they got confident. of course if its in PH it would be so easy to get SEC  but anyway its not about them i just did some side writing ( just cant help comparing it).

just be careful brothers and friends. ( though i check their domains and not existing the investment/trading site now)

Too bad people falling to AI trading buzzword, i believe that 99% of AI trading out there are simply buzzword and ponzi scheme. Nothing AI involved in there just scammers behind the desk selling empty promise and high nonsense yield to attract gullible people. If i can tell anyone out there that AI trading are mostly scams and even if the AI trading is real, the win rate won't give guaranteed yield, I would. My experience building my own AI trading bot, the cost of API for price feed and tokens already emptied my wallet and the AI don't even make profit let alone promising consistent 30% weekly yield that these AI trading scam usually promise, that's annualized 1,560% simple interest and 84149938.68% annualized interest if compounded from the compound interest calculator, not even Warren Buffett could pull this off.

What I like about it is that as the new accounts are bringing the AI offers, people are warned that it could be a scam. It is either it is like the ponzi style, no reward at all scam or malware hack. Some will tell you to download a software which will be used, but the software will contain malware. I have read about both before while the malware one has been common like the investment one.

In this case there's no malware involved, it's purely luring investors or traders to sign up on their websites, or online platform they will deposit funds there and were told they were renting an AI trading bot to trade on behalf of them. So basically, you are allowing a bot to work for you, but that bot actually isn't working because it's designed to take your money. 

Malware is another case, not in this report.

I cannot do it all by myself, I needed assistance or someone to help me out with trading, can I make use of AI bot system to trade for me, these are the consequences to confusionist like this, AI cannot deliver 100% for you in Trading so no days that you cannot entrust your 100% ability on them to trade, you can't confine that same trust with yourself to trade and be profitable, why should AI that was built by an ordinary human being should also be reliable to trade with perfection for you, scammers will continue to take advantage of people as long as they don't know what they really wanted or identify their own potential to trade.

If anyone (beginner or old traders) actually wants to use AI for their trading, they can use the AI that have been added to some reputable centralized exchange instead of using any randome AI they find online. Since 2024 till date, there have been 100s of AI bot trading apps ads that boom on all the social media apps i used and a lot of them don't advertise again probably because they have successfully scammed most people and closed the app or rebranded with a new name to scam more people.  It is so risky to trust any trading bot now,  especially new ones that have not last for long and don't have a solid reputation.

Trading is not simply, even with AI, so it's best for someone who have interest in trading to just calm down and learn how to trade on their own instead of trusting AI.

AI trading scams are not new. I see them a lot on social media, and I honestly feel sorry for people who fall for them. You often see these so called AI traders claiming to make millions from an AI bot they created to help people trade. The tricky part is that scammers can fake documents, create AI-generated videos of real influencers, and use other methods to make their scams look convincing.Everything can look so real that, if you're not careful, you may even start doubting yourself about whether it is actually a scam or not. Don't fall for it. Always be careful and do your own research before trusting anyone with your money. The problem is that many people are too quick to believe things that look convincing, especially when they are promised easy money.

It absurd to see people trying to make profit from trading without learning it on their own. Why will you send money to someone you met on the internet or a service that claims they can help you trade with a bot and make profit for you. If it's true, why haven't they made billions for themselves and they're looking for gullible people to take the little they have. Greed is always what makes people fall for all these trading scam or anything scam.

Imagine in the other thread, the scammers took their time to teach these people who are looking of how to make money quick from trading, how to build a trading bot with fake codes that ended up taking any amount they deposit in the bot to the scammers.

The main characteristic is by trying to look legitimate by claiming SEC approved them. After getting exposed in this forum, they even went to an extent of issuing Theymos false DMCA takedowns:

I use Facebook more as a social media, this AI bot trade has been visible to me many times. Although I do not pay attention to these because they are baseless and ineffective (fraudulent). I do not remember, whether the organisations you mentioned were these. In my opinion, these are marketed through paid ads. Which is presented before social media users. The funny thing is, those who create this content, they essentially claim these AI bots as personal Development.

Yes, the desire for profit without hard work is unhealthy and it is important to be cautious. Because scammers become powerful and return in different forms repeatedly. But there is no change among greedy individuals because they are not willing to learn trading through hard work.

The bot did not even exist, and they were like running a Ponzi scheme by saying there is a bot and it is using your money to invest.

AI has done more damage, but still, it is a phase that less smart people have to bear because they are the most vulnerable. Any platform that promises returns is a red flag in my sight bro, so I never take them seriously.

These AI bots are not so different. We can create our own, but they are sold in a way on social media that people with some money think AI is doing everything now, and AI is smart too, so why not give it a try. Once they buy it, they get scammed not just by not getting what was promised, but by the malicious code it can have to steal funds later, like that Claude AI bot that stole thousands of dollars reported a few days ago.

I've  reported countless of this ads on multiple social medias, it annoys me that  peopel fall for these scams fr.

On most of their ads comment sections, you will notice  they massively run a campaing with comments that doesn’t even correlate in any way with the ads, yet so much real comment fall for this nonsense.  I also don't see why mark allowed ads for whatsapp, it’s a just making it worse , only one sided good for the legit businesses.

It is interesting that that the US government have stepped into the stage to fight this menace of AI trading bot that is making people lose their livelihood at an alarming rate. In my country, no one have been arrested yet thousands of people have fallen victim to this new scam pattern. If $15 million have been scammed in the US, then we should be talking about ten times of that in my country because social media here is littered with such adverts and many people are rushing to make fast money and falling victim.

Am familiar with the investment one more than the malware attack, infact during my early day's those ponzi scheme that offer's such as AI automated bot with promised on fixed profits, this ended in them robbing Paul to pay Peter until the bubble will burst on them.

I only read about the malware attack on customers that download their various scheme app, there was one that was named Genesis mining bot which scamed across many continent few years ago.

There are lots of AI trading bots out there. I am sure customers are easily lured if they see the history of the AI bot; that is why customers are attracted. I don't believe in them, honestly. But in the forex industry on the forum, there are some EA bots that actually work for some people by making a few changes to the bot; they make stable profit. All records are saved in Myfxbook; I never tried them, but I want to know what strategy they use. I think it only works on currency, but it won't work on crypto.

Remember only a few trading bots in crypto that we know, like 3commas, but we should not still trust any of this because if APIs are compromised, your funds aren't safe.

For those who think AI trading is real and people actually make money for it, they're going to fall for it. Because the logic doesn't make sense for these companies. If they have invented a software that can make an AI trade for them, let them trade without sweat and make money for them until they're rich. It's easy to think that way right? but, they're not really making money and all they do is scam people, take their life savings and make them gullible that this is a real thing. It's sad that they will always target people without knowledge of the real scenario of how hard trading is.

You will not blame some of the people that is victim, why people fall a victim of scam is because they're interested with the information they obtained...They're some false information you obtain with fake proof, you will be convinced by scammer, but if you research very well, it's when you will know that the information is not real...The fake document by SEC that's what make the victims to believe...Another important thing we should know is that, in social media trading platforms, almost 85% of what we see online are all fakes..Which i can't fall victim of trading with Ai or trading platforms in social media...people who needs instant money always be victim of such kind..

To be fair they're not the only ones doing that. Some apps that I use started to push ads (especially on channels or groups) months ago. Not sure if the cost to maintain such services are getting more expensive, or they're not satisfied with their existing profits. I can understand tools like notifier pushing for ads to help pay server cost, not for the platform pushing malicious ads itself tho. They clearly don't give a damn about customer safety when they let so many scam ads going around and wait until there are reports before they take them down.

That is a huge amount, it's pity for their money that turns into nothing, due to for several years now, those scammers up to now  investors who believe in them will end into a victim,
as if they don't care if they hurt or make things difficult for them.

I see a lot of people like that on Facebook and to this day they are still promoting their methods, they don't stop until they see someone they can fall victim to.
It's like no different from signal groups.

So it could be AI bot trading, investment scam, romance scam or any other kind of social engineering, but what is consistent is that they promised their victims returns that were too good to be true. This just proves that quite a lot of people cannot help themselves but believe that the industry is a get rich quick scheme and they can make a large amount of money in no time.

Losses go as high as $15m, yet none of these "investors" saw the need to verify the registration of these entities. They just swallowed their claim that they were registered under the SEC, smh. As long as people remain this gullible, scammers would continue to make money off of these schemes, and it is hard to feel sorry for the victims.
