HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY TO MY FELLOW NIGERIANS!

@Obim34, you have done a wonderful job again by bringing this second edition of the art contest to the great people of Nigeria and the entire forum. Artwork is not an easy task, and I see those who take it as their profession as talented people. I respect them a lot.I was a little good at artwork, especially drawing, during my college days. However, due to the fact that it is not that marketable in our country, I decided not to focus on it more.

When I first saw this second edition, I didn't want to participate, but the work of some members encouraged me to do so. Seriously, it was not easy because it took me almost the whole day to think of what to come up with. Artwork is difficult, but I still managed to come up with this.

The materials used for the work are a pencil, an eraser, and a green coloured pencil

Happy Independence Day Nigeria 🇳🇬

My entry portrays Nigeria as a nation bearing the unique identity of its history, cultural diversity and its people. The Flag and map depicts our identity as a nation while people reflect the different communities that make up our beloved country.
The rural homes, river Niger and oil infrastructure represent some of the different aspects of our country and the rising sun symbolises hope for a brighter future.

I used pencil and coloured crayons to produce this drawing. Not perfect but my little effort at bringing the different symbols together to tell one story: Nigeria is our shared home, and its future belongs to all of us.

Happy Independence, my fellow Nigerians! 🇳🇬💚

Nigeria @ 66: Our History, Our Root, Our Strength

A very big shoutout to @Obim34 for organizing yet another Independence Day celebration contest, I remember last year I wasn’t able to participate.

This year I was keen to participating in the contest that’s why I spent close to 12 hours creating a Digital Collage in Canva for my entry.

This collage celebrates Nigeria’s 66 years of independence by sharing our stories through history and our progress and identity we’ve build so far..

Storyline about independence

One day a Nigerian Newbie Bitcointalker once asked for independence, so he then announced….

“ He then said today, I want independents??….I am so tired of depending on other members to grow. Now I want to stand on my own to grow by myself…

Another member then asked him “wow this is a great news!!! Then he asked the newbie so what your plans on growing…???

Now the newbie replied saying First, I want to become a Full member, earn as much as good numbers of merits, and then join a good signature campaign and then finally become independent!!!

Another Legendary member then over heard him and then asked, Hey, my friend do you even understand the word independence???

Then the newbie answered “of course” bro it means nobody can control me again…!!!

The Legendary member just smiled and asked again “ Then why are you still refreshing your profile every five minutes to check whether somebody has sent you merits??🤣😅

Of course the newbie went silent for some minutes before responding….

Then the newbie shouted at the top of his voice and said “Sir Do you know that Nigeria gained what we called Independence in 1960 but my own independence is still waiting for merits confirmation “🤣🤣😅

A very big shoutout to @Obim34 for organizing yet another contest such as this…

Moral lesson of this storyWhether in a nation or in Bitcointalk, growth takes patience, responsibility and efforts…you can’t build Independence by waiting forever for somebody else to give it to you….
