When government is spending without any proper way and they are spending inefficiently then increasing taxes is not a solution. The problem is never about the tax rate itself but about how it is being collected and how it is being managed.
The mismanagement should make them held accountable for it. But guess what? We don't get to see that unless they're scrutinized.
The power and money is on them and the management is also on them. We are taxpayers can't do nothing for it.
But if there are more people who are voicing out the irresponsible spending habits of the government, they'll be called out for it.
And I guess that the shame will start to appear on themselves and will change how their governance doing firstly with management of public taxpayers collected fund.
And even those cases of scrutiny you can ignore. They are just a decoy case to feed some crumbs and satisfy the public while they are more actively concerned with it. I don't mean that the case is false by saying it is a decoy, but they will let some case of corruption and mismanagement actually be dealt with and someone might even go to prison. But the main reason they are doing that is not because they now want to clean up this mismanagement, it is just to appease the public and make them calm. That is the trick that is being used very often.
Also we need to make a difference between two types of mismanagement. One is a result of incompetence of those that are managing or leading, you can see this also in private companies often. This does lead to a loss of money but not in a way that enriches the manager. The other is evil and intentional, it is a targeted stealing of money and using different structures to make it happen. Sometimes they are done in the type called kickbacks. Both things are bad and we have both happening all the time, but the second one is much worse.
