This is very true, and you can access hodlhodl and still have privacy in place while accessing the site. I can also advice people to use such a site. Another thing is that is it very easy to access. It is truly another decentralized exchange according to when I exchanged coin on the site in the past.

Are we talking crypto to crypto swaps or crypto on-ramp and off-ramp. If it is the former, then there are good/reputable NO-KYC instant exchanges in the forum. A few i've used lately is Dex.fo and Sageswap, do your own research before using any of these services. And remember that instant exchanges are custodial platforms, so it is in your best interest not to send a large amount in one go, do it in smaller chunks, even if the platform states they would never ask for KYC from you.

To add on, the exchanges getting listed on those monitoring websites does not guarantee them as trustworthy and safe but those platforms will help someone to make an informed decision to trust a website or not

OP will have to look at a lot of things such as the KYC terms, the reviews, the escrowed security deposits to guarantee some level of safety.

I have missed this update so, they've just dropped that a couple of weeks ago. Damn, many of them are starting to be this strict.

You are correct that they added automatic AML checks mid last month, but they disabled it a day later after they were called out by the bitcoin community. They tried to sugarcoat it as not being a KYC/AML process, but the community were having none of it, as it obviously was, leaving them with no choice but to disable it. Though i'm sure a lot of their customers would have already lost faith in them as a result.
