And at what point can we say a trade is a bad trade even after making us some good profit.
From an objective standpoint read what this trader had to say base on his experience as a trader that has being trading for years just as you. With your own true experiences share your disagreement and agreement with about his idea
There are some who feel bad for themselves because yes they made some buckos, but they didn't follow their plan, and that's fine because like what you said, your rewarding yourself from having a bad behavior or at least not following your rules, and at one point if you continue to do this kind of thing, it will be repeated more, and more, and more, until that bad behavior will turn against you.
If I made profit while following my own strategy and rules, I usually don't see my trades anymore nor not feeling anything as well. Now if I made money but didn't follow my own rules, I don't feel anything as well emotion-wise but instead, I look at that trade and see why I didn't follow my own rules. I look at my mistake and then I will note it to myself and as much as possible, I will not do it again. It works most of the time, but there really are a few times where I just complete ignore it and will just move on even though I know that I didn't follow my own rules.
Is it still a bad trade? Yes, IF it continues to be like that. One trade isn't enough to say it because that's maybe because the trader is just lucky. Doing it for 50-60 trades then there's already a problem that will pop up.
