The regulatory authorities has failed from prioritizing their primary interests in gambling basically to the interest of how to help the public to stay healthy gambling and also fights against casinos or gambling companies that are either not regulated to operating under license just for the safety of the public and gamblers.

As per checking their country has a law for prohibiting playing gambling and its implemented law. So basically even you have a power in the society still no one is above the call and at the first place before they commit that activity is they are already aware the possible risk, sanctions and punishment they will encounter but well still the urge to play gambling overcomes. Is the assistance only applied to them or even family related because of course its different if their family has the capability to bail because of that player is part of the service we know whats the impact of the gambling into emotional behavior.

Personally, after seeing cases and incidents carried out by individuals operating online gambling sites at TNI official residences, it seems that I am fed up with the rules prohibiting gambling, Meanwhile, those who enforce the law, those who operate the online gambling site, are indeed the KONOHA country.

Aside from being chaotic, I describe the world that where we live as "CRUEL" because of things like this being one of them.

This is nothing new. I mean I've seen different personalities here in our country that are getting arrested because of online gambling. Well, it's not like the same as the one in Indonesia, but the point is they're also big names that are getting arrested. This is a bit ironic though because the one who's supposed to protect their own countrymen are also involved in the operation of online gambling. The hypocrisy is at it's peak, and I wonder what will happen to the other people that are involved... or I should ask what will happen to all of them in that department including the highest in authority.

Indonesian government has banned gambling (both physical and online) in their country, but we know that it's not totally being followed. There are still many who are into gambling.

To be honest, i’m not really surprised by incidents like this, perhaps this is just one of many online gambling operations owned by the military or law enforcement officials that have been uncovered, more accurately, we can refer to these perpetrators as rogue individuals.

As far as I know, there were no TNI members acting as gambling operators in that house. If I'm not mistaken, all 11 people were ordinary civilians who rented a service house belonging to a military member. However, the worse part is that the member who rented out the service house was aware of the gambling activities taking place there. Another mistake is that this service house is a facility that is not meant to be rented out. Therefore, the TNI member currently living in the service house has been detained and is undergoing examination. This TNI member is currently being detained and investigated by the military police.

Personally, I do not oppose anyone from gambling. But for a country that prohibits gambling, people in the government, especially those who are paid by the government, should not gamble. I agree  after all, these are the very people who are supposed to enforce the law, not use their positions to protect illegal businesses. These are completely different levels of responsibility.
In my opinion, there's another important issue here - corruption. 
In this case I think,  the most important outcome of this investigation shouldn't just be punishing a few individuals, but proving that the law applies equally to everyone, regardless of their rank, position, or connections.

This is how far greed can push a man in doing crazy thing's that is unimaginable. I might be wrong, but I guess that military officer is part of the gambling operators. I read that a military officer that was detained is  Lt. Col. Arman who is serving in the intelligence unit of the military. If he gave out a military facility for an illegal gambling activity, then he is fully part of it. The military officer might be making so much money from these criminal activities that he was willing to risk his noble profession.

In a country where corruption is common, those found guilty might receive mild punishment or can even be acquitted. In my country, military officials are tried in a special court with different laws. So anything can happen, especially if the judges are corrupt.

There are no detailed reports from my local media yet. The suspicion of involvement could be true because it is still under investigation at this time. But from the news I obtained earlier, there were 11 operators, 6 males and 5 females at the time of the arrest, and the military personnel who rented out the place were not among the operators. Currently, there are two main accusations. First, he knew that civilians rented the place for gambling but did not report it. Second, official housing is not to be rented based on the Ministry of Security Regulation No. 13 of 2018, military official housing is prohibited from being sold, rented, or transferred to outside parties.

Naturally, they seek to amass wealth through illegal means, fully aware at least hypothetically that they might one day be exposed. This TNI officer, a Lieutenant Colonel, has committed many mistakes. First, he misused government housing for rent, as it should only be occupied by active-duty TNI soldiers. Second, he did it intentionally, according to one source I have read. Third, he violated his oath as a soldier by ignoring his commitment to the state. Finally, he tarnished the image of the military. Therefore, I suspect he will face severe punishment soon, and he is currently detained pending further investigation.

I am not particularly surprised to hear this news, as Indonesia still needs significant improvement in all sectors, and cases like this are common knowledge here.

Naturally, it is disheartening that he abused his position and, judging by the news reports, did so without fear of consequences. However, the fact that this has gone public will likely lead to greater scrutiny of officers and similar roles. That said, I realize these cases are notoriously difficult to resolve, as such individuals are rarely investigated or arrested. In any case, the publicity surrounding this matter will ultimately benefit the system, so it is a good thing that such news is coming to light.
