Will you still be holding BTC if the price is fixed like a Stablecoin? Will you buy more to keep for the next generation if price neither increases or decrease, be honest, let me hear your thoughts.
I couldn't say I'd hold it the same way. If the dollar price of Bitcoin were fixed and it remained perfectly flat forever, its main story as an inflation hedge and speculative asset would be entirely gone. It would work the same as fiat money - except it would be decentralized. That's when buying Bitcoin for your grandkids might not make much sense; you'd be better off putting your wealth in assets that actually appreciate (stocks, real estate, business ownership, etc.). And Bitcoin would still have other qualities, like seamless cross-border payments, no banks, etc.

Volatility is what makes Bitcoin's price what it is today. Without volatility, Bitcoin won't be an asset for investment. It would be a stable coin similar to Fiat. For what reason would I want to store it for future purposes? In real estate, the value is not fixed, the same goes for the stock market, natural resources like Gold, Silver and more. Their prices are not fixed, and that's what makes them an asset. If Bitcoin's price value is stagnant, it won't be as much appreciated as it is today. I have banking system problem before I found Bitcoin, I was so unhappy with how banks operates, so let's say that Bitcoin is a stable coin but it has decentralisation like it do right now I will be happy too.
Focus for profits will be on ETH but trust me I would keep holding Bitcoin as a stable coin or my safe space for my money like the banks, Bitcoin have made me realise that Banks no longer have the power to do as they see fit.
Keeping the money on Bitcoin rather than in the bank, if it's a stable coin, demands that expenses be spent using Bitcoin. Think of the cost of fees and if everyone will be willing to accept Bitcoin for payment.

Why come up with such imagination when you know that Bitcoin can never be a stable coin ? It's not possible that Bitcoin will become a stable coin in the future so this kind of discussion does not really contribute anything to Bitcoin and we know that no body will want to hold a stable coin for length of years knowing that inflation will affect it, that already defeats the definition of a profitable investment and since most people are holding Bitcoin to hedge inflation, so if it becomes stable, people will go for better options.

Why buy more BTC for the next generation if prices like stablecoins don't go up and down? It is better that you buy stablecoins only instead of BTC if that is the case. Lol
You don't have that kind of thinking about BTC and stablecoins... people are already talking about decentralized means there is no authority that regulates the price of BTC like fiat, even I do not penya such a thought that where bitcoin will not be the same as you compare.
Bitcoin still has high volatility, high risk, you have to know the history of bitcoin if it has gone up many times, let alone its limited supply... Here you will understand.

Do you know that some people don't trust any stablecoins because they are all centralised ? DAI is decentralised but not well embraced, Bitcoin if stable coin and it's decentralised, people will want to use it as their dollar.

Hypothetically speaking oe typing in this case. There are different types of people on how they see and use BTC. Now if BTC is stable will people still use it? The same reason stable coins are around and people are still using it will be the same reason people will use BTC as a stablecoin.
Let's say you are in a third world country. If you hold for example BTC stable coin relative to the dollar, you will be protecting yourself against inflation. That's one important angle.
Others might use it to stay anonymous from the government, where they can carry out their spending and buying without any link to the government

Your argument makes no sense. If it would be fixed it wouldn't be bitcoin, but something completely different all together. You might as well ask if people would hold DAI. I think what you want to ask is, "would you hold bitcoin if it wasn't so volatile?". Or that "would you hold it if you knew it wouldn't go much higher than this?". Or even better: Would you still USE it? And answer to that is, probably yes. I was using it when i thought it would crashing back in 2014, when i thought it might die. I didn't want to hold it though, which was a mistake in hindsight, and which i learned absolutely nothing from.

Mentioning only the price won't make sense because you get to see that the maximum market capitalization that it will have is only $21M.
So, if you want an honest answer then that it will be no. No sense to hold it if the price is fixed just as a stable coin as an asset.
But for someone who looks to have a reserve while holding it at that fixed price, they will consider holding it.

This is a simple question that I would give a direct answer. No, I won't invest or hodl it and my reason is this... If bitcoin seize to increase and become a stable coin, it will lose its advantage of being a store of value. Like if inflation will eat up the value of the bitcoin that I'm hodling then what is the reason for using or hodling it? It is as good as fiat whose future value is usually reduced with inflation overtime. So instead of hodling it, I would choose to invest it in a physical business so that it can also generate income on that part no matter how small it is rather than being held in stagnation while inflation will keep raising and falling value of purchasing power at the long run. I could instead invest it in buying of land which has more and better prospect for profit with time.

If the price is fixed, then why would people invest their money in Bitcoin? Bitcoin is considered a store of value, the price will increase. If it becomes fixed, then the appreciation that users desire will stop, and no one will put their money in. Similarly, if the price is fixed, there is also no need to store it for future generations. In the beginning, users stored BTC with the hope that its price would rise over time. If it is fixed, then children will only sell it at that price.

A lot of people buy stable coins and they have their reasons why they are holding stable coins. This means if the Bitcoin price becomes a stable coin, people will still buy and hold because there are different reasons why people are buying it, and it is not just about the value it has. People who care about the value may not have an interest in holding Bitcoin, but those who find it interesting beyond the value of Bitcoin would still want to have it.

I can't really envision a scenario where Bitcoin becomes stable, unless it happens via a fork and not all original Bitcoin supporters would like that, myself included. But I would hold onto my Bitcoin if the price stabilized at a level like 1 BTC = 1,000 troy ounces of gold. Lol.

The reason why people are rushing into investing in Bitcoin is because the price is increasing and the could get some profit from it when ever there is bull and this seems to be the most interesting part of Bitcoin. If it price become fixed people will the buy Bitcoin but it won't be at the rate it is today depending on individual, and purpose of investing, I am sure at that point many will buy as a store of value and not for profit making. It may also drop the decentralization purpose of Bitcoin, which means the authority controlling it will have to decide when to sell, how to sell, what price to sell, and who to sell to. This will disqualify the original purpose of Bitcoin and makes no difference from fiat.

If it was a stablecoin, it would mean purchasing power would be decreasing within time, suffering the same effects of inflation our fiat currencies are vulnerable to. Therefore, it would make no sense to hold Bitcoin in that case.
The hypothesis you mentioned is the so called CBDC governments were looking to impose to citizens. The main point of Bitcoin is escaping the rats' race fiat system and banks impose to us, and in order to work that way, it can't be a stablecoin in the sense price is going to be manipulated to always follow the 1:1 ratio compared to its fiat pair.

If Bitcoin's price hadn't risen, even like stablecoins, then I'm sure Bitcoin wouldn't have grown this far. And I'm not sure I would have even known about Bitcoin. That would mean Bitcoin is similar to fiat. Meanwhile, the only fiat accepted in my country is the Rupiah. So, I wouldn't risk my money on another fiat stablecoin if it didn't offer positive returns. This alone is clear. Bitcoin is truly far more developed because of its many positive aspects. It's not just its decentralization and anonymity that are its positive aspects. It also has a value that increases over time. This is also one of the big reasons why so many people are interested in Bitcoin. It's so valuable. Its value has risen significantly. And we know that the price will also rise much more in the future.

People only hold bitcoin because of its appreciating value. Now if the price is just fixed like fiat, and it can never be a good hedge against inflation, then what's the use of holding it? Maybe I will just store small amount of bitcoin for spending purposes, as long as it remain decentralized. But if its decentralization has also vanished, people will have no good reason to buy and hold bitcoin for long term. Its like having fiat with another name and version, its not making sense at all.

For sure I will still hold bitcoin even if the price should remain stable, however the urge to buy more bitcoin won't be there especially if the price should remain stagnant. The main reason why people invest in bitcoin is to make profit and this is through price appreciation, however bitcoin offer freedom such that we can be able to control our own money. Profit alone isn't the reason why people invest in bitcoin but without the price of bitcoin appreciating it will definitely affect my decision.

No one will be interested safekeeping bitcoin if the price is no longer growing. Because in all honesty, people are clearly coming to bitcoin for profits, if holding bitcoin means no longer profitable, then holding bitcoin will only be a waste of time, except for those who still chose to reserve some bitcoin for future use for decentralization purposes. But personally, having bitcoin only as a means of decentralized thing without its potential profits is not that highly impressive. I would not consider holding bitcoin instead.

I don't think bitcoin in the first place would have gotten these so much attention if it was a stable coin and I'm sure you ought to know this and you should also know that one of the major reason why people are holding bitcoin the volatile nature and regardless how volatile it might be, it still has a very limited supply and holders are always optimistic that it will attacks in a new higher price always no matter how low it dips. Which means that, the volatile nature of bitcoin is the sauce and juice of it.

I think that one of the advantages of Bitcoin lies not only in its price, but also in its ability to facilitate transactions and manage your assets in a decentralized manner. So even if its value were similar to that of a stablecoin, that wouldn't be a problem for me… I could use it just like a "dollar", but unlike the USD, which is centralized and doesn't give you the freedom to manage your money, this offers you greater freedom in managing your money and allows you to make transactions anywhere.
