Make we just pray make we no involve for any form of wallet compromise from hackers because your own wallet wey you think say dey safe fit still dey vulnerable to hackers. E go good to try use electrum cold storage if you get any old laptop wey dey work because that one dey more safer since, na you dey do the set up yourself. Nobody get access to implant any esim for your back.
I have also been thinking about electrum wallet. I don’t know if it has been hacked before, but it has been the Bitcoin wallet I used to know and many users are using it and no case of wallet hack like we used to see from ledger and coldcard; because of that, I think it is the best wallet to recommend at this moment. They also have mobile version I think, one must not have a PC to install it; it have almost all the functions a good Bitcoin wallet will have and it has been active for years.

I am using Bluewallet, it has been a very good wallet, very simple and easy to use; it is similar to electron in terms of operations and it also have functions. These wallets are free, our newbies can decide to use them to start and gain some experience from these wallets before deciding to buy any hardware wallet. The main thing is to keep the seed phrase safe.

Na the truth you just talk like this sir, because person fit actually Dey very careful with him wallet security make loop hole or some vulnerability they the device it self, like wetin happen with coldcard few months ago that fault no come from user actually Na from the comps it self. Na why I also agree with you point wey talk say make person just build him own cold storage system with phone or laptop we you no dey use. Na to just disconnect the Bluetooth and WiFi of those devices and use am create your own personal cold storage hardware wallet.
To invest in bitcoins it is necessary to manage a secure wallet to keep this currency safe, for this it is better to use hardware wallets but even if using hardware wallets we have to be careful and should not buy them from any third party company but only from the direct source otherwise investors will buy devices that are hacked. A proof of this is that nowadays famous hardware devices purchased from resellers instead of directly from the source, hackers have added an unauthorized chip or malware to the device, as a result everyone noticed that 86 to 93.4 million dollars worth of crypto currency has fallen into the hands of hackers.

At this point I agree with you it was not the user's fault that these devices were hacked but a person can create a cold storage system with his unused laptop or phone ie format the system, disconnect the internet, and by installing the wallet software, it is possible to create a cold storage wallet on the laptop, as a result of which our holdings of bitcoins will be much more secure.

I would like to put more stress on the security of our wallets because this is the most sensitive aspect that scammers target; all they want is to ensure that you create a vulnerability by making a silly mistake, and they will use that as an advantage against you to launch their attack. Let's keep in mind to learn more about the security measures and maintain privacy so as not to contribute our own assets to fraudsters.

Of course , decentralization also come with high responsibility. When come to crypto space you are fully your own bank ( those using noncustodial wallet ). That’s why one should always treat their wallet with caution. Because any careless move will cost your whole assets .

Folks tend to over look the security spect of this space and focuses mainly on making more money . Making funds and having multiple Sources in this space is a big win but not knowing how security works in this space can be a big problem . So build your security and privacy knowledge as you involve yourself with the crypto world.

There are lot of methods this scammers are using this days to steal from people who have saved and accumulate Bitcoin as an investment and and store of value only to loss it into the hand of scammers. They in most cases target emails to see if seed phrases are stored in them, they can also send links that could corrupt the email to either copy information in the email or monitor all the information sent and received in the email.

The thing now be say nothing really dey safe again na just God.

We dey see as many of the said hardware wallet, way supposed dey most secured done already dey give people problem. You no fit imagine how many people lifesavings go don lost for the hardware wallet and some sef go don give up.

The only correct way to dey safe na to do watin good and no put trust for one wallet at all.

Ee go better say you put your money for at least two different wallet just in case something happens to the other one, you go still see one take hold body.
This one u dey talk now no be say the hardware nodey secure, na just some poor practices and attacks on some loopholes but if your wallet Dey protected with passphrase you’re safe from all this hacks.

This na very good advice wey you drop here, especially for people wey get big amounts of bitcoin. But what if the old laptop get virus, that one fit be another problem.

I believe say anybody wey follow this instructions you don outline no go get issues with their bitcoin investment because you emphasize not just bitcoin as an investment but how to secure your bitcoin.

The prevention of scam by checking your transactions na one thing plenty people no dey take serious, I no know if na laziness but e dey very important to dey check your transactions make you know wetin dey happen so that incase you see anything wey you no understand, you fit get quick solution.

I think there’s more to protecting Bitcoin investments than just using a secure wallet or setting a strong password. Even with a hardware wallet, someone can still lose their funds through a wrong transaction, fake links or fraudulent platforms promising unrealistic profits.
Here in Nigeria, many people get carried away when they see Bitcoin prices rising because they don’t want to miss an opportunity. Some even go as far as borrowing money to invest, hoping to make quick returns. This is why I believe patience and proper risk management are very important. Investors should take time to verify platforms, check wallet addresses before sending funds and avoid making decisions under pressure.
To me, securing Bitcoin is not only about protecting your private keys, it’s also about making wise decisions and knowing when to stay away from unnecessary risks.
