Why does the US government take lesser taxes on Healthcare Sectors?

The pie chart is confusing me, why the box for health is bigger, with higher percentage of 43% and you call that smaller tax, from the chart you could tell that transportation sector has the least percentage of 0.2% of taxation, why is that, or am I reading it wrongly?

If that's the case, health sector is wealth, when health is shattered, then the free access to get treated and taken care of at first sight is guaranteed, as that's the step n the united states of America.

The chart doesn't represent taxes realised from these sectors. It is only a representation of subsidies and tax preferences for different areas. It shows that government is spending more funding financial mechanisms designed to lower the cost of medical care and health insurance than its is doing in other sector.

There have been reports of fraud in the health sector of the US. The government might not have to spend this much on subsidies and tax preferences if corruption is reduced in this sector.

Although with the amount that was budgeted for defense in 2025 budget, their military can get any artilleries that they want. The US military has enough weapons to fight wars, they have been budgeting heavily for the military over the years, so it’s not surprising seeing them shipping sophisticated weapons for the Middle East war. Healthcare is not a business sector which is why it receives special treatment from government. Healthcare sector directly affects the lives of people and also their financial security. There are expenses that can be avoided but like other expenses, medical treatments are not avoidable because of certain serious illnesses; normal person has to take on debt in order to pay for healthcare. That is reason most of time government comes in to support healthcare and give them benefits in form of tax. But spending more is not a guarantee that the system is doing well. If government is spending billions on healthcare but for ordinary person, medical cost is still too high, then it is the responsibility of the government to examine where their money is going. Sincerely speaking I like the American budgeting system, if you check through the chat you will see that the major areas that affects the people's lives are highly budgeted for, Healthcare and Housing, healthcare is one of the most important aspects of the human life, these days we have a lot of illnesses that people barely have the financial muscle to struggle through with, so if the government helps in budgeting more on HealthCare, it will help reduce the load on the citizens, the other aspect I see here is housing which is also essential, having a roof over your head is an important aspect of the human need, so if the government are budgeting 13% of the annual budget on housing, then i think is a welcome development.

Bro, you have mixed up two things. This is not federal spending, it's tax expenditures. You know the difference, but for those who don't, tax expenditures are not money that the government can spend from its checkbook. They are tax revenues that the government agrees not to collect because of special carve-outs.

Healthcare takes up most of the chart because of the employer-sponsored health insurance exclusion. This means that the money your employer pays toward your health insurance is not taxed. And this is a big saving for these companies too.

The answer should be obvious here because it's healthcare, health is more important than anything else because without it I don't think any other thing makes any sense. I have always envy the American healthcare system because at least you get treated first before anything because the government will always come in to clear the debits but in other areas if you don't have money or insurance then you don't get attended to especially the developing country and we know hoe high the death rates are in those countries from little things that could've  been treated if the patient was given attention to first instead of demanding for payment first so the healthcare getting less taxes is just ideal for keeping that sector functional. Health care is supposed to be the least taxed so that Health workers will not frustrate patients by charging high medical bills. Everyone is supposed to have access to healthcare because it is a fundamental human right so when the government takes less taxes, it makes it easier for the less privileged to still afford it. 1. To make healthcare more affordable: when the government take lesser task on healthcare sectors, healthcare or medications will automatically become more affordable or cheaper for the citizens. And you know that health is everything to human, for the society or a country to function the citizens must be healthy.

2. To also encourage people to obtain health insurance.

Any government that means well for their citizen will do the same thing the United States are doing concerning healthcare, it is very important to make healthcare or medications cheap and easy to access or get.

Most hospitals are own by religious groups and acadmy institutions making it difficult for the government to tax them heavily like other sectors. You should be happy that your government is spending this high on the health sector, that means that your government has the interest of the masses at heart hence the massive investment in the health sector. I think it is the way different governments met the system. Since I have been hearing about US and there successive government, they have been very lenient and soft with health care. It is important to them and the center of interest when a new government is about to come in. The system runs under health insurance. Most African countries that are insurance on health sector took that from the US.

The government subsize the health sector and heavily fund it. So why will they impose heavy tax on what they are already funding. In fact,, they encourage private sectors to have health insurance for their people and the hospitals functioning are registered like non profiting company just like some third world countries register churches as non profit organization. The United States government understand how important health is and they know sickness can get worse if it's not identify and treat early. And some times someone can be diagnosed of a particular sickness very early but lack of money can prevent the person to receive a proper treatment that would help him or her to get well and go about his or her daily activities.
