Those that can afford the both it ease for them a lot major it's an alternative and will take some dominance in time coming, currently the market demand is higher and it's not ramparts where common man can afford it the cost of switching from fuel or Petro to electric is still high that many can't afford for it, like in my environment many too don't have the kind of solar that can charge the electric car and the charging station are not established like the way they have Petro station easily all this are barrier many with such ideas of going into electric vehicle is considering, on a norm it have help in cutting down some demand of Petro once the market is saturated with it and the price dropped many will see it as the best alternative to be considered and that may equally drop the price of fuel if the fuel demand reduced.

Do you think electricity can replace oil in the next 3-4 years or a decade?
Yes. But more probably like a decade and not 3-4 years. But the process has already begun, as we can see, electric vehicles are being pushed hard and to be honest, maybe that is a good thing because once fusion reactors become feasible, electricity will be very abundant. Possibly the cost of charging your car can go down to 1/30th of what it is now or maybe lower. It would be nice eating sushi and knowing there is no plastic, chemicals or straight up raw oil on it. Fossil fuel is garbage that should have ended in the last century.

Individuals now go for rechargable vehicles and so on because of increase in price of oil, well that something one can consider a good idea, but doesn't high demand also affects electricity? The the More individuals go towards rechargable stuffs the more the demand increase, and will the increase in demand not make electricity expensive as well? Or does that principle not affect electricity? If it does then it's just a matter of time for electricity payments to be same as oil is now.

As oil prices continue to rise, interest in electric cars will undoubtedly increase. For someone with solar panels at home, this could even mean independence. However, I think we need technological advancements in the area of batteries. Payback periods are still not at very good levels. They could improve. Once they reach a better level, we will complete the utopia of a self-sufficient middle class... :)
Besides all this, we must also emphasize that electric vehicles are eco-friendly. When we use these vehicles, we produce no exhaust emissions and we protect nature...

There's a surge in our electric bill and the diesel and gasoline prices have increased too. The demand for electric cars is high lately, making BYD a supplier with a lot of sales globally. If the war will not stop and there won't be ceasefire, this will amplify the sales of EV and even solar panels and setup. I want to have a solar setup because our electric bill is high. So, it's not only about the EV cars but also looking for alternative energy for each household. They say that the cost has been lessened but for a normal folk like me, the setup is still quite expensive and I need to save more for that. If ever I purchase an EV as if I have money to buy it, my fuel(electricity) will be for free due to the solar energy that I shall harvest. Everyone is looking for alternative but it is a deciding factor to see what will happen in the next 5 years.

There are people that have sworn to never drive an electric car, also there are demands that are better meet with oil rather than any alternative form. I think electricity has a chance to replace oil but being realistic this isn't happening in the next 3-4 years. Take for instance the electric cars, many companies are in a rush to produce them but th truth is that the result hasn't been Worth the while with several complains about the low quality standards.
Electric cars and bikes are good economical and easy to use and maintain than fuel, but the truth is that the quality that are produced current are a little less of a standard quality, but aside this electric vehicles and bikes are the best when managed well. The carbon that fuel and disiel cause in the body can't be over emphasized. This is causing a lot of health challenges in the body. Electric cars are used to to compit with fuel due to the recent increase and unstable price of fuel generally.

Using electric car or bike is quite good compared to fuel car or bike because you don't need fuel before you can go to any place of your choice within your country, but the price of electric cars and bikes are way more expensive than fuel cars and bikes, which will make a lot of people not to afford electric car or bike, and for this reason I don't think electricity can replace oil in the next 3-4. I think in the next 3-4 years we will have more of electric cars and bikes but the price would make people to choose if they will use electric car or bike or fuel car or bike.

Idk, I think it is not one size fits all. It depends on the type of vehicle and the market. Where I live, there are quite a few affordable EVs on the market, especially from Chinese brand, with a wide range of models and price points. A lot of them aren't just cheaper than gas cars, they are way cheaper to run too. That's a big part of why EVs are catching on so fast . If they cost more, how would they get this popular, right?

We are not looking at the effects of the demand of electricity. If you do the maths, Electric vehicles are cheap because of small maintenance, you don't service often like you do for engine cars after some mileage and cheap electricity, this will serves you well if you have one with good battery. However, if the demand for electricity comes, electricity tarrifs will be increased, the government will want to make more income from electricity. If the government depend on crude oil sales and want to boost oil sales, they are going to make electricity to be expensive particular countries that depend on oil exportation to make money, less exportation means low income. How about the gas power stations that are used to generate electricity? They are product of crude oil. The more demand for electricity comes, people should be ready to make for more tarrifs. The government always has a way it makes things balanced.

The higher the demand of rechargeable vehicle they are the cause of electricity, because the electricity will be in idand and with that the price will also shoot up. Electricity has been used as an alternative but it is for those that have the capacity to do it, because most of at times depending on the electricity that is from the government usually cause a lot of harm than good, I'm saying this based on my own society, we faces a lot when it comes to electricity. What we normally use to substitute National Grid is solar energy, it is very costly to power everything we want but with a little amount we have, we are able to substitute it even though it is not even up to 40%, it is better like this than depending on the National Grid, because a lot of businesses have been shut down just because they don't have adequate electricity to run their businesses.

Do you think electricity can replace oil in the next 3-4 years or a decade?
I hope it does. Because we really need an alternative, and as fast as electric vehicles are growing in the world and their craze in increasing I they will replace short-distance transportation sooner or later, but for long-distance transportation like trains, buses and airplanes, we are way way behind. probably another 100 years behind in my opinion. But I am happy with the adoption of electric vehicles so far, and the more people shift to these the more oil price will reduce. Globally, every country is shifting to electric vehicles. Even the major oil-producing countries like Saudi Arabia are now taking steps towards lithium mining for electric vehicle production. Currently, electric vehicles have been introduced in Pakistan, so I think it's a very good initiative because in oil-dependent countries it's a very important step to reduce oil consumption. Nowadays, EV cars and bikes have become very popular, especially bikes making their place in middle-class households.
As we know, it's a new technology, so people are facing a lot of problems, like in Pakistan, no proper charging facilities are available and there are also no repair facilities. Battery replacement costs are also very high, and it's a major problem for the middle class. What's your opinion about buying electric bikes for Pakistani people as electricity costs are also high in Pakistan? I think in Pakistan in the past few years, people have installed solar systems, so first people should purchase solar systems then go to purchase e-bikes.
Is it not possible to install solar-powered charging facilities all around the country for electric vehicle owners? I think that would be a great business opportunity. don't you think?

I don't understand the kind of electric bike that you charge once in a year and continue using it throughout the year without charging it because the electric bike that I have seen isn't like that. You have to charge the battery daily after using it to boost it back in order to avoid it from stopping on the road.
Lol Comeon, am sure some typing errors happened somewhere when writing all this.. otherwise if you are using your electric bike for long distances or more frequently expect frequent charging and that will also depend on capacity of battery and if it's a lithium or lead based.. All in all electric is the way to go as we try to reduce carbon emissions to save the world for the future generations to come! And for what it's worth, anything electric is good when it's still in its new state, things get expensive when replacing batteries and having someone to handle the high voltage circuits and all that.. # Rich_Builds.

not sure how true that is, but keep in mind that battery production pumps out a ton of carbon. so saying EVs cut emissions and save the planet isn't entirely true, tbh.
