Re: Crypto should be put into the educational curriculum. In your post, you mentioned the term "financial literacy", and yes, this is the one that every student must have before they try and invest. TBH, instead of cryptocurrency in general being put in educational curriculum. I'm instead thinking of 2 things. 1. Blockchain technology 2. Financial literacy Yes, you said financial literacy, but if they'll add it, it will not be with regards to crypto only, but on a general thing. They need to know more about investing in general, and not only on crypto. I don't see any significance on it TBH. Why focus on crypto only? Well, if there will be curriculum about crypto, I would like to focus ONLY on Bitcoin and Bitcoin only. No other altcoins, no stable coins, no meme coins, nothing. Focus on Bitcoin only. As for Blockchain Technology, I believe there are some institutions and colleges that are offering this already, and for me, this is a better one since you will be opened to lots of opportunities around the crypto space. It should be more of a general term, and not on a specific asset class only. Investing in general, financial literacy and blockchain technology.

Do you really know how many years it takes for the government to be so pissed with the existence of Bitcoin? They can't kill it and they can't ignore the possibility of making money from it, they have to join.
Now all they can do is monitor people's addresses and Tax them, on something that they once hated so much, teaching Bitcoin in schools is like killing the power of the centralised world little by little.
We have seen what Satoshi Nakamoto did, you can't tell me that a better future Nakamoto won't rise up, something will work out in the future and this is a fear on its own for those who want people to be under their control always.

I have been discussing the need of cryptocurrency education in Russian local board for a long time. On the other hand it is needed, on the other not everyone wants to connect their life with crypto and plan their future without much of a deep financial education. For those these lessons will be useless or they wont learn or remember much. It will turn like lessons of music at my school. We have learned in smallest details notes, key, and how to correctly write them on the musical staff. Kind of preparing us to write any song as tune (notes on 5 tune lines and etc). Never wanted to become a song writter or musician, and for me those lessons were waste of time. It also hard to learn and evalute something that you cant use. For example if at school they teach trading. Does a pupil allowed to trade or register at exchange?

Education can help build a generation that understands cryptocurrency before entering the market. This will help shape the next generation of people know and appriciates what crypto currency is before even ever going into the market, with this the next generation of those going into crypto currency will have an edge, this is very important because it will help students acquire basic knowledge and information through a formal educational setting which will be included in the educational curriculum Imagine a curriculum where students learn the fundamentals of money, blockchain technology, cryptography, digital security, and decentralised systems. This type of a system will help develop citizens which will be more digitally informed, this will help students have a balanced education when it comes to cryptocurrency because, it will inculcate in students the regulatory framework which guides crypto currency, the risk factors involved and the possible limitations and even benefits that comes with it.
For crypto to be volatile, it means it is very risky, so how do you expect schools to add it into their curriculum? The can only share ideas on how it works, but there will be no perfection, especially in terms of market prediction. Don't you that education is all about facts that have been laid down and confirmed by so many scholars? They teach based on that to make sure the new generation gets it right and do more researches to add value to education, how did you expect crypto to be thought? The government will not easily agree on this; they didn't officially legalize crypto, so they will not allow it to be taught in school. But it can be thought in universities for interested people to go and gain more knowledge.

If you ask whether crypto should be included in the education curriculum, my answer is that it should probably focus on financial literacy only, because financial skills are more important and are rarely taught in schools even though they are much more urgent for everyday life. But if crypto really has to be included in the school curriculum I also agree but it should focus only on blockchain technology that would make more sense than directly including cryptocurrencies in the curriculum.
Because blockchain is a broader technical foundation, it can be taught according to the students' level of understanding without emphasizing speculative or investment aspects. I mean, by understanding how blockchain works, young people will naturally be exposed to the concept of cryptocurrencies throughout the learning process.

Not all crypto is worth teaching to students because right now the market has so many shitcoins, and if students are taught about cryptocurrency in general, they might get the idea that all cryptocurrencies are the same, even though they are clearly different. Maybe it needs to be made more specific, like what Bitcoin is, what a stablecoin is, etc. Another thing that really needs to be explained more is financial literacy because students also need to understand how to manage their money and get the risks before they get involved in it. There are a lot of people without good financial knowledge who just jump into the market without considering the risks, and then they think crypto can give them quick profits. With better financial knowledge, it is hoped that students will become more responsible in making financial decisions and avoid misconceptions about cryptocurrency.

If something were to be done here in Brazil, I believe it should be a bit more general, involving investments in stocks, fixed income, and cryptocurrencies. The population here lacks financial education, and I don't see any movement from the government in that direction. What we have are private projects and some partnerships that don't have widespread publicity.
Like Brazil, there is a huge lack of financial knowledge among the people in my country. That is why there is no improvement in the economy of our country, rather the people of this country do not know how to manage money. For now, even if we are talking about financial freedom, the song about Bitcoin is needed among the people of my country. If we want to gain knowledge about how Bitcoin can bring us financial prosperity and financial freedom, we should definitely include at least a little knowledge about Bitcoin in our curriculum. But unfortunately, the government of our country will never do that.

There are schools around the globe as well speak that has added these to their curriculum. It is highly selective and that’s how curriculums works, it differs by country, state and programs. To not be speaking widely, I’ll give examples of schools I found on the web in respect to the above: 1. New Zealand — Edu NZ Blockchain 2. United States — Rapunzl Would limit it to just these 2 but there are more. It’s more useful as you equip the child with ore options and they know more about what is happening in the world around them to not fall behind.

Honestly, i do not see any value to teach student about a certain asset when they can learn about it online by themselves. Including a particular asset in the curriculum would be a waste of time and resources. Education is not about directing student toward particular investment. It's about providing them with financial literacy, skill and the ability to evaluate risk on their own. They should be taught thing that have lasting value, not whatever happens to be popular at the moment. What makes you think that bitcoin is going to continue to be significant for the economy decades from now?

I don't think that you fully understand the point that was trying to make. My views was that it could change the view of and believe systems of the next generation of people , if they are exposed to crypto education from an early age it can drive interest on the long run.

With Bitcoin and cryptocurrency adoption growth globally in coming years and decades, next generations at any age including lads and the youth will be exposed to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency very organically and they will have better foundations about these digital things better than we had as earliest adopters with limited resources for our very first learning attempts. It's not necessary to stress kids learning about Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies which are not the only thing or most important thing for their knowledge to survive towards the future. https://bitcoinforkids.com/https://www.btcbitbybit.com/courses/for-kids

I believe it's preferable to educate rather than sell blockchain. To teach blockchain basics, and digital financial safety. Students should know how transactions are confirmed. The importance of privacy keys, and how scams work. They should also be able to understand the drawbacks of Bitcoin price fluctuations. And the distinction between open chain networks and centralized networks. This would provide them with any technical and financial information that would be beneficial without inducing them to invest. Education is not to influence one to invest in any specific asset or steer clear of it.
