These things happen very often. If they never happen to you, you won't know it's a daily encounter for some people.

In this situation, who is to blame? The country obviously can't be blamed, even if the country is fucked up. He is to be blamed.

Having trust the people around him to tell them how much he holds in crypto. The robbers are people he frequent chat with, drinks beer with that stole from him. It can't be a total stranger.

Is a big risk to tell people what you are worth with your cryptocurrency, UK can't be said to lack security but yet such rubbery incidents still goes unnoticed this shows that the criminals hard a very carefully thought out attack plans.


Cryptocurrency holders are at major risk once someone around them who can't keep their mouth shut gets to know about their crypto holdings or recent profits, or even the total amount of cryptocurrency in their wallet, all because of trust.

The social media space is surrounded with crypto influencers, we don’t know who is genuine any more of course everyone wants to start educating online. Although most of the post might be educational post made to teach young traders, to my biggest surprise influencers don’t get robbed like others basically they have all the security they need so it will be difficult carrying out a successful robbery or scam.
How did these guys know the right location, this is a very important question because the victim told the story in details which include threat of life. Proper investigation should be carried out, sometimes friends are not to be 100% trusted because the whole story seems like an arranged kind of robbery.

One thing we should totally understand is that these wrench attacks keep proving the same point that the biggest risk isn’t always online; it’s physical so we should be more careful about the informationn we choose to share.
Once people know we hold a large amount of crypto, we become a target.
This is one of the reasons why i never like the idea of flashing wealth, posting lifestyle content, or even just talking too openly about holdings which can put a target on our back.
This incident happening in the UK doesn't mean the place is uniquely dangerous, and the last time I checked, this has happened in plenty of other countries too.

So the victim is possibly already marked down by the attackers, and as per checking, he is a public figure posting into social media with his engagement, investments and other crypto stuffs related so basically his exposed to the public and this is the reason why we are trying to avoid being known in crypto space because there is a higher chance that people will attack us not through even online but in real life like that example, cant blame them because possible thats the way how they earn but id rather not expose my identity much that exchange into my safety and life even with my family. Practice is most important as if people are careless with their practice, their privacy will be damaged, and physical attacks are possibly coming anytime in the future.

I will personally fight back if the only weapon they have is knife, if they are more than 4, I may not fight, but if they are 2 and less, I'll stand on my ground and fight no matter what. I can't let $800k go for two thiefs and a knife. I won't allow that to happen.

These attackers might have taken time to withdraw the crypto at his front, because they'll need his password and or fingerprints authentication. It's sad to see your hard earned crypto going.

I really don't know how  you intend to fight off three men armed with knives, are you  just going to throw your life away because of money? What if you get killed in the process while you were trying to defend yourself ?the same money  you re risking your life to defend will still be enjoyed by people who didn't work for it if you get killed.

Exactly. Those who end up being attacked are probably the ones making their own fate.

I believe they know already the threat that comes with having crypto assets, and that living low key to secure their privacy and one's safety is the best thing they can do. But still, a lot end up going the opposite way and blame other people or the government why they experienced those bad incidents.

If they can't take full responsibility of their crypto assets, then they should have not entered crypto investment in the first place because they are only breaking their own rules.

Like I said, I'll not fight if they are more than three, it's impossible to fight three attackers with knife no matter how much you try. Infact, you'll end up been killed without them having the money. They'll only go with your phone without accessing crypto and the owner lying death no one can trace.

Regardless of the country the person is, if he does not have privacy, the person can be invaded or attacked just to forcibly receive crypto from him.

People should not use privacy to play anymore. This kind of news are no more new at all and I think attackers attacking people to steal their crypto from them will become more common happening.

The lack of privacy is not the real problem here. The real problem is that people aren't afraid to commit a crime and do such things. I've seen many videos of criminals stealing smartphones from the hands of streetwalkers. This is the issue that comes from the government and I would say that their migration policy played a huge role into it. Migrants are good but educated and hard-working ones, not those who live for free on welfare and commit crimes on top of that.

But anyways, since the crime rate is high, it's pointless to argue what the situation should be because before such a situation exists, people should really seriously take care of their privacy. If they are gonna flex with their wealth, then they should hire a security or live in a place that's safer for living for wealthy people.

I don't think that you get my point here, because if you do, you will agree with me that the root cause of most of these attacks are connected to money, or it's money oriented. Even the links you posted, those that were attacked was as a result of not being private when they should have. Bitcoin is money, so when I say it's connected to money, am not just talking about only the fiat currency, but anything that haves a monetary value.

The need for social media exposure of oneself as a cryptocurrency trading influencers is a higher risk for the trader's which they don't consider most time's, the majority of those that connect to you are people from your immediate environment most especially if you use your official informations to open such social media accounts.

If you check and investigate properly you discover that this attack is sponsored from inward because for someone to have such detail about how much you actually holds in assets you should know that you are very Open to how much details you share with other's.

This is why even if you have 10 dollars, hide it. Because if you have money and people need money, they see it for themselves, and that's a thing that won't work very well for them. I think it is clear that we are going to end up with a lot of trouble on the long term if we are not careful. I get it, it is not that simple, but at the end of the day we are dealing with bad people, but sometimes also people who are in need.

You think every bad person just grew up bad? Some were good people or could have been good, but they were doing badly: no food, no home, nothing, they were forced into a life of crime. So I would suggest, if you want to protect yourself, do not tell anyone about ANYTHING, not even money, just anything that others may need.
