I just checked their website and it's still under maintenance. I guess they're still working to make sure their operations can run normally. But casino hacks like this have been happening more often lately. Previously, Duelbits also experienced something similar, losing $7 million from a hack on their platform, but luckily that issue has been resolved and Duelbits rebuilt their security system. So I think Gamdom will definitely fix this issue too, it's just that it might take some time for them to really make sure they can operate normally again without the risk of another security breach.

And that is the scary part, I wouldn't say that this is the norm, as usually hackers attack exchanges or individuals. But right now, it looks like they shift to online casinos as they are more likely loopholes as they could feel safe from hackers as they are not the target.

But they are in the move right now so it's better for crypto base casinos to really make sure that their security is air-gapped and they should also teach their employees not to get phished as well as this could be one of the attacks that his criminals might do, social engineering.

I would say that with the trend happening this year 2026 (which I'm afraid might continue since 2026 still has over 2 months left), could it be possible that it's also related to the increasing popularity of AI, or is it just a coincidence? This hack could potentially have been AI-assisted to some extent.
Can't rule out the possibility that AI helped the attack. With all of these recent hacks that happened to the other casinos, this is alarming to be honest. You name the price of how much was taken, $3M? It's a lot of money for a business like them. Too small for a casino? heck no, money is money and even they can cover the loss, these attacks seem to be no longer a coincidence that happened to these casinos. I won't wish to see another one being siphoned by these hackers within the next months. Hopefully it stops and casinos invest that kind of amount to secure their businesses.

Hopefully it stops and casinos invest that kind of amount to secure their businesses.

They will certainly do that as they've already experienced it, and they wouldn't want that to happen again. Cybersecurity requires a lot of money but it's for the security of the business and to protect its reputation, I think it's worth investing in even if it costs $1 million. Imagine if this hack happens again, I think people would no longer trust this casino and it would definitely lose its reputation.

Yup, it sure is worth it with that amount. Instead of hackers getting that money, they might just put it into strengthening their security for their assets and as well as the data of their customers. That's how all of them are going to utilize that money and security won't be last in line but will be prioritized. Protection is costly but it's worth it with all of these incidents that we hear about hacking the casinos, exchanges and hardware wallets.

I think it is easy to say than to be done. Do you think Bybit and Bitget did not spend money on security? Or you think Stake did not spend money on security? They are all spending money on security, but it will also surprised them when their wallets have been hacked. Just do not leave any coin on exchanges and gambling sites or on any other sites if you are not using to money to trade or gamble.

Yep they surely spend on their security as it impose them at a big risk. Them becoming bigger is them becoming a big target too. A regular security audit and implementation should be done on exchange, casino or anything that has money involved but hackers now are very sophisticated, I'm sure they had done new methods to hack these website along side with modern tool like AI that can boost their hacking activities. Hackers are evolving, so these businesses should be the same like having a security bounty or a pentesting eventsr to improve their security and see their possible hacking target points.

It's sad that there are so many hacking incident these year, but I personally think this will continue as hackers now will not stop breaching them.

I think they will survive and nothing will change, but it is always a bad day when you lose $3m
With what I am seeing, the gambling site will up sooner. Gambling sites are very wise because most of their money are on offline wallet. So if their hot wallet is hacked, only the amount of money that will not affect the gambling site will be taken by the hackers. Have you not noticed that all the gambling sites that are getting hacked are getting back online? It will not be surprising if Gandom get back up.

It is very unfortunate that gambling websites are being targeted nowadays due to the amount of crypto they store inside their offline wallet. I just hope that this would alarm most of the major gambling websites to increase their security and update all the necessary and required systems in order to at least have another layer of protection on their end.

These kinds of news somehow bring negativity in the online gambling world. This decreases the confidence of such players into investing and playing on a certain casino website which can be proved damaging to their overall reputation. I just hope that this would be the last (though I doubt) that we will be hearing from gambling websites being attacked and scammed in the process.

This past few weeks, more hacks has been targeting anything related to crypto. Both centralised and decentralised platforms, including casinos too. The more focus now seems to be targeting casino's. The rest of the big casino's guys should get ready. Anything can happen and they should be very ready to tackle the matter heads on.
Yes, this is AI time where they are very useful for hackers. It can be noticed already that gambling sites should be very careful because hackers are focusing on them now and also focusing on other areas of cryptocurrencies. If other gambling sites are not careful and take security as too priority, they are probably going to be hacked.
If the likes of duelbit can be hacked, the n the cyber security team of most of the active casinos should be aware that that have a lot of work to be done because it is very possible that the hackers are already cracking a casino down without them noticing it. the revenue generated by most casino is actually much and it is no doubt why they are the main target. centralized exchange are equally not left out on this because they are all big fishes in the eyes of hackers.
It's just a pity, because that's what we hear almost every week. One casino or the other is been hacked and funds stolen. Am sure other casinos that are not yet victims would always try to increase there security, yet, it seems that it is not working well or strong enough to prevent this hackers from gaining access.

What could be the cause of these access? Naturally, if we hear that there is a target on a particular sector from hackers, it's just simple that everyone would take precautions and enforce more security to avert the looming danger. But in this case of casino hacks, we keep hearing, and despite things been put in place, more hacks are still been confirmed. I just hope that the solution to this recent hacks would be found and it seizes, at least for now. It's just too much.
Reality is that in the online world, everything is made with coding, and if you do have bad coding anywhere in your system, it will be found. Because crypto is money and you are not going to get any benefit or profit from hacking some HTML website with only text, there is no money there, but if you hack a crypto website, you are going to get a lot of money. It could be a token website, it could be some web3 app, it could be game2earn or whatever, and of course it could be casinos as well, and also exchanges.

Because if you can actually hack into those, then you are going to end up making a great deal of money, and whatever they have in their hot wallets will be yours. This causes all these hackers to work really hard to hack into it, and if any of them find a small bug in your system that they can use to get it out, they will.

You are right, let's take unresent experience with Bybit exchange we had that the got hacked and some users are being affected, same applies to stake if I am not mistaking that it was once hacked before, the moment we trust in any centralized platform with our font shows that is either we don't know their implication or try to play dumb because we can we stand any future consequences for having our assets on them, I wish you pretty know that they can be hacked at any time.

Ultimately, spending money in security and in better wallets does not guarantee one will never get hacked I suppose. It lowers the chances of it happening to incredibly low chances, that blunders can be only explained by human error, and let us not forget that social engineering it is the main method hackers and scammers use to get to access systems and compromise entire wallets, both in casinos and exchanges.

At least, by using our own wallets and practicing self custody, we are lowering the chances to suffer losses, as hackers have a tendency to give their attention to centralized services, which hold millions or billions of dollars at the same time.

It was only a matter of time. Like I said after the Duelbits hack, we're going to see a lot more of these attacks because hackers are using AI tools to make their jobs much easier. With AI hackers can scan code for bugs in seconds, automate phishing attacks on staff and break into hot wallet systems much faster than before. Keeping hot wallets connected to the internet for fast payouts makes them easy targets. Until platforms set up automated limits, multi sig approvals and freeze systems, AI driven hacks will keep draining hot wallets.

For years, we haven’t seen hacks like this in Web3 casinos.
I’m not sure why hackers have started targeting them perhaps it’s because their revenues have grown so significantly.
It started with Duelbits, and now it’s Gandom it makes you wonder which casino will be next. While a $3 million loss is substantial, it could have been much worse fortunately, they caught it early.

But it is good to know that Gandom is back online, so as the gambling sites have been hacked, they are all coming back online and not gone bankrupt. That shows how smart the gambling sites are. If the gambling sites like Gandom is not smart, I expected more money to have been stolen by the hackers and Gandom supposed to have closed down. No need of making suggestions that if you tell the gambling sites, they may not welcome.

This year didn't end with the Duelbits hack only, another online casino was hacked:
According to a post on X, Gamdom noticed a hack targeting their hot wallet system and took action to stop the leak; in total, they lost just over $3 million due to the hack and moved the remaining funds from their hot wallets to cold wallets.

These guys had a signature campaign on our forum earlier.

Crypto casinos are number one targets for hackers and attackers at the moment because they sit on such large wallets that are unrecoverable, there's not a single better business model for these cyber criminals to get rich on. Zero day exploits, social engineering and even using AI to come up with strategies of attack are all making security a tough job to be in. It's not going to get any easier either, because you literally have nation states like North Korea, Iran and Russia who have a massive interest in training teams of people to target these companies online - they will spent months or years figuring out how to crack these targets because they only need one opportunity to raid a lot of money. When you consider the average salary in those countries might resemble hundreds of dollars (if you're very lucky), then they are more than paying for themselves.

Hackers have always been targeting casinos, just because they have not succeeded all these time doesn't mean that they have not been trying to take money out of these casinos. It is now easy for them to pull all these off because tech is becoming more advanced and with the use of Ai hacking is now easier for them. At this point any casino can be next, what they can do to avoid this is to pay more attention to their security, good cyber security experts must be employed to keep their sites protected 24/7.

In a space of two months we have seen cases of multiple casinos getting hacked, it shows that these hackers are now working twice as hard to make all these possible. These casinos that are being hacked can easily bounce back and recover what they have lost but one question I keep asking myself is, will the players still feel safe to deposit funds and upload their personal Informations.

Casinos should find ways to upgrade their security systems because you never can tell which casino is going to be hacked next, for them to be successful in hacking duelbits and now gamdom means that they can attempt to go for even bigger casinos. No one can really know if it was actually the same hackers that also hacked gamdom as well.

This is starting to seem like a regular thing now, after what happened with duelbits I thought it would be a wake up call for other casinos to put more effort into making sure that they have a tight security. The scammers or hackers are moving really fast now, it seems like they have insiders in these casinos giving them informations about the loopholes of perhaps they now have a means of spotting this. Both duelbits and gamdom are back online and that's good to know but it's not just about coming back online they have to fix these loopholes.

We will have to observe some more things to see if it is back to normal condition. If gamblers can withdraw money from the site without any delay after gambling, then I think their comeback is complete and if there seems to be any delay or any problem, then they definitely need more time to settle. If the customer gets their money properly, then the customers will have full confidence in that platform and if not, then the site will only come back because they want to retain the trust of their users. Those who return naturally, of course, return with the goal of providing service. The return of Gandom is certainly good news for its users.

Honestly, these days the question isn't really whether AI was used. It hacks, it defends, it watches, it learns, and it all goes in circles.

They also do, and it's already there and if a breach has happened, it's a call for better security and will require them to spend more money to do it. We always say that to never leave any amount on casinos and exchanges or any platform that we use but, it can't be stopped that there will be users who are gonna do that.

Honestly, these days the question isn't really whether AI was used. It hacks, it defends, it watches, it learns, and it all goes in circles.
That technology does everything and just as the other tools, it can be used for everything - good or bad.
