I don't really see it that way tbh that it is the same as leveling up in an RPG. In an RPG, the more time you play, the more you get some progress. But to play in casino, you can spend hours chasing the next level but you may end up losing more money than the rewards you get from reaching it.

I don't know if there's anything wrong having it as a goal though, especially if you're just playing for fun. I think the problem starts when you find yourself gambling more than you normally do just to reach that next level. For me, that's not really playing for entertainment anymore, it's more like spending money just to chase a badge. Personally, I'd rather have the levels come as natural to reach it. After all, what's the point of reaching that shiny level if you already lost more especially your bankroll? Unless you're really weird to get it.

It is not same, you rank up with XP in games but you rank up with wagering in casinos. That is not the same dude.

Money spent on casinos are not productive or will get you any expereince so that you will gamble better and increase your winning chance in future, all your past bets becomes irrelevant to your next bet so don't chase the ranks for the little more extra persks which often not that big.

I do submit that there is absolutely nothing wrong with chasing levels in the casino if it entails more rewards in the process. Chasing levels gives you that sense of accomplishment and satisfaction; you have something to look forward to as you progress your levels.

I mean, if spending money gives you an opportunity to level-up your casino profile, then such is just a necessary consequence in the process. Not only do you gain more rewards, better privileges, and VIP promos but you also have this opportunity to flex with others your profile.

Ranking up to the VIP level has some benefits.  It comes with exclusive privileges and special treatments. Some casinos even give access to some special physical occasions.

Setting it as a goal seems like a waste of time to me, because as long as I keep gambling, I will definitely hit it. So what use is there in just focusing on increasing my level? I know about the perks that come with VIP levels, but then again, setting it as a target is going to mess my schedule because now I would be so fixated on it that I will start gambling more than I normally would and as someone who battled with gambling addiction in the past, staying too long in my gambling account would have too much of an effect on me.

What are the benefits of chasing such high ranks? More bonuses? VIP status? And to what extent, just so you can end up losing more money to the casino? In RPG games, as you mentioned, ranks matter because you get to play with more experienced players. But casinos are different. Here, you are pressured to deposit more money to reach higher ranks and unlock more bonuses, something we know casinos are very fond of. They make you feel at home and do everything they can to keep you playing. They want you to feel comfortable enough to keep coming back rather than consider taking a break or switching to another casino, because that would mean losing a customer. Itis not wrong but it is better to level up naturally instead of in hurry and if you chase leveling up to the high rank in casino probably the VIP players group, you have to spend why you might've not plan for. But it is good to set it as a goal but not in a short term goal but a long term goal. And in the process you lose and win games. I would say it is wrong if your main purpose in gambling is just to chase VIP levels because what's the point of chasing VIP level if what you may get from leveling up is much smaller than what you are supposed to lose when chasing it?
Many people even say that chasing for profit in gambling is something wrong while logically chasing profit is much better than chasing VIP level.

There is nothing wrong with making it their goal, but chasing levels(or maybe you mean VIP), can be expensive, if the gambler can afford it, then there's really nothing wrong with it, but if they can't afford it, then they shouldn't do it. It's always a valid point to never rush to have a level up or chase promotions because these always have enough stuff for bringing people to an addiction level, which is never an ideal situation for any. In most cases doing things like these has no good end, and people face serious problems with financial stress because losing enough never gives relief.

In my opinion, it is not wrong depending on the person's financial status, the person's ability to withstand the losses that comes along side and the persons intentions for chasing levels. Is it not big players that easily get high level/rank at the casino? Those players that are playing with huge amount will easily get a higher rank because they are spending huge amount to play and I guess they can also withstand the lose before playing with such huge amount, meanwhile someone that is just playing with small amount will have to play a long time and lose a lot of money that they can not withstand, that's why I said it depends on what the player can handle. I can only advice against chasing ranks in casino if I hear from the player and know what they are able to handle and how financially stable they are.
