To say this is wrong for me is a bit inaccurate but focusing only on making our VIP level bigger quickly and without considering any of this to be a mistake.
Because precisely the initial intention to gamble seems to be a little lost because our focus is too big on the pursuit of VIP levels that make us too aggressive in gambling.

Indeed, when our vip is high, the greater the profit we get but when making this the initial focus and forgetting many things including risk management it is too much for me because this can make you more easily lose control because of the aggressiveness in gambling the greater considering our intense gambling.
So in this case Gamble reasonably even though there is a target that you want to reach such as the VIP level, we still have to prioritize limits and responsibilities so as not to overdo it in gambling.

What is in it to be gained? The cost for leveling up is quite too high to be rushed for the purpose of bonuses, players are better off, following the level up radar gradually than rushing to hit the next rank.

Disappointment would come in faster when the bonuses makes no difference compared to how much money that was lost while hurrying the progress. First of all you need to properly define what your reason is for gambling, if you are gambling to get entertained then I don't really think that it is worth it to high ranks or Vip because in order to do that you need to lose a significant amount of money and it makes no sense to lose so much on purpose just to gain so little. I don't think it's wrong but, that can only be wrong if it's affecting your daily life. And that means when you're also affecting your job, your family and even your finances then it's not worth it to chase the levels in your casino accounts. But if you've shown that you're responsible enough and you can balance all of those things then that's not a big deal. As for me, I don't chase it too much and that's why I gamble only for fun and whatever amount that I have in my bankroll, I stick to it. The bonuses and perks from higher levels are enticing but, I know how to control myself.

What's the point of having several VIPs at a casino if you aren't profitable at your bet? Because I thought VIPs should be what comes to you due to the amount you are willing and able to gamble with at a casino, and not rather what a gambler should consider as a goal to chase on a casino. Because the last time I checked, casino VIPs are been measured base on the amount an individual might have spent or wagered on a particular casino. And let's take Stake Casino for example, whereby for you to be a VIP level 1, it's needed of you to have wagered $10,000 on that casino. And assuming you are a new member on that casino, it will make no sense for you rushing to be eager to wager $10,000 on that casino, despite losing your bets just to be qualified for a VIP level, even when you are not financially buoyant.  Hence, making profits should be our goal when it comes to gambling.

It is wrong to chase when the casino is not promising any rewards for high tier bettors, there was an old post about a casino promising high level rank tier gamblers a vacation to foreign countries.

In my estimation, as long as one is gambling responsibly, you can chase as many level levels as you can in the casino that is totally up to you. It's not about being right or wrong. It's about being worthless. That was the conclusion I reached. You spend too much money to receive less in counterpart as you level up. The benefits never cover the losses you face to achieve them. I wouldn't advise anyone to chase levels in casinos. If it has to happen, let it happen naturally as you play casually. If you play only for levels, you will get upset in the end, because you will see it mean nothing practical and useful...

If I understood you clearly, you're trying to know if it's wrong to make a higher rank in a casino your main goal? First of all, that doesn't sound like what you want to achieve for fun or to feed your ego like some weird humans would; if anyone chases these ranks, it's most likely always because they want to enjoy the benefits that comes with it and, for the little I know, that would cost you a lot of money.

Where it does make more sense is in skill-based games, such as sports betting or poker, where you can make money in the long run, and as you’re able to level up, you also increase your potential winnings.

The ranks are easily achievable in no time if everything else you mentioned are the main goal, excluding any particular effort to achieve them. We can't tell people what to do with their money so any option is OK.

I do not see anything wrong with chasing ranks as far you are enjoying what you are doing, those ranks are like challenges that when you achieve them you get satisfied with yourself hence it is not wrong to chase them but when you over do it and it becomes an addition problems that is when it becomes wrong. If you can not control yourself to not over do it then do not start it because it has its addictions too. I remember playing a particular game trying to reach all ranks available as I keep playing and I lost alot of money doing so. Those games know why they have ranks available because they know that some gamblers are going to get addicted this way and they can keep gambling until they run out of money. The decision is on you as a gamblers pn what you enjoy doing and you have under control to make a choice.
