Your point is valid, we should not underestimate the value or hardwork of women, both usually contribute to raising the family well. Both make sacrifices but nature of their sacrifices is different. We cannot say that one is superior than the other or we cannot compare their contribution monetey wise. Do not associate it only with one gender, basically it is important to understand each person's duties within the family. But yes there are few facts we should acknowledge. Like women have choice to leave their work or take some break from financial duties. But man do not have that choice even if they need a break because they have to fulfil the responsibility at any cost. Same as women cannot take break from their duties of household taking care. Both are usually struggle in under their circumstances but appealing part is that both should cooperate with each others with out letting down one another.
No matter how strong or noble a man is, he was still brought into this world by a woman. Men also play an essential role in keeping the human race going. That should tell us that men and women have different roles that complement each other, rather than one being more important than the other .
Same goes for a family. One person could take on most of the financial responsibility, while the other focuses more on the household and holds the family together. Both are pulling their weight, just in different ways.
So it'd be pretty short sighted and one sided to give one person credit but look down on what the other bring to the table, imo.
