Some civil servants earn more than politicians because of the remuneration structure. However, many politicians become rich immediately after they take power because they steal from public coffers.

In my country, politicians allocate mouthwatering bonuses to themselves. They use these bonuses to increase how much they earn. If have told people that if you want to get the best leaders, make political position none lucrative. Lawmaking should be a part-time job, and the bonuses should be reduced. If this happens, politics will become a clean game since only those who want to serve the country will contest elections. 

In today's political space, lying is a highly needed skill to survive. Politicians are the biggest liars and deceivers.

In the underdeveloped countries they have the most corrupt and wicked criminals as politicians that is why they fail to develop their countries instead they steal all their country treasures to go invest in other countries so that them and their children can run to those countries when they are out of office. The set of politicians who get rich overnight are those who truth are far from their lips, they steal and try to bad up bills to benefit them and their supporters, you can't find truth in their mouth because everything they do depend on the public funds. The politicians are enemies of the people and enemies of truth if they do but steal and use lies to cover up their stealing they can't make the money you see them make once they assume office.

Quick wealth desires can easily blind someone from the truth, and those around them I mean the PAs are not also helping matters either, because they are not capable of giving them professional, helpful advice since they are also part of the corrupt system that brings their bosses to power.

Our problem is that we pay more attention to what politicians promise than to what they actually do after getting into power. Anybody can make nice speeches about development but what I think really matters is whether those promises makes any difference in the life of the common people. If public money is being spent, we should be able to see what it has achieved. Otherwise leaders can keep making the same promises and nothing will still change even when a new person takes over.

Politics is incredibly crazy in making an average man filthy rich and influential, think of Hegseth a Major in the US military controlling the affairs in Pentagon, and department of war. He commands the military and makes decisions alongside generals and CIA directors, just for being appointed by President Trump to run this department. The last time I watched him speak in the US senate chamber, he was demanding for a trillion dollar to finance the war against Iran. Even though the money doesn't go directly to him, having access to such amount of money puts him on the line to the kind of riches he wouldn't have imagined to possess his entire life, if he wasn't in this position.

As soon as you allow stipends from politics to start taking care of you rent or other basic bills, then you practically become a slave with glued lips, your thoughts and mouth belong to that politician who foots your bill. A mature man who depends on a political saviour to feed and cater for his family can never at any point have the courage or audacity to voice out about bad policies because the same people he is supposed to checkmate are the ones putting the pen on his paycheck. So instead, he does the opposite, he will gladly defend what he is supposed to oppose.

It is very important that when the rulers come to power they make many promises to the people that they will make their lives easier and that they will be provided with facilities so that they can improve their conditions.They get votes from them by promising to fulfill their desires.But when it comes to fulfilling these promises the rulers run away from their promises and focus on profit.They have nothing to do with the conditions of the people.Whether they are crushed under the burden of inflation or there are no job opportunities it does not matter to the ruler.Therefore while choosing a ruler the people should make a thoughtful decision because the conditions of their lives are also in our hands.

People started seeing politics as quick way to get rich instead of working for the nation to serve it. When politicians are more concerned about their own personal benefits and do not look for the needs of the citizens, corruption and dishonesty become very common in society. They start defending wrong actions because they do not admit the truth as they know that it is going to affect their financial interests and also their position. But I don't think that every politician is corrupt.

Politics itself is not problem but problem is with some of leader who are using it in the wrong way. It is because of the lack of accountability and also because of the willingness of the people who are supporting these corrupt leaders because in return they are getting personal benefits. It is responsibility of the citizens to judge politicians by their actions and the work they do for them rather than just fake promises and political affiliations.

The only money that will come to him is the one he receives in salaries and other bonuses, but I believe the United is too advanced for such money to get diverted into personal pocket, because there definitely going to be checks and balances that will prove the integrity of the political Chief of military appointed by the president, such money can get diverted in third world country where there is high rate of corruption in the military even in the face of war they still diverted funds meant for military equipments purchases.
