I believe AI agents integrated on Bitcoin wallets is probably the dumbest thing I've ever heard for a while, unless they're just testing some next-level development concept that I can't wrap my head around right now.

Where do I begin? That this is a privacy and security nightmare? Actually that is all. Poor privacy and false sense of security. Pretty terrifying to play like that with your savings.
Every AI agent integration that actually care about privacy and security generate different wallet for this exact reason, can't be sure it's safe unless it doesn't touch our savings completely and yeah it feels dumb sometime. Never heard anybody saying they should integrate AI agent to their bank accounts, but we have so many people saying we should integrate AI agent to our bitcoin address, especially coming from startup founders who are seeking for funding rounds. The AI pitch is getting more ridiculous by the days. Roll Eyes

There are numerous good sides of the AI agents and it is used in almost all our daily internet activities. If we look at the dark side of AI, the need of using it to create crypto wallets is not going to be a good idea in the long run, but in terms of security supports while creating these wallets will be resourceful. AIs should have limited/no access to our financial activities at anytime. Knowing how to prompt it is good as it can help in a lot of ways, but granting it access to your finances is unethical.
AI can be useful for checking wallet security but I would not trust it to have full access to my funds, even f it is designed to help they can still have some mistakes or someone trying to exploit it. So for me the best thing is to let AI assist with security while I have the private keys and recovery phrases under my control. Because the moment I give up that control, I am adding another layer of trust and that defeats part of self custody purpose.

Now that AI is everywhere, what do you think would be AI agents' role in Bitcoin? Would they assist users in creating "complex" wallets (multi-sig, time-locked BTC, etc)? Or what about giving us advice when or how to trade Bitcoin? Like making up a trading strategy you would follow to successfully make a profit with BTC? The possibilities are endless. We would have something like an AI chatbot, paid for with Bitcoin (credits or subscription).

Wouldn't that be nice? Or is this a terrible idea? Feel free to share your opinion below. Thanks.

For the most part, what AI has going for it would be "making Bitcoin easier to use", but I wouldn't be too quick to embrace them, as giving an AI control over wallet configurations, private-key operations, or trading decisions introduces several risks,

The strength of Bitcoin lies in self-custody, verification, and minimizing the need to trust third parties. If AI adoption makes people more dependent on automated systems they cannot independently verify, we might be trading convenience for control, negating the impact that infrastructures such as Babylon Labs' Trustless Bitcoin Vaults are positioned to have on user control over private keys and assets.

AI works best as an assistant, but it shouldn't become another layer of trust between us and our Bitcoin.

Having AI besides us helping and gives easiness to work. We can set our work using AI and for example, we can making up a trading strategy based on the history. But that will need more research to find the way.

We can making a schedule for others related to Bitcoin, for investment so we can run according the plan. But I don't think AI will interfere the role in Bitcoin.

Isn't this already a thing ? I mean I see a lot of posts and videos online about how AI has made the trade industry efficient for the actual traders, although I'm not sure how true it is, but there is one thing we can't take away from the massive AI adoption, and that's the fact that it has continued to make so many things a whole lot easier and there are so many persons that would feel relax having a idea from idea over the old traditional way so it's already the direction we are heading, it's just a matter of time before we see all around us in a way that we can't ignore anymore.

There are flying cars now so everything is possible

I think AI agents will insanely be useful for Bitcoin, especially for beginners who find stuffs like multisig and timelocks confusing, they can do this with ease. Having something that guides you in the process is too useful. But when it comes to trading, I don't think so and I wouldn't touch it unless it's really trained well. AI agents can analyze these charts and may suggest strategies, but I don't think that it will always get things right. I'd rather trust it as a tool for now than to trust my money with it.

The idea of paying for these services with BTC isn't so novel, I think we got past that already. There has been some several projects that done it in the past like ChatBTC, LangChainBitcoin, and Aperture/L402 Protocol. It isn't whether building an AI chatbot that accepts BTC as a payment, I don't think that's enough, I think it need something more, it need something more useful. Just my two cents.
