This post easily shows that you are not a newbies at all, but your account was created in January of this year. It is not bad to play with your alt with this kind of question.

Just know that merit can be very biased.

I think many newbies will miss people like DdmrDdmr on thr beginners and help. He was one of the few years that no good new member will not receive merit from and the merits will be sent to good posts.

I don't know what you're trying to achieve by making a post on meta just to discuss how much merit other people have received.

I've read through several posts and came across a statement from a reputable user saying that merit is subjective.

Of course it is subjective, but the idea is people will get merit for posts that have clearly had some effort put into them, and those writing exclusively mindless drivel or just claiming bounties won't get any or very little, and that's how it should be.

A thread like this belongs in the reputation board.

What he is specifically trying to obtain is merit. To earn merit. There was a time when starting a thread on Meta related to merits would earn the OP merits. If we take into account that, as _act_ says, this account is probably an alt account and not someone who is genuinely asking a question, this reinforces the hypothesis.

Why are you looking at others to take your own race?

It's quite some months now that you created your account and you couldn't even achieve being consistent with you post, have you been learning lately? How far have you been contributing? How much is the time did you created for the forum to learn and explore about it and Bitcoin? Have you even taken your time to discover what others are doing that gives them the results they are having?

There are many things that will make you not to have the same experience as others because you are all not doing the same thing, if I were you I will sit down tight and learn more on what to do in order to improve this community more better with my influence than asking for merit when I should ask for quality.

I don't have time to check the post history of the account you referenced but I check through the merit history. You should stop complaining and do the same thing to see if it will work for you since you're worrying about their pattern.

As i was scrolling to read through and contribute to my best of knowledge, the caption of this thread got my attention but when i came to the read body of the topic, i was totally discouraged because as a newbie that has the mindset of asking this kind question, what i need to do to get merit?, so with this question, it is assuming that you don't have idea on what to do to earning merit but you still point that you have not be merited because you have not make a quality post, that part gotten me worried and secondly you pointing out at someone within the forum that she doesn't have a quality post yet she earn merit.

If you are so desperate about earning merits, then maybe start by being frequent with your account on the forum, except it's an alt which you just wanted to use for this sole purpose..

Your post history says it all. you're not a newbie and I hate it when people hide behind Alts to prove a point. You're just some kind of puppet who is seeking for attention, funny enough you won't get any. If you want to be earning merit and rank up as quickly as possible, become a witch hunter. Those who specialize in witch hunting often receive a good amount of merit, which is gradually turning into a way to gain recognition and merit. However, that doesn't make you any less of an attention seeker.

Like others, keep posting, if your post is of quality and if someone likes that post and is in a good mood, they can give merit to your post. But you have to be more knowledgeable, the more informative you post, the more merit you can achieve.
So make yourself knowledgeable and keep spending time on this forum, you will not be surprised to see the merit of others, keep trying like others.

So, Instead of getting alarmed over another user who received enough merits more than you were expecting, why don't you take time to read and improve yourself and your posting quality. The fact that both of you registered the same your journey as regards to ranking up in the Forum ranks and merits earning may differ, but come to think of it this way that for you not to have received a single merit over the almost one year of being in the Forum show's that you definitely are not doing things right.


My advice is for you to focus more on improving your posts quality and try to contribute to more global discussions, which can get your content exposed to more merit sources that can reward your posts with merit.

Your  likes should not be in this forum,  you got 52 activity for 10 months that's enough prove that you're not consistent on this forum but your have already tag a user and envying her. With this kind of behavior you won't grow on this forum,  it's obvious you're just here for the merit and not the knowledge and development of bitcoin.  If you keep seeking for merit you won't have it, it's better you stay consistent and be determined to grow,  make your contribution readable and smiple with consistency you will hit your desired rank.

Op you're not working and you want to grow,  it's better your read the forum rules and regulations urge for merit or begging for merit is an offense,  know this and know peace.  Focus on how to develop yourself on this forum first before seeking for merit,  merit is giving to those that make good contributions and are consistent.
