I was sent THIS from a friend that we both have been discussing the future of the poor and low income earners in this era of Ai and this video shows lack of knowledge that many of the poor and low income earners have about the continuation of their little source of income. In this video it shows workers wearing a camera mainly on their head and this camera tracks hand movements, process as they do their work and all of this is to train Ai to master what this workers are doing. The short term finance that this worker gets is making them oblivious about the effect of what they are doing. according to the video these workers are paid around 1000 Rupees a day which is economically pleasing to then but at what cost. Talk about helping to end your own Job, the reality is that these mostly uneducated workers are about to lose possibly the only job they can offer for pay just because of extra money. I think these workers should be adequately informed about what they are doing, preferably in the language the understand best, about what the whole process is all about and the effect it will have on them.

You know there is nothing money can not be able to do. I know that there are some things that money can not be able to do and there are some problems that money can not solve, but you know the reason people are saying there is nothing money can not do.
If they do not take the extra pay, other people will take it and still they may later lose job to AI which is still the same thing without receiving any pay for the work they do not do and that is done by another people.

This is actually hilarious, it's like cutting the source of your lifetime income for a few pennies. The advent of AI would ruin a lot of people's life, it's high time that these technology inclined industries realize that not all jobs should be replaced with AI. How do people put a camera over their head for hours just to train an AI that would possibly take that job away from them? Isn't that funny?
The pay is above the normal pay because its an improper job offer but they probably don't have other options. AI is not perfect, these people training them are not perfect too but there is always the need for an upgrade. How does AI replace the measuring, cutting and sewing aspect of tailors without human help? I can't say more than this.

Sad but that is the reality, eventually some jobs that involve repetitive tasks will be replaced by robots, at least some of them.
They can say no but they don't really have much choice because they are minimum wage earners who work just to survive, but I think this is not permanent, it's just an experiment until they gather enough data, but that's the risk to their jobs since they could eventually be replaced by robots.
Investors would choose robots if they could as robots don't need rest, don't demand salaries, so companies could save money. Also in terms of production robots can be more accurate and efficient.

With time, AI is becoming stronger, its impact is seen everywhere, its use in industrial factories is increasing in the future, this whole thing is absolutely true that people will lose job because of it. The workers who are now recording their work with cameras on their head to earn extra money, if they were not doing this, then some other group would definitely be interested in doing the same because they would not miss the way to earn extra money.
To be honest, the use of AI will continue to increase gradually, this is a reality, there are still some tasks and will remain in the future which can never be controlled through AI, there are human uses and will remain in the future. However, to keep up with the times and the era, we must learn how to use AI properly, no work ever stops for anyone. However, if we can use artificial intelligence properly, then maybe in the future we will be able to keep up with AI.

This is why it is very expensive to be ignorant and myopic. And when you are poor, these are factors that will be exploited. It's not like these people don't know the implications of what they are doing, but they are more concerned about taking care of their present need. I know what they are doing is not smart, but I can't blame them. They might not be the ones to be affected by what they are doing. It could be the next generation because it would take time before the robots or software are ready to take their jobs. What I find funnier is that it's just a $5-$10 addition to their daily wage. I honestly can't judge them. You have no idea what that extra $5 means to them till you walk in their shoes. Illiteracy, ignorance and poverty are tools for the wealthy.

With the advent of AI, everything is being done in less time because it has knowledge of everything that exists in this world, so it makes our work easier quickly and due to this, the power of the human brain is decreasing. If it continues like this, we will work with much less intelligence going forward. If AI becomes more advanced, then robots that work harder than humans or something that can do everyone's work will be created, then people's jobs will be in danger. If AI becomes more intelligent and better, then we will be able to see ahead, which used to be quite difficult. In today's time, a car can be made with air pressure, which we used to think, but today it is not difficult. Therefore, gradually in the coming time, AI will become much better.

What choice do these workers have? If they refuse to teach the neural network by example, they will be immediately fired for systematic failure to fulfill their job responsibilities. Yes, this situation is sad and absurd in its own way, because these workers themselves will ultimately make themselves unnecessary. This reminds me of the salespeople in stores who were retrained as self-checkout assistants. And when all customers use these self-checkout machines honestly and skillfully, these salespeople and assistants will no longer be needed. Such are the costs of automation today, and this process is global and irreversible.

If you don't mind me asking, what is your personal contribution to AI training or anything at that level? I suspect it's zero. I think you're far far away from the experiments that could play a decisive role in the future of humanity. For starters, stop thinking that everything that's new is dangerous.

Even if they inform this workers about what they are doing and how it might affect them in the future, they will likely not stop doing what they are doing now because at this point they really need that money. 500-1000 rupees might not be a lot of money to someone else for them putting their job at stake but to them that’s a lot of extra money and they are ready to do anything just to get it. Most of this workers might be mostly uneducated and I can even assure you that explaining this thing to them might be like a waste because they might really not understand and I am also sure some of them if not all are aware of what they are doing, some might just want to ask for additional pay but they won’t stop.

This is not the only industry that will be affected, with the fast development of AI and robotics now I wouldn't be surprised if the employment rate goes down.
Even in China I have already seen videos of robots being used for combat, traffic enforcement, and maybe even the police force will be replaced by robots, not entirely but a significant number of people could lose their jobs. What we once saw in movies during the early 2000s is slowly becoming a reality already.

Not all new things they see is dangerous, but I thin the bigger risk here is the possible exchange of those short term pay gotten by those people. Because, in future those trainings they have done on Ai might actually give them a negative results. Since Ai bots can take their job in future. So benefits gotten by those people joining on this scheme is actually not even. I think the issue is not all about either Ai is bad or good for people, but rather on how working individual gets protection or job security.

You know what, if they don't do it they might loose the job, and it will affect them as job these days are hard to find, Meanwhile once they loose the job a lot more individuals will be willing to do it for that pay, so it's a loss for you, and that your action wouldn't change anything, you know there are some things that you can't seem to control and if it could cost you such loss it is better you just flow, When the time comes where AI seem to be causing harm we will figure out way through .

Try dismissing the offer and see how many people are willing to take the job. It didn't start now, people have been training AI to do so many things, in different sectors, although not every sector can be completely snatched by AI. Dress making is what I also think cannot fair with AI only, fashion evolves and it needs human creativity as well, if AI takes some part of business, I expect workers to evolve also into making use of the AI, in a way they won't go unemployed.

If they do not take the extra pay, other people will take it and still they may later lose job to AI which is still the same thing without receiving any pay for the work they do not do and that is done by another people Yes talk about trying to keep your morals and job for the future and your colleagues takes it leaving you with nothing now and also nothing in the future. But who protects this low income workers, it should be the government, Ai is going to be felt most by these guys who are being paid to teach Ai to take their Jobs, no wonder it's not even getting much consideration by those in power. The Government obviously. AI is advancing very fast because of these data and what the first quote says is right, if they don’t take the money, other people will and they’d still lose their jobs anyways. So you can’t really blame them for this since there’s no regulation whatsoever at this point. Dress making is what I also think cannot fair with AI only, fashion evolves and it needs human creativity as well, if AI takes some part of business, I expect workers to evolve also into making use of the AI, in a way they won't go unemployed.
These people training the AI aren’t the “Fashion industry creatives” rather they work based on the existing principles they were taught and offer their skills to earn money. So if the AI finally acquired the skills it needs to replace them with cheaper labour, they’d be the first ones to lose a source of income though new jobs would emerge with these advancement, they’d still find a means of survival..

The question is, can they refuse to wear these cameras as employees? because you can still lose your job for refusal to wear these cameras. If you refuse to wear a camera for it, another person will do so, so my opinion is that those who are aware of what the camera is for can start planning with the money they are receiving now for something else instead of being excited and spending it all because the time when they will be relived of their duties is very close.

Its possible the workers aren't aware of the implication, they probably have not been properly informed or told about it so they just go by the extra pay enticement which most persons working in a firm ordinarily will fall for, and even if they get informed about it now, there is little to nothing they can do about it than to start making preparations with the amount they are been paid so that when the time comes and they loose the job, they will be able to fall back to something using the money they already have at hand. It will be very proper if the company will inform them of what there fate will bein the near future so they can prepare their minds towards it and not to be taken by surprise when the implementation will take place and they loose their jobs.

When we have focus on what we want to achieve in life, then we will not be so much concerned about the background that serve as the souls to how we are being brought up, instead we are going to be more aligned with the possibilities to what we stand to achieve regardless of the conditions arising, this is not about a low income inner alone but anyone that can maximize any opportunity with him to be able to have financial freedom in the economy, making us more less defendant of anyone regardless of the situation than me transpired along the line.

AI technology is evolving, everyone keeps saying this and honestly with this trained system AI is definitely taking over meanwhile humans need salary either monthly or weekly, I bet when the AI is set the system only needs servicing. Workers get paid a huge some of amount just because they need every data stored in order to replicate an AI tool that can offer same function as human in cloth design, when human services are no longer needed just imagine what will become of these people and their skill? Just because this process is showed to viewers doesn’t mean other sectors don’t suffer same problem obviously this is a pattern. AI can’t replace humans totally, the problem is humans make this statement so difficult to believe though no level of data stored can be able to replace the original idea.
