Don't act like it's just the "uneducated" workers doing this. Coders spent the last decade feeding GitHub for free, and writers literally paid OpenAI $20 a month to train ChatGPT to replace them.

At least these guys are actually getting paid to dig their own graves.

I had goosebumps seeing this video, it's more like a suicide attempt or a person shooting himself in the leg. There's absolutely nothing wrong in chasing money but why chase money at your own detriment? Technology is really coming to challenge humanity and it's very appalling that they use money to lure people into volunteering this Ai training.

But then perhaps, you can accept the money if you have an alternative work to do when your job is taken and given to Ai in the future. But still, whether you collect the money or not, someone else will collect the money and do the job. I will say that everyone has to think of alternative jobs at all time and always try to improve yourself daily because there are greedy people out there ready to accept the money, you may not be needed in the nearest future.

No, they are not digging their own grave, I mean it is AI creating jobs and probably will end the old works. But about this particular matter if they don't film this then someone else will so no point in denying an extra income while everyone is struggling to meet their monthly needs. And AI can't replace most of the human work force they are going to affect tech field than others.

This means that humans themselves are essentially training AI. When a person shares his activities with video graphics or other intelligences, the intelligences are trying to simplify them and as a collective they are doing various tasks just like humans, in some cases several times better than humans. In this case, in the near future, humans may lose their jobs because if AI becomes more miserable than humans and if the cost of using AI is lower, people will give more priority to AI than humans.

I was sent THIS from a friend that we both have been discussing the future of the poor and low income earners in this era of Ai and this video shows lack of knowledge that many of the poor and low income earners have about the continuation of their little source of income.

In this video it shows workers wearing a camera mainly on their head and this camera tracks hand movements, process as they do their work and all of this is to train Ai to master what this workers are doing.

The short term finance that this worker gets is making them oblivious about the effect of what they are doing. according to the video these workers are paid around 1000 Rupees a day which is economically pleasing to then but at what cost.

This is more like technically teaching the AI the kind of job that they will be doing, so the camera helps in monitoring the hand movement and how workers process productivity, and at the end of the day this workers will be deposed of their duties, and consequently AI will be developed to supposedly take their jobs.

This is why I say man is unkind to mankind, why not create an AI that will help in advancing the productivity of the human being, especially those that are working in that company, an AI can be made to ease the stress of the workers, but this situation clearly shows that they want to create an AI that will take over the job of the workers, which shouldn't be so.

While many highly advanced AI models have emerged, if you compare the cost of using AI to perform the tasks of a human worker in a specific role, you will find that the "token costs" (operational costs) are so high that hiring a human is actually much cheaper.

While this might have significant implications in the distant future, I do not believe it will have any major impact on the next generation. You may have alluded to the most important side and I completely agree with you about the future of the world of work, but telling them to stop without providing a real solution for them in the end will never work. Let's say I alert them and then they ask What are the real steps and solutions I can offer?
Remembering that if someone tells someone else to stop working in a certain field means that you must be ready to provide alternatives as a form of replacement for the income they get.

Most workers do not know what the camera does and why they are working with a camera on their heads. They only know one thing, that if they work with a camera, they will get more wages. That is why they are working as AI trainers without any hesitation, but they are not yet aware of their true identity and are not aware of its consequences.

Even if some people are aware of this, they still have nothing to do. If they do not do that work, someone else will do it. That is why some people agree to enjoy temporary benefits despite being aware. Because, getting something is better than getting nothing.

Basically, we humans have become enemies of people, we should have some boundaries in the field of AI technology. If the sources of income are replaced by AI, the poor and illiterate will be the most affected. If they don't do it, millions would gladly take the offer. These are low-income workers who would take any extra job to improve their standard of living. These AI training tasks are already popular in developed nations, and they pay more than what they offer in India.

This is the data collection stage. Developing these AI tools that will perform these tasks perfectly is not easy. It will also be very expensive to develop such robots, so many businesses might not be able to afford it. Human labor will still be needed in so many industries.

Some of us train these AIs without any pay. I have read how some manufacturers of electronic gadgets embed components that record the activities of humans. They collect information from users secretly.

Why do you think that daily labourers go out to look for their daily bread because they're only concerned about what they can get now in order to survive. It's better that those labourers work at that moment to get paid till when they will be laid off and give the job to AI.

At least, during that time that they're working there, they have money to meet up to their needs and can also look for other means of income so that, they can easily switch to a long lasting one. Instead, of rejecting the job because it's a temporary one.

One thing is that if they refuse to do it, there are other people seeking the opportunity to earn such amounts and achieve the same task. The establishment has chosen to train their robots, so there is not much the employees can do. I don't see this as much competition, there are some logical thinking and decisions that robots would not be able to maneuver and humans would still be needed. Robots would be used for very basic tasks, but for very professional ones, it would be very hard. It would take a lot of time to train these robots to master those crafts. Skilled humans would always be needed.

In real life, it is not possible to change everything as you wish just by protesting. Many people accept something that they may not like or have to do against their will because they are also responsible for conducting the family.

Again, if an employee in an organization does not want to do the job, someone else may agree to take that opportunity. And if this happens, you will lose your job opportunity. However, I think that even if the type of work changes due to artificial intelligence, people have the opportunity to learn and adapt. Work that used to take a long time before can now be done quickly with the help of new technology.

Therefore, instead of just being afraid of change, we should focus on how to improve our skills in line with it.

It is true that what these workers are doing have implications which is to replace AI with human services, but do these workers really have  reasons why they should not wear this camera? This is actually a sewing company that hired these workers to work for them, and if you really want to earn some wages it means you have to accept it otherwise you leave. Many companies are really working on ai, and how it will replace humans, but the truth remains ai cannot be every where more especially when it comes to physical activities. I know that it will definitely limit human services more especially in companies that may involve the use of AI in their work environment. Furthermore, if you own a company, you are allowed to run your company with the technology you deemfeat. To still remain relevant in your career you can learn other skills that AI cannot operate such as construction jobs, trading etc.

If you refuse to wear a camera for it, another person will do so, so my opinion is that those who are aware of what the camera is for can start planning with the money they are receiving now for something else instead of being excited and spending it all because the time when they will be relived of their duties is very close.

Of course they wouldn't refuse but however lot of persons are actually thinking that those people are wrong in agreeing to wear those camera but actually I don't see it that way because those skill is something a lot of persons has so definitely with or without them it will be very easy for the company to get people that would help them achieve their project, however is also possible that the company is not doing it to replace them but meanwhile they might only be studying how they would use the knowledge to start creating machine that would enhance what they're doing but whichever be the case the employees will definitely find other company to work that wouldn't replace them with any machine.

In the first video I saw around last year or earlier this year, it was a group of males that were putting on this same head cameras which was also recording the activities of their hands while they were cutting and sewing fabrics. This people are doing this because the income is really needed by them and their families, even if they reject the offer, others will accept it. I don't believe that they do not know what they are doing, they must have been told what they need the video for but at this point, they don't care because they need the money. How are we even sure that this is going to end their job? They are local fabric makers, even if AI starts making same fabric, they would still have their own customer who comes to them because they believe in them more than whatever AI will create.

Well, this is just one case. What about those educated developers who are creating machines that they know will replace them later, and that has already replaced a lot of jobs! Aren't they aware of the outcomes of what they are going to do?

Why did they do that? They could have kept AI to themselves, which could have saved many people from losing their jobs! But who actually lost their job, who gained one because of AI, and who got to keep a job that they might have lost if there had been no AI? If it wasn't AI, something else would have come along to automate those jobs, right?

So AI has taken many jobs, but eventually, this time shall pass. Everyone will do anything for the things they love or need, whether it's their dedication to automating something that they know could be harmful to them in the future or whether they're doing it for money.

I would not mind having a world where something else does the hard work for me, but I do not think we should be encouraging it. AI is bound to become powerful enough to cause devastating damage to humanity. And it would only need to be a single hallucination away from doing damage. Not that I am against AI. Just about how much power we grant it.

Try dismissing the offer and see how many people are willing to take the job. It didn't start now, people have been training AI to do so many things, in different sectors, although not every sector can be completely snatched by AI.

You're right @ Obim34 I also believed that no matter how AI is been trained yet they can't snatch our job completely, if there's any job that AI  could take I think that should be those minor jobs. although there are some jobs that is a bit technical which AI could do but for them to do it more effectively they need human attention if not that there is likely to be an error.

Dress making is what I also think cannot fair with AI only, fashion evolves and it needs human creativity as well, if AI takes some part of business, I expect workers to evolve also into making use of the AI, in a way they won't go unemployed.

The thing is the developers have not look into that aspect because if they want to create an AI that would help in making fine dresses I don't think if that would be much of a big deal for them.

I guess that these folks have been debriefed of what they are doing, and that's training the Ai or robot that's going to replace them in their jobs. It's sad but it might be a blessing in disguise that forces them to learn new trade. And that's why it might look bad in the beginning but that's how innovation works and everyone who's affected by that change will start to look for another job that will be ai-proof. We also have seen companies which shifted from human labor to ai and then shifted back to human labor for it is costly to them.
